He always says a day it would be done and then it wouldn't be. When I picked up the snow blower it was not fixed, more damaged than when I dropped it off. He has a hot temper. He doesn't put a physical address, he just shows his map. He has all of the snow blowers out and pictures in his ad on craigslist. He even used my snow blower in his ad. I would definitely not recommend him for anything. He didn't do anything that he claimed he would do. UPDATE: The provider did right thing and sent back twice the amount of money they charged me.  They sent back $200.

Staff was friendly and helpful, did what they said they would and charged a fair price to repair the snow blower.

    BILL'S SAW & MOWER REPAIR
BILL'S SAW AND MOWER REPAIR IS VERY BUSY. I HAD TO GET THE MOWER FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND THEY WERE SWAMPED. THEY TOOK MY MOWER IN AND GOT IT BACK TO ME THAT VERY SAME DAY. I COULDN'T EXPRESS MY APPRECIATION ENOUGH.

John is AWESOME to work with. He gets busy like all other successful businesses, but he gets the job done. He's always treated me right.

I've taken numerous items to him over the years for repairs.   I've had him sharpen blades on mowers, chains for chain saws, repair both push and riding mowers, perform maintenance on my equipment all well below what similar companies charge.   I've also bought parts from him attempting to buy the manufactures parts only to correctly find out from him that he carries the same parts and they are used by numerous manufacturers.   Afterwards I've looked up the cost of parts on the internet and found that I paid the same or less minus the shipping costs. This guy knows his stuff.

The tractor was picked up, repaired and returned in a timely fashion.  The broken part was replaced and the tractor given a good tune-up.

This guys loves small engines and especially lawn mowers, he has hundreds around.  He will repair your lawn mower or small engine in a jiffy.  They ALWAYS change the oil and sharpen the blade and clean the machine  - this is part of the basic service.  Their prices are extremely reasonable and I would recommend these guys to anyone - if you have not found Eagle River Small Engine Repair yet I would highly recommend you start calling to get your lawn mower serviced.

I have an old Craftsman Snowblower which I took in to have an electrical starter installed and a tune-up last summer about this time of year (July/August).  I had the snowblower back in a week.  I did not attempt to use the machine until later that winter after the first snowfall.  The electrical starter worked fine but the machine would not start due to a break in the fuel line.  As the machine is very heavy I had to wait until I could find someone to help me load it into my truck to haul back to the shop.  When I got it to the shop and explained what had happened they worked on it immediately, installing a new fuel line, and I had it back in a few hours at no charge.  Since my neighbor had plowed my driveway I did not attempt to use the machine until January when I got back from vacation.  Again the electrical starter worked fine but the machine was hard to start, ran rough and the engine kept dying.  Unfortunately there was no one around the rest of the winter to help load the machine into my truck so it remained idle the rest of the winter and I paid to have my driveway cleared a few times.  Last month I took the machine back to the shop and explained what had happened.  After a few days the machine was ready for pick-up.  The work done included fuel line and carburetor cleaning and a tune-up totalling approx. $104.  When I explained that I had paid for the tune-up last summer and that I had  actually used the machine only once this winter due to the fuel line leak, which they fixed, I felt that somehow they forgot to actually do the tune-up last year.  They conceded that it was a possibility and removed the charge for the tune-up.  Before leaving the shop I had them start the machine to make sure it was running good before hauling it back home.  The machine ran great.  After loading it in my truck however we noticed it was dripping fuel from around the carburetor, after working on it for a few minutes in the back of my truck they decided to take it back into the shop.  I had the machine back the next day, no additional charges.  Please keep in mind that this is a very old machine and my lesson learned is to "always" have the mechanic start the machine to make sure it is running good before taking it home.  The older the machine the more things can go wrong.  I do have to say I received great customer service from all the people I dealt with at Anchorage Small Engine Repair.  They listened to my concerns and acted on them.

I was happy with them. He does a lot of snow blowers and lawn mowers.  I was very pleased that he took the time to tell me how to do it. Most people just want to be paid to do it. He was very helpful. I went back to thank him later, because I thought he went above and beyond. He is the only shop in town that I am aware of. He is more conveniently located.

I called and the price seemed good. I checked their website for hours and drove out to Eagle River on Saturday when it said they'd be open. They weren't. I waited around for awhile, then went shopping and came back. There was still no one there, so I called and left a message on their answering machine explaining what happened. They never called me back so I did the work myself. When I talked to them originally, they were pleasant and I don't know how they might have done had they actually worked on my machine, so I'm giving them a C.
