ABlair ExteriorsAfter a bit of a hiccup at the start the owner, Billy, got involved and everything went extremely smooth afterwards. The work was done by Dave and his crew. Dave is a very easy guy to deal with, has good ideas/suggestions and was very punctual. He and his crew cleaned up daily and would give me updates on what they expected to get done the next day. This job took a few more days than they expected but I never got the impression they were trying to rush to get through. The final work looks great and was done exactly as we discussed before the project started. I am very pleased with my deck and have already gotten many compliments on it's appearance from recent guests. I have no complaints to share and would use Blair again.- John G.

ABlair ExteriorsAll the work has been done in a professional manner. Scott and Juan did a great job installing the new deck floor and building the wall and roof systems. By going with a gable roof we are able to use a ridge vent to remove heat from the attic of the screened porch. the ceiling was insulated and a vinyl ceiling installed as was the electrical outlets for outdoor use. The exterior vinyl siding was installed on the gable and soffits and eves. Everything looks great and the vinyl siding helps matched the screened porch with the house. In other words it doesn't look like a add on. It looks like it was originally designed to be a part of the house. Everyone did a great job on this screened in porch and the roof system attached to the existing roof very well and the new roof for both the porch and house tied it all together. ABlair ExteriorsBlair was the most responsive and professional of the companies we asked for an estimate. We didn't want to hire and architect and building contractor separately (as some building companies suggested)--Blair did everything for us. Their design exactly fit our idea and they even added small details to make the screen porch really match our house. Our main contact was readily available by phone or email and he stopped by the house frequently. The same workmen came each day, whether they were pouring concrete, painting, or doing detailed building. The guys were personable and cleaned up after themselves each day. There were a few glitches with the electrical and gas lines but they were remedied immediately after Blair was notified. The project took MUCH longer than expected, but since it was a screen porch and they were building during the winter, we weren't in too much of a hurry. At the end of the project, we exchanged emails regarding anything left unfinished, and without any problems, we agreed on the remaining tasks. It was an expensive project, but we are really happy with the outcome and would trust them to do other jobs just as well.- Julie P.

AJoel RhodesWe hired Joel to screen in our existing covered deck, which he did April 2-6, 2018. He and his crew did a fantastic job. They completely rebuilt the wooden components on the exposed three sides (that is, everything except the existing weight-bearing corner beams, ceiling/roof structure, and floor). They custom built all the screens with metal frames for 18 openings. They replaced the old screening in an area where custom-built screens would have been nearly impossible. They rebuilt/replaced portions of the deck that are outside of the screened-in area and thus had incurred excessive weathering and damage over the years. They installed a storm door. They power washed the entire deck and stained it in two solid colors of our choice (except for the ceiling, which we asked them to leave as is). Joel was 100% reliable and incredibly easy to work with. He was on site for the entire project, and he and his crew were skilled, efficient, and friendly. They cleaned up at the end of each day and at the end of the project (when the work was completed, it was hard to tell they had ever been here). Joel went way above and beyond, with excellent craftsmanship, exacting attention to detail, and obvious pride in his work. We got the distinct feeling that Joel was treating our project with the same passion and perfectionism that he would were he working on his own deck at home. We are absolutely thrilled with the result every single day, and we wholeheartedly recommend Joel.- KERRY S.

ANorth Alabama BuildersThis company had installed some hardwood floors in my home and repaired some deck columns approximately 10 years ago and did a great job. Most recently, the work that I initially hired them for involved repairs to a ceiling and bathroom caused by water damage. They did such a good job that I decided to hire them to perform some other remodeling work that I had been putting off. NAB performed the following work: Repaired water damage to walls and ceiling caused by a plumbing leak, Repaired plumbingRepaired electrical problems, Remodeled Kitchen-which included refinishing cabinets, installing new granite counter tops, rebuilding a center island, installing custom made hardwood tile flooring, Painted entire interior - and by the way this company has the best painting team around, Replaced all windows and exterior doors, Installed custom built hardwood flooring in several rooms and installed regular hardwood flooring throughout the remainder of my home, finished out my Attic and built a 10 foot cedar storage closet, Repaired roof leaks, pressure washed exterior and sealed windows, pressure washed and sealed outdoor deck, Painted exterior and Rebuilt a rock retaining wall. What started out as a small repair project, turned into a big project and I could not be happier with the results. It can be daunting to continue living in a home when it is undergoing a major overhaul, however, NAB worked to insure that we were caused as little inconvenience as possible. They were very professional and courteous. They showed up when they said they would. They left a clean work area each day. They performed quality work. This is the company that I will call upon for any future repair or remodeling needs and I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.- Kay C.

Brent and his team worked with me to create unique custom flooring for my home, consisting of hardwood tile which was designed and built by Brent’s company. Brent surrounds himself with a team of honest, hardworking individuals. I never hesitated to leave them alone in my home and they respected and protected my furnishing during the remodel.
