    Hastings Lawncare
Hasting Lawn Care treated my yard & the landscaping that was done, as if it was his own yard.. He was punctual with the time & very professional.. He was very patient with me, because I really didn't know what I wanted to do with planting the flowers.. He gave me some suggestions & sent pics of different landscaping jobs he previously done, so I could have an idea of what he thought look good for my yard.. He went the extra mile to do things to my yard that was needed without me having to ask.. He also called in a few days to see how my yard & landscaping coming along after planting the flowers, etc. I never had a lawn service that even cared about how my yard looked days later unless I called to schedule an Appt. for a service.. I have to say Hastings Lawn Care is by far the best lawn care provider I've ever used for my landscaping & lawn services.. If you are looking for professional, excellent customer service, great work, & a company that take pride in their work.. PLEASE contact Hasting Lawn Care!!

    Green Wave Turf & Landscape
Eric and crew were amazing, he let me know the shape of the house (again, I was out of state and could not see for myself how bad of shape the lawn was in). Everything was professional and reasonable- I was sent an estimate before the work was done via email and accepted it. The crew was not only on time, but even early and the yard looks great! I would highly recommend them for personal use and especially for anyone who has rental property and needs dependable service.

    Emerald Lawn Service

Jason's team has done a good job, regularly attending to our lawn care needs. They cut and bag our grass, edge, and blow off our deck and driveway. They also fertilize our lawn and do weed control on a maintenance schedule five times a year. We have NO weeds! They can do other services as needed, including aeration, trimming bushes and hedges, etc. They have an experienced crew and use professional equipment. My husband is relieved that they do such an excellent job and he doesn't have to worry about the lawn anymore.

I don't know what to think about Bibbs Lawn Service.  I purchased a "Big Deal" from Angies List to install 450 sq. ft. of sod for $299 using Bibbs Lawn Service.  They had an A rating at the time.  I sent them my name and phone number and waited on a phone call to schedule the work.  When I didn't get a call from Bibbs, I found their number on the internet and called them.  I talked to a man who said he was the owner.  When I asked when he could do the work, he said he couldn't commit at that time but he would call me next week.  Next week never came.  I tried numerous times to call them but all I could get was an answering machine and they would not return my calls.  So no work was performed and when I tried to get a refund from Angies, I was told I was a few days over the 30 day limit to get the refund.  Totally disgusted.with all aspects of this transaction.

    A Man With A Tractor
He has a good website and does great work. They're very friendly, very professional and very honest. He had a big tractor and moved some items for us. We also had a lot of rocks that needed to be moved. It was like whatever we wanted done, he'd be happy to do. He was very nice.

    Jon's Tree Service
Everything went well with the exception of the removal of debris.  Jon and his team snagged an extra job from one of my neighbors to remove one of his Bradford Pear trees from his yard while they were at my house.  They did a good job on the removal of my bushes, shrubs, and trees as well as my neighbor's tree.  My neighbor and myself told Jon that yes, we wanted the debris  moved as all of it was piled high on my lawn (including my neighbor's tree).  Both of us were told independently by Jon it would be removed - I was told it would be the next day and I was fine with that.   They never came back which left the public works to remove all of it on Monday.  Public works only removed the biggest pieces which resulted in a tremendous mess on my lawn that I was unable to get to cleaning up until the following weekend due to my work obligations and rain.  I had taken off the day of the removal and the day after precisely so I could deal with any clean-up, and I had scheduled this job back in August.  I got a nice little notice from the homeowner's association that I was in "code violation" with the debris left on my lawn.  While they are nothing but bully busybodies who freak out over small things and have zero common sense in matters like this, it still should not have happened.  My neighbor was super apologetic and even helped clean up the mess when he got back in town because he was so embarrassed.

    Sure Cuts Lawn Care
I bought a foreclosed home in August of 2012 and the bank refused to cut the back yard of the house.
There was one tree that needed to be cut for insurance purposes. Mr. McDaniels and his assistant have been working on my yard to get it into the best shape. He has taken what was dubbed "The Jungle" for the extreme over growth and has turned it into a beautiful oasis. My yard went from looking like a scene from a hunting show to a beautiful, lush landscape. I am trilled with the results. He has removed more than five cumbersome trees, removed bushes, trimmed the yard, cut grass, and too much to name. I think I may have underpaid for the services that he provided. Mr. McDaniels and his assistant were friendly and easy to talk to. They took the time out to make a long term plan for how to achieve the results that I wanted. He listened to my needs and created a plan that suited my needs. He comes over bi-weekly and does everything under the sun for a great price. Now all he does is maintain my yard.

    S&M Lawn Care
Shilow gave me a price to supply and spread pine straw annually, and mow my lawn every 3 weeks.  He showed up the first time and layed the pinestraw.  He underestimated how much pine straw he needed so it ended up costing me more than he initially said.  That was fine.  He did a good job with the pine straw and a good job mowing the lawn.  Both of those jobs happened together.  However, he never showed up 3 weeks later.  I called him.  He acted surprised that no one had come to cut.  However, another week passed, and no one came to cut.  After more phone calls and messages that weren't responded to, I finally had to cancel him by email.  Bottom line, he never showed up to do the work.  At a minimum, if you can't do it, or just don't want to do it, TELL THE PERSON that.  Otherwise--shady business.

    Details Lawn & Landscape
I called and left a message on a Friday afternoon to ask for a quote for some yard work.  Michael of Details Lawn & Landscape contacted me the following Monday.  I found him to be very polite, courteous, and professional.  I would have loved to have done business with him, but unfortunately, his business does not do work in Alabaster.  But if he's ever able to come down to Shelby County, I will definitely be calling him.

This was a professional experience from start to finish.
I took the lawnmower in on a Saturday, explained the issues. The service manager, listened and then clearly explained the possible causes and what they could do to fix the problem. He gave an approximate completion date of two weeks (as well as an cost estimate), but he thought they should be able to get it done sooner.
Got a call 10 days later saying the repair was complete. The issue was with the carburetor, he stated that they had to boil out it twice in order to repair. This indicates to me that they are not trying to over charge for work that was not necessary. They could have easily said the carburetor was bad, and just replaced it. This would have fixed the issue as well, but would have cost at least another 100-150 dollars.
Picked up the lawnmower a few days later, it runs perfect. They did a complete maintenance cycle on the mower, sharpening the blade, changed the oil, spark plug and air filer. Mower looked new.
