    Jay's Automotive
When I first moved to Anchorage (in 1999) and my vehicle battery died, I asked the expert at Alaska Battery if he could recommend a local mechanic. He told me, "I would never take my car anywhere but Jay's Auto." After more than 18 years of engaging Jay to help with our many vehicles, I still completely agree with this rousing endorsement. Jay is a certified expert mechanic for Mazda, has a wealth of expertise working with many vehicle types, has the highest standard of integrity, and is a pleasure to do business with. He has helped us evaluate, maintain, and repair our vehicles through the past two decades (Mercedes, Porsche, Toyota, Ford, Mazda, Subaru, and Bigfoot - including trucks, RV's, vans, SUV's, hybrids, sedans, and several convertibles). And, if a repair is outside his area of expertise, he knows who to send us to for excellent service. Jay has been unfailingly welcoming, kind, and honorable. His work is the highest quality, timely, and he has earned our trust for guidance on when and what maintenance or repairs are needed. He accommodates our schedules, minimizes costs, and occasionally reminds us about tire switches and routine maintenance - which is much appreciated. It is always a pleasure to have work done through Jay’s Auto. We know our vehicles will be safe. That the work will be done right. Quickly. At a reasonable cost. With genuine care. An auto repair experience just doesn’t get better than that.

    Northwest Automotive Inc
Took my car in with several problems and for routine oil change. Raoul diagnosed the problems and got me back on the road for a fair price. The service was great, didn't take long for all that was done, and Raoul checked in with me along the way to let me know what needed to be done, what costs to expect, and how long service would take. The car is in good shape now, and I'll definitely go back to Northwest Auto for future service.

    MARTY'S AUTO WORKS
Called on a Sunday, but then realized they were not open, so hung up after two rings.  Marty called back immediately and helped me out.  Arranged for a tow truck for my stranded Suburban, and had it back up an running Monday afternoon.  Fast, professional, and very customer service focused.  Will totally use them again.

Flat On The Spot Mobile Tire Service
I had no idea there was a company that would come to you to do a tire changeover! Costs about the same so why on earth would you go to a tire place and wait in line? They were prompt, professional and affordable. Absolutely going to call them from now on for tire changeovers.

    MOTORCYCLE SHOP INC
The Motorcycle Shop's new location on Old Seward is a new facility that is topnotch.  The service department is impressive the moment you walk in.  Chris, the service manager assured me that although they do not sell Yamaha's, his technician is certified to repair.  Clean, crisp, respectful...I knew it was going to be a good experience the moment i walked in. They absolutely knocked this one out of the park.  Both bikes are better than new.  Start up and engine performance on both are extremely easy.  Cannot wait to get on these lies after break up.  Plus...they delivered them both back to my house free of charge.  This was an outstanding experience and they have earned my loyalty in the future.  After a poor experience with a Yamaha dealership, I tried this shop and am so happy that I did.  Great job!!!

    SPRUCE PARK AUTO BODY INC
My insurance company made an estimate. Spruce Park worked off of the estimate. There were some modifications to the damage assessment. This was all very straightforward. Their estimate for completing the job was 2 days shorter than the actual, which was not a problem for me. The repairs were well done.

    HALLS' AUTO BODY
Outstanding customer service! Halls accurately told us what they were going to do, how long the parts would take to get here and how long the work would take. Additionally we were updated by text message when our parts arrived and daily progress reports during the course of the repair. This is a business that definitely understands the value of customer service! I will definitely use them as my first choice for any future auto bodywork in the future.

    DIVERSIFIED TIRE
We have used Diversified Tire for years for tire changeovers, purchases, and repairs. They are always great to work with. My only mild complaint id that they are often too busy (good for them!) While I could probably get tires cheaper at Costco, I generally do not as I like the service, convenience of location, and supporting a local business. Over all good to work with, though this year I may choose another provider for tire changeover!

    Fix Auto Gambell
*** As a follow up worth mentioning, I have returned to Driven Auto twice in the last year and a year later to have them take care of a piece related to the work that was done originally. One was the bottom trim on the drivers door had lost its adhesion and the other was a touch up on a very small imperfection that I just couldn't live with. They gladly and quickly accepted the work free of charge and without question. I was in and out of the shop in under and hour on both occasions with the work completed to perfection. They were as courteous and professional as they were a year ago.*** The Initial inspection was made together with a Driven Auto representative on a walk around of the vehicle. The inspection was talked through in detail. He told me what pieces would need to be removed for proper replacement, what seals and decals would need to be replaced and what could be reused and the time involved in each process. After the walk through I had a clear idea of exactly what was going to be done from start to finish. The estimate was done on the spot within about 20 minutes. I had damage to both drivers and passenger side door panels and requested an estimate for both sides at around $3200. I took the estimate home to think it over and shop around. I did find a few shops that could beat the price, but the estimates were not as detailed and to tell you the truth, for whatever it's worth, I just got good vibes from Driven. They were not at all pushy. In fact they encouraged me to take the estimate home and think about it. Despite the higher price tag, I ended up going with Driven Auto because: 1. They showed respect for my time with a quick, yet detailed estimate and explanation. The receptionist was courteous and got me to the correct personnel quickly. 2. They promised a timeline for parts ordered and repair time. (Both of which were over estimated. The parts were to arrive within 14 days. They arrived in six. The labor was to take up to 5 days, it took two.) 3. The paperwork was completed quickly and with a detailed price breakdown. 4. They run a very clean shop. If I were to give any advice should you choose Driven Auto and would like to rent a car from the Enterprise rental that is onsite, do not wait to rent a car on the morning that you drop off your vehicle for repair. I walked 7 miles to work faster that it would have taken me to get a car that morning. I don't know it it was an unusually busy day, but there were approximately 10 people renting a car that morning and one attendant. I did not bother waiting. In the end, I was impressed at the efficiency, quality and no nonsense, respectable approach to the entire process. The finished product was practically flawless. I really did scrutinize the repair and found it difficult to find any imperfections even knowing exactly what they had replaced. It's been 4 months since the repairs were made and I still could not be happier. Also, the interior was cleaner when I picked it up than when I brought it in and the exterior as well. They even Armour All'ed the dash and vacuumed the cracker crums out of my children's car seats.
