    The Alaska Wood Shop
Michael is working with us to build a birch dining table. I was hoping from the onset that my husband and I would be able to hand-pick the birch slab pieces ourselves, though I worried that may be an overreach. Not only did Michael give us a wonderful deal on the birch table and exactly to our specifications, but he also let us go through virtually every wood slab he had to pick our own pieces. It was such a wonderful experience! We spent an hour and a half at his shop going over every detail of the process. Michael thoroughly explained how he built the table, from cutting the slabs down, to putting them together, sanding, filling, etc. He left a lot of the design decisions to us - which slabs pieces would be the sides edges, which side of the plank we wanted, the finish (matte, semi-gloss, gloss), etc. He also advised us on pieces that he did not feel were up to standard - planks with cracks or large pits - so we felt like we were really getting the best product available. He described his working process in a way that assured me he's a meticulous, experienced and honest business owner. As a person who has worked in architecture for 13 years, this experience for me was very professional and satisfying. I got a big hand in the design process and have the utmost faith in Michael to provide all our furniture needs. I highly recommend Michael and the Alaska wood shop.

    Allens Professional Moving Services
I was thoroughly impressed by Larry and his crew. They were professional, efficient, very safety conscious, personable and knowledgeable. They moved my upright piano with ease from our old house to our new one. The speed at which they worked was truly astounding considering the utmost care they treated my piano with. These guys know what they are doing and they do it exceedingly well. I have already recommended them to my friends and family. I would not hesitate to use them again.

    LUGO'S UPHOLSTERY
He said they could pick them up in half an hour and have them done on Friday. They showed up on time , very friendly and professional , quickly had them loaded up. He called Thursday afternoon said they were done and could deliver them in 15 minutes . They showed up exactly 15 min later and the bill was $ 400 as quoted. If it hadn't happened to us we would not of believed it - UNBELIEVABLE service , would definitely highly recommend them . Very very impressed.

Pressed On Time Delivery Service & Moving Co
We would definitely use Pressed for Time again. We needed to move in stages, and this was not a problem at all. Raul came out to our house, assessed the amount of furniture we needed moved, and provided us a quote. The quote was basically $135 per hour for three guys. Raul told us that if we wanted to save money, we needed to dismantle the beds ourselves. He also suggested that we buy plastic mattress covers from U-Haul to protect our mattresses. The team of movers showed up on time or earlier, and worked solidly. These guys are strong! We were so impressed with the items they hefted and carried over their shoulders into the house. Nothing was damaged in the move - this included a glass china hutch, bedroom mirrors, and antique furniture. The guys were very friendly, happy to place furniture in the house wherever we wanted it (we changed our minds a few times), personable and had a good attitude. Great work ethic too! All in all, they were very professional. Again, we would not hesitate to recommend Pressed for Time.

    The Alaska Wood Shop
So very impressed with the finished product!  I provided details on what I wanted, met to go over specifics, and two weeks later I have a beautiful, sturdy dog crate for my living room that doubles as a coffee/end table.  Have received many, many compliments on it and my pup just LOVES it!  (Which is, of course, the most important thing).

    ALASKA WOODCRAFTERS
This is the only store in Anchorage that sells General Finishes line of products. The owners are very knowledgeable about the products but if they don'w know they will find out for you. They have different lines of unfinished furniture that they can finish for you or you can do yourself. They also have many neat home decor products and milk paint.

Pressed On Time Delivery Service & Moving Co
They asked for a change of time of about two hours. We replied okay and they took off $20 on the final charge. They arrived with 3 young, very stout men who had the piano (approx 350-400#) out of our living room, down two sets of stairs and out to their truck in about 30 minutes. They had all the equipment they needed, worked as a practiced team and caused no damage to walls, railing, piano, etc. They did a very good job and certainly have earned the tip we paid. In contrast, we first called 1-800-got-____! they showed up with 2 scrawny kids who took one look at our piano and bailed and charged us a show fee!

    The Windmill Furniture Restoration
He was excellent. I last used them in March. I gouged my oak desk, and they did a wonderful job. He came to our home office, he did the repairs quickly, and efficiently. You couldn't even find where the gouge was after he was done. He was a real artist.
