    Alpine Urgent Care
I took my son (3) to Alpine Urgent Care on March 8, 2020 as he needed two stitches which he received. I have Aetna insurance but was asked to pay over $600 out of pocket because it was a Sunday and my insurance couldn’t be verified. This was ok, and I paid it. On April 6, 2020, my insurance paid Alpine $531.00. I was contacted April 16, 2020 by their billing department stating that I was to receive the $531.00 refund by mail. In May, I contacted the billing department twice, left voicemails which were never returned. In June, I contacted the front desk on three separate occasions, the first time, June 4, I spoke with a male, who promised to have this taken care of same day, then June 9, I spoke to a female who took my credit card information and promised to refund me that day, which never happened. The last time June 18, I asked for a manager who wasn’t available, I left my phone number for a return call June 19, which never happened. My experience at Alpine Urgent Care was pleasant but the lack of regard for the refund I am due is disturbing. Alpine Urgent Care has been paid twice for a service and to date, refuses to contact me or issue a refund. This is BAD business.

    Alpine Urgent Care
I found Alpine Urgent Care using a google search. They were highly recommended, and I understand why. My daughter had been seen by several providers before coming to Alpine due to what was being diagnosed as an upper respiratory infection. After looking talking with her for just a few minutes, he was able to diagnose her with ebstein barr virus. We were so relieved. He was very professional and knowledgeable with a great bedside manner. The office was BEAUTIFUL, and the staff was super nice. We were in and out in less than a half an hour. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Alaska Regional Senior Health Clinic
I had tried another clinic with less than satisfactory results, so decided to try this clinic. I was very happy that I was able to get an initial appointment within a reasonable time period. The atmosphere was very positive, the people very friendly, professional , and compassionate. One of the key things was that I was seen by a Dr. On every visit, ( at the other clinic, in 3 visits , I never saw more than a PA.) I have remained with this clinic, because of the excellent care I have received at every appointment.

Heart of Eagle River Medical Clinic
Heart of Eagle River Medical takes Medicare and they are fast and efficient. They are pretty much full service. They are really knowledgeable about billing. They follow up a few days later to see how you are doing, and are really accommodating, sending prescriptions where you want them. The office is accommodating. They have a child's area for them to play and have magazines. They are good at explaining. I will continue to use them.

Very pleased with this urgent care clinic-have used several times over the past 5 years for both my wife and myself. Best in town from my experience.

    Alpine Urgent Care
I had this cyst go bad when I was on vacation and by the time I got home it was huge and painful, and I had a fever. Alpine Urgent Care is open until 9pm every day, which was very helpful because I finally realized I needed to have this thing dealt with on a Sunday evening, kind of late. This was a wound that had to be packed, scraped out, packed again, and checked every few days for several weeks, so I had numerous follow-ups at Alpine. The office is nice, comfy, simple, and modern, and didn't have that icky doctor's office feel so many places have. The office is first come, first serve, so wait times vary, but in my many visits (10-12 maybe?) I was only unhappy with the wait once or twice when they were really busy. I was very happy with both doctors at Alpine -- Dr. Cummings is laid back and easy going, and Dr. Davis is more thorough and conservative. It was a nice combination to have both looking after my wound, because it was like a built in second opinion. Neither one was intrusive or pushy, and they both took care to make sure my wound healed properly. Overall, it was nice to go to a friendly place where you could get in, get fixed, and get out without a hassle, unlike running the gauntlet, answering a thousand questions, and being screened for half a dozen social problems at the hospital, then having to figure out where to go for follow up care.

    Capstone Medical Urgent Care
The receptionist was nice, although she kept checking her facebook status as I was checking in. The nurse actually made me a bit nervous because she was asking me how to spell words when typing my medical history. Additionally, the nurse tried two different machines to get my blood pressure reading and was unable to. She called in another nurse, who told me "yeah, she isn't that great at getting blood pressures." When the doctor came in, he was cold and indifferent. He ran a lab test and when he came back basically told me I had a viral cold and it would take anywhere from 7-10 days to be gone and me feel better. I asked him if I was contagious and he said, "Yeah, it is a virus." He then instructed me to get plenty of rest and fluids. HOWEVER, even though he said I was contagious and was running a fever, he refused to give me an excuse for work. He said, "You're an adult, you know how to cover your mouth when you cough. Talk to you boss about medical leave, that is why they have it. I don't have any medical reason to take you off work." Four days later, my job is FURIOUS. I took the max number of sick days from work without a doctors note. However, I am still running a fever and feel horrible (red and white patches still in throat). However, I have to show up to work SICK or get written up. My boss and coworkers are mad because I will probably infect the whole department. The doctor ordered rest, but all he gave me was a mess to deal and a huge headache.
