    Stephen's Appliance
Company was sent by American Home Shield Warranty. Technician started that the evaporator coils needed replacing. By contract the company is supposed to notify AHS and give diagnosis so AHS can make a decision, after 5 days I called the company over 5 times and got no answer. I called AHS and found out Stephens had not contacted them either about diagnosis. AHS was finally able to contact Stephens and Stephens had decided to not contact AHS but let another Vendor do it. AHS was forced to find another vendor and give us emergency status since we had been without a refrigerator for 8 days. I received a scathing email from the owner because I had reported his company to AHS and the BBB. Most unprofessional company I have dealt with in years. If you look them up on BBB you will see this us the norm for this company and I would avoid at all costs.

Appreciated the notification text showing a picture of the technician and estimated arrival time. Our technician was respectful of our home, polite, explained everything in detail and worked in a timely manner. Best of all, our dishwasher is working again at a reasonable price. Will definitely use Mr. Appliance again & recommend them to my friends and family!

We have a home warranty with a home we purchased this year.  About 4 weeks after moving in, the dishwasher began having problems, so we called the warranty company.  It took 2 days for S&S to contact us to set up an appointment after receiving the work order, another 7 business days for the diagnosis visit (scheduled to arrive between 2-4, actually arrived about 5), part replacement visit scheduled for 4 business days later (including a weekend and Thanksgiving) no one showed up for this scheduled visit.  I had to call them to find out that the part had not come in.  Although they told the warranty company that the part was on hand that afternoon, it took another 5 business days to actually come and install the part.  We had a confirmed arrival window of between 8 and 10 in the morning.  The technician called after 10 to ask if he could come later in the day.  I had no choice if I wanted to part installed.  He came about 4:30 that afternoon and replaced the supposed faulty part.  We repeated the problems that we were having with it, including not draining.  He said it was working fine and left.  I  ran the first load of dishes and it didn't drain.  The dishwasher is unusable.  I called back the next business day and the less than friendly receptionist indicated that I would need to recontact the warranty company to get them back out.  Fortunately, the warranty company allowed us to call another company without incurring a second service fee.  After dealing with this company for a month now, I cannot recommend them to anyone.  I am generally very gracious and can tolerate a great deal of inconvenience.  An apology, a timely courtesy call for the late and missed appointments, or any effort on their part to make me think they were trying to fix the problem would have gone a long way with me.  Actually fixing the problem would have gone farther.  Basically, I have dealt with the hassle of a company for a month and I am right back where I started, with a broken dishwasher.

Dishwasher would not drain water during cycle. Repairman said it was a bad timer, cost would be $289. He order it, came back a week later and installed the timer. Dishwasher still did not drain water. Missed 2 appointments to come back. Finally came back, ran the dishwasher through the cycle manually and said it was fine. Dishwasher still does not drain water and now the soap cup will not open. Company refuses to return calls, will not give my money back. They have a warranty on the back of their receipt that they will not honor. I spent $289 and now I have to but a new dishwasher in order to sell this house.

The owner called on Friday to let me know the part for my refrigerator was in and that they would be out Tuesday to do the repair. Monday was a holiday or they would have been here Monday. It was not an emergency repair so Tuesday was fine with me. He scheduled a repair time for Tuesday. Fifteen minutes for the scheduled time the service man called to let me know he was on his way to my house and would be there soon. He arrived at the scheduled time and began the repair. He went above and beyond the request for repair because he found a leak in the seal of the freezer door. He removed the freezer seal and untwisted the kink in the seal and replaced it. He could have only done what was asked but when he found the other problem he fixed it also. I cannot say enough good things about this service man or this company. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. It was because of a good comment on Angie's list that I called them in the first place. They are great!!!!

My dryer would run, but not heat. Called another service repair person who was closer and seemed like he could get the job done sooner. After 3 days with other company and still no heating dryer I called Mr. Appliance. They arrived on time. Repair person seemed familiar with my dryer. Got right to work and finished within 30 min. with a heating dryer! Person was very neat and tidy. Very respectful of my time. Mentioned that I should consider getting the vent cleaned, but explained how we could check to see if there was a problem. Also explained that many people do it themselves and how. Did not seem to be trying to sell me a service, but just mentioning that it was something to consider in the future if we have more trouble. I will call them in the future for any appliance problem I  have. Very happy.

Beware!. He came back on Wednesday to replace the parts. Stated that he tried it out and that it worked fine. I did not check it. (My mistake) So I paid him and he left. Later when I entered the laundry room, I noticed that he did not clean up after himself. Old parts, boxes from new parts, and lint were all stacked up on my dryer. When I went to use it, it still had the same problem. It runs but does not heat. I called right away, left a message on voicemail. No return call. I called again the next day, left a message on voicemail. He did then return my call with in an hour. I explained that the dryer still had the same problem. He immediately went into what could be the problem: a, b, and c. None of which made me feel taken care of as a customer. I would have appreciated hearing that he was sorry that I was still encountering the same problem and that he would put me at the top of his list for that service day. He did not. One of his statements made me feel a little angry. Saying that he had checked it and that it was working when he left. That there must now be another issue. I told him a just wanted the dryer fixed and was disappointed with his response. He agreed to come out and take a look again giving me yet another 4 hour window of time. Later he called stating that since I questioned his work he would not be coming. Told me that I was not a believer in people. He did however return my check, so I can't fault him there. I trust when I pay someone to do a job that they have done it. Since we still had the same issue, I did lose faith that he could do the job, but was still willing to allow him to make it right even if he charged me with another call. I have never had someone treat me with such disrespect and hope to never experience that again. He has many good reviews on here so I believe that there are other times that he does good work. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with him.

I called Greg and left a message. He returned my call the same day. He said he did not work on Samsung but gave me some tips as to what could be wrong. Greg worked on our washing machine and dryer in November. He is a quality person who helps even though he is not making any money. His tips were very helpful.

The service was excellent.  The company came out right away and gave us an estimate of the cost, ordered the part and re-turned within a couple of days to do the repair.  They kept us up to date on the status of the part and called us to set up the return visit. The service tech showed up in the time scheduled and was courteous and efficient.  He took apart the washing machine and replaced the cold water valve system. In addition he positioned the washing machine and the drier in a perfect position before leaving.

I left a message on Greg's phone on the weekend before Veteran's Day. The answering machine does not have a message saying it is ASAP Appliance Service so I was not sure that I had called the correct place. My husband called again on Veteran's Day. Greg talked to my husband and told him he could come out on Tuesday at 2:00PM.
Greg arrived early on Tuesday. He did not find anything wrong with the washer other than the hose going down the drain too far. He pulled the hose out. He cleaned out the dryer vent that had some packed lent in the outside exhaust.
Both washer and dryer are working fine now. Greg did not charge anything for this work. I would definitely use ASAP again.
