Dr. Raby was the physician that saw me and quickly determined that the area in question was indeed precancerous in nature. He treated it, and within a few weeks it was healed up nicely.

I had had a severe blister+red rash that had been present for 20 days. Dr. Bo diagnosed the cause and prescribed a topical steriod. Within a week, it was gone, at least decreased that it was essentially gone. I would go back and would recommend him. Dr. Bo listened and discussed and did not deliver a monoloogue. You felt part of the team, part of the process of fixing the problem.

    Mallette, Dr. Stephen G
I have used Dr. Mallette for several years and so has my wife.  His specialty is Dermatology, and he has a reputation for being one of the best Skin Doctors in North Alabama.  We have always been pleased with his treatment and impressed by his manner and expertise.  He listens to you and explains things well.  My only quibble is that sometimes it takes a while to get an appointment.  Overall, however, I give this guy an "A".

I became a patient of Dr. Rivera's office back in April 2015.  (Several physicians highly rated on Angie's List were not accepting new patients.)  Went in for a general dermatology visit to start, but mainly with concerns for Rosacea.  Started out with seeing the PA, Stephanie Rivera, who was very thorough in my initial checkup.  I've been losing my hair around my hairline, eye lashes, & brows over the last several years and an out-of-state dermatologist I was previously seeing did not prescribe any treatment.  Through Stephanie's treatment my scalp and hairline are much healthier.  While I could have received laser treatment by a different drs office for the Rosacea I waited until Southeastern made laser treatments available.  After two treatments I am extremely happy with the outcome.  Dr. Rivera's office has been thorough in describing the treatment, expectations, and post treatment care and follow up.  I highly recommend Southeastern.

Dr. Albert "BO" Rivera was very clear and receptive on all parts of doing the procedure. He described every step before proceding and made sure I was okay during every step of the procedure. He took the right amount of time without being too slow or too fast. He seems to really care about his work and his patients. I never felt like it was going to be a botched procedure. I felt comfortable the entire time. Dr. Rivera and his staff are great. They take the extra steps to make sure you have a good experience. I highly recommend Dr. Rivera and his staff at southeastern skin cancer and dermatology.

Dr. Sowell and his nurse were wonderful. Great bedside manner and they really care. The office area is somewhat cramped. The front office receptionist was not friendly and was on the rude side. It was my first visit and I walked up to the front desk and waited. No eye contact, no smile, nothing. I asked what I needed to do and she said sign in and I'll call you (like I was a school girl and she was doing me a favor). She finally called my name, asked for my drivers license and insurance card and said have a seat again (why she didn't ask me this before is beyond me). 30 minutes later she asked for to fill out some forms, so I did and returned the forms to her. Again no eye contact, thank you, etc. What really bothered me was there were many elderly people in the office. Both receptionists talked down to these patients. There were 3 elderly patients that came in and stated they had appointments. All three were told they did not have an appointment for six months. There seemed to be something wrong with the scheduling. These patients were not treated professionally nor were they given any empathy for having their day interrupted. When people do not feel well it is difficult enough to make the effort to go to the doctor - but to be treated this way is a crime. A medical office staff should reflect the values and core principles of the physician.

    Yates, Dr. Ruth A
Dr. Yates took over the practice of my former dermatologist. I have been using her for almost twenty years. Her staff know me by name, and my appointments are convenient. I am usually seen at my appointment time but no later than five or ten minutes of my appointment time. She remembers my name and my skin conditions before she refers to her chart. She does not recommend surgery when it is not warranted. She does not push cosmetic products or treatment, although some are available in her office. Her primary concern is the health of your skin, not how much money she can make through procedures that might improve the youthfulness of your face or skin. If I have a specific concern, she is knowledgeable about various treatments, their side effects, and the possibility of success. She always performs a visual scan of my entire body, looking for abnormalities that could indicate skin cancer. I am fortunate that she is my dermatologist.

The only dislike that I have is the wait time to actually see the doctor.  Other than that they are very professional and they work well for me.

I was a new patient and I was prompt and arrived on time to do my paper work. Before I could finish my paperwork they came to get me. I sat in the room and worked on my paperwork and still did not finish it when the Dr. came in. I don't think I have ever seen a Dr. that fast. He said the mole was a type that never turned to cancer and gave me a pamphlet to explain it. I asked to look at a very small spot on my nose that you could not even see. He looked and said that could be a small cancer and said he was going to take a small piece to have it checked. He left and the nurse gave me a shot and when it was numb and he came right back in and removed a very small piece. While I was there I asked him several other small matters and he was patient and answered all my questions. Very nice receptionist and extremely nice nurse.
