ASkyline constructionMy floor was so rotted a sister came visiting and was scared of falling through. I called another company that put me off. Then I called Brian at Skyline Construction (256)5042580 He came right over, gave a quote and started working the next day. I have a background in civil engineering and a "jackleg" carpenter but at my age this was a bit to much for me to take on. A bathroom floor is about the toughest project out there. The joist and decking were shot and leaking plumbing added to the damage, all under tile. In short, he done the demo, replaced some leaking pipes and put down flooring, a lot less than those other guys quote. When my sister visits again I'll be proud to show off my new bath- Joel w.

AMaxs FlooringThese guys are excellent. Max came promptly to give us an estimate that was a fair price! They worked with me to pick up and hold my flooring material prior to install. I live 300 miles from our lake cottage where the actual install was to be done. Max and his office manager handled our distance project planning with efficiency and kindness. On install day Max and his crew arrived promptly as scheduled. We were kept in the loop on every step of the project install and Max’s crew were marvelous to have in our home; working effectively and get the task accomplished. In addition, they wore masks the entire time they were working in my house which we very much appreciated as we have some at risk grans we are striving to protect. The crew cleaned up daily and did an excellent job on the new floors. They are perfect and exceeded my hopes. I would highly recommend this contractor and would definitely use him in the future.- Dee S.

FEmpire Today®It went terrible. The installers set off the smoke alarm 3 times, refused to wear mask in the house and did damage to the property. We complained and the came back a month after install and did nothing. We complained again in November and were purposely ignored for over 3 months! They ignored us till we threatened the BBB. When the office manager showed up she agreed with all the issues. Told us they would fix it to our standards. Now they are refusing to. They did not install the quarter round properly, left a hole in the wall from the knee kicker, all transitions are loose, ripped the trim off our cabinets, broke the door stoppers and pulled the base boards loose when pulling up the old carpet. They even left the toilets loose. Now they are only stating they will only fix the quarter round and toilets. The office manager is a liar with poor customer service. We paid $14,000 for this and only got $6,000 worth of quality. Don't trust these people.- P E.

FMac Handy ConstructionThis job was awful from start to finish!! I paid 1/3 up front and he ended up spending that on something other than my materials. I ended having to go buy the rest of the materials so he could finish the job. He wouldn't show up until 11 and then leave at 3. I think one day he worked until 6. Some days he just didn't show up at all and didn't let me know. He would hardly get any work done and then ask for more money. His work is below average at best. He left the job and it truly isn't finished yet. The sanding that was done on the drywall never completed. He argued over doing things that we agreed on. When I told him this he just cussed me out and threatened to come out and rip up the work he had done. Wouldn't recommend him for any work.- jay w.

Ahe done a great job. The floor had rotted out under tile. I have a background in civil engineering and a "jackleg" carpenter, but at my age this project was to much for me to take on. When a sister came to visit she was afraid of failing through! I called Brian, got a quote and he started the next day. This sort of project is the hardest any contractor can take on . He completed it in a day and a half and a at fair price. I'll be proud to have company to come over.
