FGlacier Point Services (formerly Stack Company)I called three months ago to have an expansion tank and zone switches replaced on my boiler. They did not bring out any parts in order to repair. So they come out a second time to do the job. Was it fixed? No, zone switch failed and they left the water off for the basement. Third time they came out they admitted the expansion tank was bad, finally, replaced it, added some glycol to further run up the bill. And now again we are without heat. No problems with furnace for 6+ years until GPS came out and since it has been nothing but problems. Stupidly tried a fourth time to get them to come fix it, but the receptionist was rude and not wanting business. So, I give up. Do not give these folks your business, you will be sorry. Go somewhere else.- Doug C.

DRocky's Heating ServiceThe rate for the tune-up was $422, and I had a coupon for $25 off. The tune-up was supposed to take 1.5 hours. Instead, it took 2.5 hours, with no listed issues. So they charged me an extra $162 for that hour. When I asked about it, the guy said that he usually works slower. I asked, "So, if I get a faster guy by luck of the draw, I get to pay less?" He said yes. A service should be a service. Flat rate, not based on how fast the guy goes.- Rhonda P.

ATimo's Air Conditioning and Heating Incit was and what it would it would cost to fix I told them to go ahead and repair it they returned the next morning and my wife haqd air by noon, and they deducted the service call from the first time, I would highly recommed them to any one, the first two I called all the did was write an invoice and fixed nothing. AAltrol Heating Cooling & PlumbingGreat. The guy was very forthright, punctual, and assured me that my house was not the messiest he'd seen. While he was here, I had him look at my freezers and we made arrangements for him to work on those. He had to order parts for my washer, and said for me to keep my old washer and dryer for as long as I could get replacement parts...which I appreciated. Once the parts arrived he was back and got everything working again.- Carla W.

They provided a bid using a high-efficiency furnace, as requested. The work was completed in a single day, rather than the two days that were planned. AAire Serv of North Star BoroughThe technician was very professional. Due to the issues that were found during the service the owner also came out to look and give advice. We appreciated their recommendations & experience. The boiler room was left much cleaner than before they arrived. Best of all, I was pleasantly surprised at how low the bill was given the parts and amount of time the technician put into it. That's a first for this type of work! AStew's Heating Service LLCWonderful. From the start of the flood to when the whole thing was finished it took 9 days! I couldn't believe what a good, efficient job they did. Contrast 9 days to fix my flood with my parents' home flood and it's been 3 years since and there is still remnants of flood damage. Note: the price here is Stew's work, not the total tab for the restoration company. If your house floods even in winter, do not panic, just act quickly. We called and the fellow responded promptly, with all the tools and parts needed to have the furnace running again in under an hour. FThis is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts.

FThey told me it was a covered repair and to get the work done and submit invoice and they would reimburse us. We got it done and submitted the invoice. After 3 months of constant follow up they covered part of the parts charge and none of the labor. Then, following up again, they responded with, WE ARE CLOSING THE BUSINESS.

AHe is excellent. He is a one man show and he does a great job. There are sometimes that I call him and he comes out that same day.
He charged me for the fan and the service charge. He used a refurbished fan. He tries to save me money when he can. It was a lot better than the one I had.
He is absolutely excellent. I think the price is reasonable. I think that $75 is a reasonable amount to come out and check things out.
I will continue to use him. He comes out once a year to service my whole house system. He changes my big air filter that I have in the attic. He can clean the filter. He is very good about that and does not charge me for things that I don't need. He is a very good guy. I have recommended him to several people.Reviewed by Diane D.
