    The Birmingham Handyman
Shawn exceeded our expectations on the island he completed for us. The quality of his work is exceptional and his price was fair. He ordered all the hardware I needed at his discounted price. Shawn was always on time, professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. We would recommend him to anyone who has small jobs around the house to be finished!

    Platinum Painting and Home Improvements
It went well. They came and gave me an estimate the next day and worked me in really quickly to help me get my house on the market as soon as possible. They finished the job in less than a week. Great job on the painting and very convenient that they were also able to do the repairs and I didn't have to contract anyone else. My house went under contract the day after it listed, so obviously our buyers approve of the paint job as well.

    J. Howard Painting LLC
It was great. Jesse came out quickly after I contacted him to give us an estimate and then came within a couple of weeks once we decided to have the work done, completely finishing the job a week ahead of our deadline. He and his crew were extremely professional and very nice. They arrived right on time every day, worked hard all day and cleaned up behind themselves. I felt completely comfortable leaving them in the house while I was at work or had to run errands and they were very good about locking the house up if they left before I got back home. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again in the future.

I couldn't have been happier as seen by my all "A" rating in every category. I'd hire Joe and crew again in a flash and have already given his card to my daughter. I've painted many rooms before in my younger and better eyesight days and am very fussy! I could not have done better myself. Attention to detail was excellent. Dry wall repair was perfectly done. All blinds were put back up and the place was clean when we moved back in. Just wonderful.

    Dream Baths Of Alabama, LLC
There were some unforeseen delays due to contractors family death & a hospitalization but the workers knew how to do anything that was needed. I was very pleased with the workmanship & overall job.

    CertaPro Painters of Hoover
Once the workers were aware of the proposed work to be done they said it couldn't be done in the fashion that was quoted. Preston called me at that time to inform me that he was unaware of the problems that existed with my previous paint job, that this job would be much more labor-intensive to complete. The conversation reeked of the old bait and switch. I could tell that he was fixing to ask me for more money than he had previously quoted, so at that time I chose to cancel the job

    SouthFace Renovations LLC.

SouthFace did an outstanding job!    Many, many compliments have been received.  The company did everything the owner said his company would do.  When I asked for time with the owner to review the job he was incredibly responsive.   The job didn't deviate from the estimate one penny. If you think this amount is high, all I can say is "You get what you pay for."  Our house is beautiful.   The time projected for the completion was met as well.   [The reason this is a few months late is we just moved in.  I've waited until after the move to do the reviews of the companies we used.]

    ANDY OnCall Birmingham
House is a 1962 Brick Colonial with 3 11.5 foot columns. Andy on Call was recommended by my boss and reviews were good on Angie's. Called back on 10/15 got an estimate were pleased with it good response time. Told them we would call back when we were ready and asked how long estimate was good for, they said price wouldn't change unless materials went up. Contacted them back on 2/5/16 to let them know we were ready. They asked if they could call us back on 2/8 they wanted to go over estimate and make sure nothing has changed. We heard back on 2/9 estimate was $300 more but we needed the work done we liked them so asked them to proceed they said they would go ahead and order materials would take a week to a week and a half to get materials and then they would contact us on scheduling the work. After 2 weeks had passed I contacted them on when they expect on receiving materials and scheduling work to be done I got a blanket response of materials should be in a week to week and a half will contact you then. I received a call on 2/28 asking if they could come out immediately and do the work I said sure, they then called me back and needed access to power and water so I ran to the house on lunch break to assist. My husband got home around 4pm columns were up, no one was there, but they looked great. Next day received another AM call asking if they could come paint them,  again I said yes, I met them at my home around 11:30am to pay them. Work was done. Painting has plenty of room for improvement I mentioned that I could still see the color of the composite columns thru the paint, he told me he put 2 coats on it, hesitated then said he could put another coat on it if I wanted. There is alot of roller knapps on them too. I declined because it was suppose to rain and storm and it would just run off anyway. My husband and I have to paint the columns again ourselves. Other than that overall, I would recommend to them to keep better contact with customers and to be prepared to "fix" anything before being packed up and ready to leave, they were very professional and nice and cleaned up any mess very well. The columns do look very good besides the paint job.

    Cabinetry Refinishing, LLC
We received two estimates for our cabinets, and they were relatively comparable in price. However, the level of attention to detail, knowledge, and professionalism of Paul and his team at Cabinetry Refinishing LLC made this is very easy choice for us. He brought physical samples of the finished product with him so that we could see and touch them, and they also have a great warrantee on their product that the other company did not offer.

As far as the process, it lasted two weeks start to finish. It is usually quicker, but we had a few hiccups occur (ie, we changed the shade of paint mid-job) so ours lasted longer. The workers were very professional and nice- I never felt wary about who was in my home. Paul communicated daily by either phone or email letting us know what they had done, what would happen next, and when they would be by. They were really great to work with. I will be the first to admit that we were a COMPLETE PAIN. We had many things we asked to be touched up, redone, done again, etc etc. I'm sure they died a little on the inside every time we called or texted during the job because we were extreme perfectionists and were very nitpicky. In spite of that, Paul was always exceptionally professional and responsive, and took care of everything we asked for immediately and without complaint. You never would have known we were pestering him constantly- he was a class act and is very proud of his finished product, so he goes above and beyond to ensure that it turns out just right. Overall, we are very happy with the work that was done and would recommend them without hesitation. We love our new, bright kitchen and couldn't be happier!

    Punch-List Repairs LLC
Ron and his partner, CJ, are very prompt and professional. They are not only courteous and very pleasant, but are also very tidy and respectful of the client's home. Their work is excellent, and very detail oriented. Getting the crown molding around the closet to tie in with the existing crown in the room without having to tear out the existing molding was tedious and time consuming, but they kept tweaking their cuts by hand with a coping saw until it looked seamless. I have used Punch List Repairs in the past before this job, and will continue to call them for future work. Their prices are fair, they are timely in responding to my calls, they complete their work quickly and efficiently, and they clean up thoroughly after themselves at the end of every day, and again at the end of the job. I highly recommend them.
