    David Jr, Dr. Salem K.
My husband and I took my son to the appointment. Dr. Benoit was prompt once we were in a room. He looked in my son's ears and I'm not sure that my son even knew what was happening - he didn't cry or fight at all. Dr. Benoit explained everything, kept asking if we had any more questions, was very kind and reassuring. I was very comfortable with him and the information he provided.

I was diagnosed with moderate to severe sleep apnea, both obstructive and central. During my test period with a CPAP machine after visiting and undergoing a sleep study, I realized that I was not having much luck with the machine on its own. I decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Loftin. One of the most influential points in choosing and allowing Dr. Loftin to perform surgery on reconstructing my nasal passages was the amount of time he spent with me before even diagnosing my issues. I've never had a doctor spend so much time getting to know me and trying to understand the issues and problems I was having. Even before I mentioned to him that I had previously tried a CPAP machine, he informed me that it would more than likely be of no use because my nasal passages were so crooked and obstructed. He went over every aspect of the surgery before I even decided if I wanted to proceed, just so I could better prepare and make my decision. I chose to have the surgery, and I could not be happier that I did. I am not sure I would have had the surgery had it not been for Dr. Loftin walking me through the entire process before hand and taking the time to explain everything in detail and answer any questions I had. I would definitely recommend Dr. Loftin at Tuscaloosa ENT!

Was referred from my primary care physician. Since it was not an emergency I made an appointment for a couple of days later. I downloaded the new patient forms from the office website and completed them before I arrived. When I arrived the desk team was very friendly and welcomed me to the practice. My wait was about 10 minutes. When I got back to the exam room the nurse confirmed my complaint and then took a quick check of my vital signs. The doctor arrive less than 5 minutes later. A quick discussion of the symptoms and an exam revealed the wax blockage. He advised the procedure to remove the wax would be very loud and could possibly loud enough to cause pain. He suggested that if it was too loud then we could use drops to dissolve the wax and clear it that way The procedure was loud but it was also over in a couple of minutes. The office staff filed my insurance claim for me and sent me a bill based on the expected payment. The insurance paid slighly less than the estimate and I'm expecting a bill for the balance soon. I paid the initial bill by phone with the office and have had no problems.

It went great. The staff is very friendly and the Doctor that we seen was very informative and took his time explaining Jayden's diagnosis to us and made sure he answered all my questions. Very kid friendly environment. A TV in each patient room for our viewing pleasure while we waited to be seen by the doctor.

First of all, it was easy to schedule an appointment, and I didn't even have to wait long to get in (around a week). When I arrived to the office, it was busy and almost all of the seats were occupied; I was worried that it meant there would be a long wait time, but luckily I was wrong. I had already filled out what I thought was all of my paperwork before my appointment (they had downloads available on their website), but when I got there the receptionist said that those forms were outdated and I had to do additional paperwork (annoying, but very much tolerable). I got into an exam room and the nurse asked me the usuals about what medications I take, my height and weight (which they just took my word for, strangely enough), allergies, and so on. Dr. Stephenson was, on the surface, nice, but he was literally in the room for 3 minutes, never sat down, never looked at my profile, and after I told him my symptoms and all of the doctors I had seen, he looked in my nostrils and said and quot;this is definitely neurological, I can't do anything from my standpoint.and quot; I continued to tell him that I came to see him because I have been having severe motion sickness along with the headaches, and that my symptoms seem to correlate a lot with an inner ear disorder (which my psychiatrist suggested as well). But he just brushed it off, didn't even look in my ears, and said and quot;No its definitely neurological.and quot; And then he was gone. When I went to check out, I had to pay a $30 copay (which I thought was ridiculous because he didn't even consider my problems), and the receptionist gave me a four page hand-out on one of the medications I've been taking for years (Vyvanse), which is in the most controlled legal drug class (along with Adderall and Oxycontin). It was just weird, I couldn't help feeling as if they were suggesting I'm misusing or abusing it, but apparently they and quot;haveand quot; to give it out to any patient on a controlled medication. That was just the cherry on the top of a super frustrating, depressing, and dishartening office visit. I would not recommend Dr. Stephenson, but perhaps someone else will have better luck with him...
