    Tutoring and Individual Learning Svc
We original tried Sylvan learning.  After spend more that $6,000. we them we learned that they could not help a dyslexia child.  We were referred to Bo from another tutor who had no opening.  My son worked with Bo for over a year.  He is now reading at grade level!!

    Sylvan Learning Center
We started Sylvan learning in May 2013. We are still trying to get my oldest daughter in a position to get through Algebra 1 basics to replace her poor grade from her freshman year. I purchased 60 hours to get through some basic math skills found on the initial $175.00 assessment. Since she started the program we are working to get her grade changed out with the school district so she will earn the replacement grade for her Algebra. The cost for the first 60 hours which I thought would be enough to get her grade changed was just under $4K. I was recently told that my daughter was progressing slowly and that I would probably need to pay for another 120 hour to finish out through May 14. The cost was another $7K. This is for one grade change. Sylvan isn't for the middle to lower income. The staff are very nice every time I deal with them, but correspondence by e-mail is very poor. Responses can take days and sometimes messages left also take days to get a reply. I feel like I'm being strung along and the results for the cash paid out isn't worth the valued return.   Overall I'd suggest figuring out what your needs are and what you want before entering their program, because I'm basically stuck in the middle of an $11,000 (roughly) Nightmare for one grade.  PS: My masters degree 10 classes cost me $11,000. Value isn't very good.
