ARenewal by Andersen of AlaskaFrom the moment of setting up an appointment to having the work done, all was accomplished in a professional, knowledgeable and friendly way. I had four windows (big) and outside door done the first round starting with Jesse and Bobby, and two windows the second round, Brian, Jacob and Tyrone. Everyone from start to finish, including the ones in office setting up the appointments and job times, were excellent. They answered any questions I had and made sure everything met with my approval. And they do an excellent job of clean-up! I will definitely recommend this company and have more windows for them to work on in the future. I must add that this is a '60s log house and they made sure that the outside integrity of the home was not compromised by putting in the windows; they worked within the existing frames on the outside (other than the two egress windows I had to have, but they are on the backside of the house).- Kristine N.

AJensen ConstructionAs usual with Dave, the only problem was catching him at a time when he was not fully booked with other people's projects. When I could schedule him, he was here as promised and completed the job quickly and meticulously. Also, as usual, he fixed a completely different problem he had noticed in passing, without any charge or hassle, I think simply because something that isn't write irritates his sense of perfection. I have used Dave and his eponymous son repeatedly, and will have no problem using them for any and all projects I have in the future. They are worth waiting for.- Mike S.

AJensen ConstructionDave And David do extremely beautiful work. They always gives me better than I imagined possible. My new fireplace is lovely. The bathroom is gorgeous. (Dave met me at Lowe’s to pick out everything for the bathroom). They built a custom shelf to utilize the 4” behind the pantry door - they used darling beadboard for the back of the shelf. It’s unbelievably cute. I can’t recommend Jensen Construction enough.- Elaine K.

AI am disabled and needed a ramp. This is Alaska. Winter is coming. I envisioned a ramp covered in snow and ice. A cover would be necessary, since also my ability to remove snow from the car was compromised. I needed a carport. Jayme Phillips is one of those incredible finds. He takes care to solve all problems from the beginning. He works to check and recheck so that as the project goes up everything fits amazingly. The two others who live here also wanted covered parking, so the carport grew from an accommodation for one to an accommodation for three. Because the land is uneven, High Level Construction virtually leveled the base on sono tubes mid air. It is perfection. As the structure rose, All things fit together exceptionally well. The work is solid and now that we've used the carport, it is amazing and meets our needs to perfection! I will use this contractor again, in fact when the painter and gutter installer are finished, he'll return to spread gravel/pit run under the carport to level the surface. Jayme Phillips isn't just a contractor, he's one you'd hope to find and delivers far beyond what you'd expect. Finished product is beautiful. And when he's finished the work is neat and the trash is bagged up. Exceptional!

AGreat. Josh had the old one demo'd and hauled off in no time. There was a slight delay with material, but it didn't impact the delivery of the job. I would've like to have gotten started earlier in the summer, but it is an awesome, yet simple, built to code, place for us to relax.

DThe deck foundation is great. The stairs to the deck are great. The decking boards are spaced so close together that they didn't drain. It's taken fall, winter, and summer for the boards to shrink enough to drain water. The bench seats are about 4" too high, as even a 6-foot man's toes barely touch the deck. The seats are not deep enough, as they cut you off at the knees when sitting and dangling your feet because of the height. The support boards are not faced for ease of snow shoveling. The bench backs are too high and not angled back enough for comfort. The 2x6 bench beams have split where they are screwed to the floor. Chad Staats said he would fix the seats last October (2018), and I waited on this review until he fixed the problem. It's now 8 months later (August 2019), Chad still is "too busy" to fit me in, and in fact doesn't even answer my emails, so I have to find a contractor that really knows what they are doing to fix this problem, at a considerable cost to me. Apparently, this was his first deck with benches. No, I would not hire Perfection Home Repairs, Chad Staats, again, unless he had evidence of previous experience in what I was hiring him for.

AFrom the bid process, to selection of products, to installation were all quick. Product color sheets were swapped via email. A discussion of color combination options were done via telephone because the color of the house and the color of the roof vary significantly so I wanted to make the most informed decision to allow the gutter and covers to blend into the line of the house. And finally the removal of old gutters and installation of new was quick and professional. Overall, an outstanding job and I couldn't be happier. You might be able to get a little lower price someplace else, but do you want to do it again any sooner than necessary? Thanks ABC. T.Dee
