    Gary was reliable, knowledgeable and efficient. Samsung sent him after my tv needed a new panel replacement (my tv was brand new so it was still under warranty). Gary looked at it and immediately recognized that I needed a new panel. He explained how the process will go and he communicated with Samsung himself. After a week or so, he received the panel and set up a time for the work. He even can outside his work hours to work around my work schedule to install my new panel. Overall, it was a great service. I would highly recommend GT electronics

    The Repair Technician was very prompt, professional and knowledgeable. He took great care with my television, which needed a new circuit board. Since I had a Sears Maintenance Agreement on the product this all was performed smoothly and at no cost to me. My television had developed a distorted picture so I called the maintenance center. The item was also still under the manufacturer's warranty and I had already had a negative repair visit from the warranty service that had been offered from one repair center, so it was wonderful to have things handled so smoothly and competently by Sears Repair. The Repair Technician, Rick Huggett, called before the appointment time to confirm when he was going to arrive. He arrived on time and was very professional and took time to determine what was happening to my TV. He did some extensive testing of the TV and showed me where the picture became distorted during a portion of the testing. He ordered a new circuit board. He scheduled a follow-up visit to install the new board when it arrived. When the new circuit board arrived, he was very considerate when he even  asked if it was alright with me if another repair tech could come with him to help to move the TV. When they arrived, they handled the product with the upmost care. After inserting the new circuit board, he did testing to make sure that the board was alright. I am highly impressed with the professionalism, the knowledge, and also the care that this technician took with my TV. I have not experienced another technician that was as thorough in the testing ability  and the knowledge about this type of TV. This will make me continue to purchase the Sears Maintenance Agreements on my products, as I have received such good care from Repair Technicians like him.

This will make me continue to purchase the Sears Maintenance Agreements on my products, as I have received such good care from Repair Technicians like him.

    I spoke with Gary at GT Electronics well over a month ago. At which time he sounded very confident and competent. During the original phone conversation he said the part I actually needed to repair my TV was on order and was do to arrive in a day or two. He said he he would call when it did. He never called. So several weeks later I called him thinking he might have misplaced my number or wrote it down incorrectly. Not the case. He did have my name and number written down correctly. He said there was a shipping error and the parts never arrived and he was waiting for the and quot;reshipmentand quot; to arrive again in a day or two. He again said he would call but never did. Several weeks later I called again and spoke with Gary. And still the parts have not arrived but should be here and quot;today.and quot; So I asked him to call me at the end of the day to verify if the parts did or did not arrive. He said yes yes certainly he would call. He still has not called. I called Sears today. A technician is supposed to call me in a day or two to schedule an appointment. I hope that technician's name is not Gary from GT Electronics or I may never get my TV repaired.

    During the entire ordeal, I became more and more frustrated with Comtronics, but it wasn't until it was all finished and I started to look back that I realized that this was a terrible experience as a whole and I will tell everyone to run the other way when considering using this company. Samsung dispatched Comtronics to do an "in home repair" of my television. When Comtronics first contacted me in regards to the dispatch, they first told me to bring my tv by their shop for them to look at it. I had to explain that it is a 46" tv and I cannot move it by myself and that the copy of the repair ticket I received also stated "in home repair". Glenn then agreed to come pick up my tv. When he arrived, he did not take off his shoes and was upset that my tv was still mounted (neither Samsung or Comtronics had ever stated that it needed to be unmounted when service arrived). Glenn and his assistant went ahead and removed my tv and took it away to their shop, never asking what was the issue with my tv or turning it on while still in my home to see the problem that I was having. At this point Glenn stated that it would be 1-2 days turn around time and that he would call me once he looked at it. Three working days after Comtronics picked up my tv, I called them to check in on the status of my tv. I was given an excuse and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I called again two days after the first call. Again, another excuse. Ten days after my tv was first picked up from my home, Glenn finally called me to ask what was wrong with my tv and said he was starting to look at it. Two days following, I hear back that they can bring my tv to me. In coordinating the return delivery with a secretary, I was informed that a part had been replaced. Upon the actual delivery, my tv was taken out of the back of an exposed pick up bed with the outside air temperature being below freezing. Once inside and looking at the unit, there were numerous scratches and marks on my previously mint condition tv. I was told by Glenn that there was nothing wrong with my tv and it just might have been a loose wire and that all wires were disconnected and reconnected with no problem found. At this point Glenn noticed some of the scratches and then took WD-40 to the frame part of the tv and said that it buffs things out. I was confused by this and really would not have preferred that he do this. We plugged the tv in and it appeared to be working at the time. Within a week or so, my tv began to act up again and have the same issues it did prior to Comtronics "servicing" it. From all the other run around, the ambiguity of things during phone conversations, and the attitudes that were presented, I honestly feel that my tv was not even touched. The way they conducted themselves created a terrible experience for me and resulted in my complete lack of confidence and poor attitude toward Comtronics. Even if they truly did not find an issue themselves, I did end up having to contact Samsung again to have another repair ticket issued for the problem re-presenting itself. After having a different company order specific parts and come into my home and repair my tv in less than an hour right in front of me, I have only become more disgusted with my experience with Comtronics.

    I had an issue with my Samsung TV, and Comtronics, being an authorized repair was given my ticket. The work to my TV and the Service call was supposed to be free of charge. When Comtronics called to get the information, I was informed that it would cost me a minimum of $129.95 for them to come to my house and to repair my TV. That is about $129.95 more than Samsung said it would cost. I called Samsung back, they in turn contacted Comtronics, and ended up reassigning my problem to another authorized repair service. GT Electronics did a terrific job repairing my TV, and that is who I would recommend for these services.
