    Overall Catering Experience: Excellent. Will absolutely hire Bubba's again and would recommend Bubbas to others. My new husband and I were absolutely impressed with the way the food tasted and we were so proud of how the food was displayed and presented. I am serious. The food was outstanding. We chose and quot;The Weddingand quot; menu and it was perfect. Every single food choice on and quot;The Weddingand quot; menu was delicious and what was so awesome is that our guests made a point to tell us how much they loved the food during and after the reception. During our honeymoon my new husband and I received text messages about how great the food was! We were told the food was the best food some guests ever had at a wedding and honestly - the friends that shared those opinions don't give out genuine praise regularly so we were so proud! Ray was totally fine with serving Grilled Veggies in place of the original menu choice of assorted desserts and chocolates. AND when I asked Ray about allowing guests to request that vodka was added to their punch it was Ray that suggested offering the golden punch instead of the berry punch. I am sooooo glad he suggested the punch switch because the Golden Punch Cocktail was truly a signature aspect of our wedding that our guests RAVED about. The most talked about Menu Items among our guests included: The Shrimp and Crabmeat Cocktail The Flank steak pinwheels The Golden Punch (everyone LOVED it! It was the perfect mixer with vodka and my friends are still asking me how to make it!) Presentation: The food's presentation and display arrangement could have been straight out of a magazine. I was so proud to offer our guests such a beautiful buffet. Cake: Excellent. Our wedding cake was perfect! All I did was show Ray an image of a cake I wanted to replicate and he said, and quot;Got it. No problem.and quot; and I am not kidding when I say that he replicated that very same cake without any trouble! Ray explained that all the cakes and frostings they serve are made from scratch in their professional kitchen. Our wedding cake tasted fresh and its consistency was light and fluffy. The frosting was sooooo good too. Ray obliged my request for accent layers of Amaretto between the layers of white cake. He created the wedding cake I had been envisioning and it tasted terrific. I think it is important to note that I ordered a 5 tier wedding cake from Peggy Ann Bakery back in 2005. I was extremely disappointed in what Peggy Ann Bakery delivered to the event as it did not look anything like the cake I had asked them to replicate. It was the one thing I did not want repeated and I am glad to report that Bubba's delivered the wedding cake they promised I would get. Thank you Ray Maranda and Wedding Cake team! Day-Of Service / Catering Management: Excellent. Ray AND Bubba himself along with the on-site staff bartender (Micah) and on-site catering manager (Gina) set up right on time. Not too early and not too late. They set up quickly and without any glitches. Gina was an absolute DOLL! She was friendly, upbeat and energetic throughout the entire event. She was especially talented at assisting us at helping the event progress to the next step keeping the reception at a comfortable yet steady pace. She was so accommodating and flexible. I never once felt hurried or pressured to and quot;wrap things upand quot; by her. She was supportive and stayed keenly aware of what I or the Groom needed - for which I can't thank her enough! She made sure we had food to eat after we left the reception... Thank Goodness because we were starving!! Gina also brought life to our reception by talking with our guests and making sure they had what they needed. Bartending Service: Excellent. Very attentive. I didn't get to talk with Micah, our bartender, BUT I was told by several of my closest friends that he was very very attentive to their needs and requests. From the second the ceremony was over he and Gina mixed our signature cocktail, served red and white wine, beer and had cold sodas and water ready at all times. The bar service was outstanding and far exceeded my expectations. Event Clean Up: Very fast and professional Bubba's staff cleaned up and got out on time! They were awesome!!

    Cindy was recommended by a co-worker that had used her for her wedding cake and catering. I contacted her by email & set up a time for tasting. I went to her place which is a little bit of a drive, but worth every mile! You should not let that discourage you because you will not be disappointed. We tried her butter cake with buttercream icing. It was awesome! I brought a cake design to her that was a little different and she seemed excited to try something new. Cindy is really great and I highly recommend her!! If you want your guests to comment on how awesome your wedding cake is you should give her a call.

    We wanted a very special cake for our daughter's birthday. I called Ashley and asked for an appointment so that we talk with him about what we were looking for. I don't know if that's normal for a party cake, but he readily agreed and we made an appointment for the next day. Ashley was ready for us when we arrived for our appointment. We gave him a basic idea of what we wanted and we looked to him to fill in the details. He was very enthusiastic about our concept and happily added the details and flourishes that would make the cake really great. His wife Erica was also there and contributed to the planning. We arranged to pick up the cake the day of the party (Erica offered to deliver it, but it wasn't inconvenient for us to pick it up), which was about 10 days away. Before we left he brought us out some cupcakes, they were a delicious treat. The cake was ready as promised and it looked awesome. Everyone at the party thought it was really cool and our daughter loved it. Most importantly, it was delicious and almost everyone had seconds. We told everyone who asked about Cake Prince and will definitely order cakes from them in the future.

    They are very delicious. They have a fall and spring menu. You have to get there early or you will miss your favorite one. They are not cheap, but they are worth it.

    I needed a birthday cake in a hurry for a friend. I stopped in at Star Market on HWY 72 at about 10 AM and asked if they could have one done by about 5. They said no problem! The lady at the counter was very helpful and had some great suggestions for icing/decorations etc. They can make any color/combination and even do pictures on cakes. The cake was a chocolate with chocolate icing and was very fresh and delicious and my friend was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended, especially in a pinch.

    THE DESSERT FORK
    WE HIRED PAULINE,OWNER AT THE DESSERT FORK, TO MAKE MY DAUGHTER'S GROOM'S CAKE AND WEDDING CAKE FOR HER WEDDING. WE MET WITH HER SEVERAL MONTHS EARLY AND DISCUSSED WITH HER AND SHOWED HER EXACT PICTURES/COLORS OF WHAT WE WANTED. SHE SAID THAT SHE WOULD BE ABLE TO DO EXACTLY WHAT WE ASKED. IT TURNS OUT THAT THE GROOMS CAKE WAS DELIVERED AND WE WERE SHOCKED. IT DIDN'T LOOK ANYTHING LIKE WE ASKED, IT WAS SMALLER THAN WE EXPECTED, AND IT HAD A LARGE SMUDGE ON IT. WE PAID $400.00 FOR THE CAKE AND WE DID NOT GET WHAT WE PAID FOR. WE WERE EMBARRASSED TO PUT IT OUT. ALSO, THE WEDDING CAKE OF WHICH WE PAID $600 LOOKED NOTHING LIKE WHAT WE ASKED FOR. THE COLORS OF THE TIERS WERE NOT THE COLORS WE ASKED FOR. THE FLOWERS ON THE CAKE WERE NOT WHAT WE ASKED FOR EITHER. THE ICING LAYERS WERE ROUGH AND NOT SMOOTH. MY DAUGHTER WAS SO DISAPPOINTED! ALTHOUGH, THE CAKES DID TASTE VERY, VERY GOOD! I WOULD RECOMMEND, WITH ANY VENDOR, TO ONLY PAY ONLY 1/2 OF THE COST AND NOT PAY IN FULL UNTIL YOU GET THE FINAL PRODUCT. I THINK ALL VENDORS WOULD DO BETTER JOBS IF THEY DON'T GET THE FULL PAYMENT UNTIL THE END, AND WHY SHOULD THEY GET THEIR SATISFACTION OF FULL PAYMENT IF WE DON'T GET OUR SATISFACTION OF END PRODUCTS. IT'S REALLY NOTHING WE COULD DO A FEW HOURS BEFORE THE EVENT BUT ACCEPT THE CAKES OR NOT HAVE CAKES. YOU ARE REALLY JUST STUCK WITH THE PRODUCT WHETHER YOU ARE HAPPY OR NOT. THAT IS A LONG TIME SAVINGS OF MONEY FOR SUCH A SPECIAL EVENT TO NOT BE HAPPY WITH THE PRODUCTS. I HOPE THIS HELPS OTHERS WHEN THEY MAKE DECISIONS FOR THEIR MOST SPECIAL LIFETIME EVENTS.

    Peggy Ann Bakery
    When I was searching for a bakery to make the wedding cake I had been so excited about having at my wedding I was told to use Peggy Ann Bakery. So - taking the advice of others I made an appointment. My mom and I were directed to a small table off in the corner. After awkwardly waiting for a while some unprepared lady who seemed almost annoyed to be meeting with us -sat down at the table. Great start, right? I brought an image of the cake I wanted Peggy Ann Bakery to create for me. I explained that I wanted the cake to not have the normal dimensions that most cakes had. I wanted the cake's tiers to form a streamlined "A" shape and not the typical "steps" tiers often created. I also wanted flowers arranged like how they were in the image I brought. The lady looked at me as if I were speaking an alien language and sarcastically said, "Okay."  She really took the excitement out of ordering my wedding cake. I should've looked for another bakery- especially when she didn't want to keep the cake image I brought for reference...she said it wasn't necessary and that she knew what I wanted. She then told my Mom how they receive payment. After talking about the money- She then called out for somebody bring us a couple pieces of random cake at which point the lady got up and disappeared behind the counter...I guess the cake samples sitting in front of us were the signals that our time was up. I left feeling like just another regular customer - which I know is true. My Mom and I were customers like everyone else and my wedding was one of a hundred weddings Peggy Ann Bakery was making a cake for but I would have appreciated feeling like our order was valued. But I chalked it up and told myself that they were the pros and that if the lady said she knew what I wanted then I could trust them. I didn't hear back from them with questions or requests for clarification or anything. The next time I saw anything that had to do with my wedding cake was when I entered my reception in the grand ballroom at the Marriott. I had to ASK whose cake was on the cake table and where was my cake? THAT is how much the Peggy Ann cake did not look like the cake I ordered. Upon hearing, "That's your cake." I replied, "That's not my cake." I actually looked around the room before it hit me....That was in fact the cake Peggy Ann Bakery delivered. I was so disappointed and even writing about it now reminds me of how let down I really felt. I knew back then and I do know now it was just a cake and that there are more important things that make a wedding wonderful outside of  the wedding cake. BUT if Peggy Ann Bakery is in the business of making wedding cakes they should be the first to make an effort in delivering a product that meets  their clients' expectations. I never even received a follow up or review request or anything. I honestly feel like they took my parents money and dropped off a typical cake with white frosting. Looking back-  that Peggy Ann cake still sticks in my mind as the most disappointing aspect from my wedding.

    The provider had difficulty remembering the delivery location even though she indicated she had delivered there for other weddings. The bride's two-tiered cake was not constructed as agreed upon. There were no columns between the layers. The bride?s cake tasted frozen, was too dry to ingest, and lacked any flavor. The groom's cake was the better of the two; however, the butter-cream frosting was more like a lard based frosting without the sugar. At the end of the wedding, 3/4 of the bride's cake bottom layer remained and the whole top layer. Unfortunately, the remaining bride's cake was unedible and the entire remains were thrown in the trash. We feel we spent top dollar and received inferior quality.
