    Wallace Homes
Excellent all around service and results. Wally spent considerable time thoroughly evaluating the extent of damage in order to accurately determine the costs of repair vs rebuild - which included onsite consultations with structural and geotechnical experts. Ultimately decided to rebuild. Wally incorporated multiple engineering improvements at the soil, foundation, and framing levels to ensure the new structure would be vastly more earthquake resistant than the original. His team/crews have proven excellent craftsmen and easy to work with - from the architect, to the excavator and framing and finishing crews, etc. I consider the result an ideal blend of craftsmanship and value. My house is medium sized (2400 sq ft) but Wally has also built some magnificent homes in my neighborhood that are much bigger and more complex. He can also handle extensive repairs, as he is doing for a neighbor of mine (also quake damaged), and therefore I'm certain he could do wonders with just regular renovations as well. During the entire process I always felt he was giving me his honest answers and thoughts.

    Spartan Contracting
Renovation went excellently. in addition to executing work, Spartan provided design recommendations. Spartan were available for questions, responded in a timely manner, and worked within our guidelines. The work was done well. The project costs and timelines were explained clearly and appropriate documentation was provided.

The old deck wrapped around an old tree. Mike Ferguson and I discussed the new deck options. He suggested a shorter, longer deck to avoid the tree. They drove the pilings for the new deck in the wrong place and built the deck anyway. I now have a deck with a railing breached by the tree. MCF Construction should be avoided by everybody!

What a headache to deal with byler construction. None of their timelines are correct. Had me schedule inspection with nothing complete, not hooked up to utilities, house had debris all over the inside, sink holes on the property from them burying trash/debris and downed trees all over property. Inside nothing is done with care... counters show seams all over, outlets stop working and dont reset, control boxes are laying on the ground in the crawlspace in standing water not supported and with conductors showing, none of the receptacles match the prints, conductors chafing on K.O. holes (horrible electricians, I am a commercial electrician and their work is unacceptable, electrician should be fired). They took numerous short cuts including leaving standing water in the crawl space, concrete walls are soaked that they covered up with insulation. Not only are they not wanting to fix their mistakes, they do not hold up to their end of the contract. They promise D1 gravel driveway with base layer and top layer and provided a dirt driveway calling it complete... same one a week earlier that had 8 inch ruts in from their trucks that they just compacted down again. They do not hold up their end of the agreement, not sure how they are still in business. They always want to "come back after closing" well like other reviews say... they won't come back and their handshake means nothing, or a contract for that matter when they cut corners and call things complete to save money. I gave them a chance even after seeing their horrible reviews and was a big mistake. Their good reviews come from friends and family or their selling agent for example ofcourse leaves a perfect review. Take your business elsewhere, these people are not trustworthy and do not make things right... probably the worst contractor in the valley. I understand mistakes happen but they will not fix them or abide by the contract and give you what's promised.

It took a little time for us to get together for est. But when it came to performing the work I had a lot of imperfection to over come but the work was excellent. Dave gave me a quote off the top of his head said it would be high end (over).Insure he went over but he only charged me what he quote.

We started with a kitchen remodel which morphed into a den, kitchen and downstairs bathroom.  Removing the original 1977 cabinetry and bringing the walls down to the studs and removing the kitchen linoleum and the den carpeting while we lived in the home is not an easy situation.  Telemark Construction worked well the Alaska Granite, Creative Kitchen, Wright Electric and all of the other subcontractors and their delivery/performance schedules.  Timing around running water was important.  The work was wonderfully executed and timely and they cleaned as they went.  Attention to detail was important and more than once our ideas were modified with much better ideas provided by Kjell Nordgaard.  If you can do anything but you can't do everything you need Kjell.  His approach and his employees kept on schedule, which is not any easy task when coordinator all the aspects of appliance deliveries, granite and cabinet installation.  His enthusiasm for our home was compelling.  This was the second time we have worked with Telemark Construction.  In 2009 he remodeled our upstairs bedrooms.  There is a cost in doing things right and an even greater cost in doing things wrong.  The right thing to do is to have someone who thoroughly understands the process be a part of your team.  Kjell worked with our budget, he did expand the scope AND THAT WAS BRILLIANT!!!

    August West Construction
This contractor and his crew have done work for me on quite a few projects since 2004. They have completed three full renovations of single family dwellings as well as a number of smaller projects (window replacements, interior & exterior painting, flooring, decks, etc). They have been timely, considerate, aware of the impact of construction upon neighbors and are reasonably priced. I have appreciated this contractor's consistent ability to estimate monetary cost as well as time cost.
