Excellent. Still recovering. Had to call her twice in the night postop due to pain, no problem.

I went in January and March I had two separate surgeries. There was good follow-up care and they made follow-up phone calls. They are pretty open to any concerns; I can call them up 24 hours a day. I was pretty happy with them. Everyone seems pretty knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. I think that they should feel pretty confident that they are in good hands.

The surgery was a success and everyone has been impressed with how good my ankle looks. Before the surgery Dr. Kern called and spend several minutes answering all of my questions that I had and continues to do so after the surgery. The post-op appointments have been really great and informative for all the questions that I come up with between appointments. The healing has been great and nearly pain-free. I'm very happy that Dr. Kern took the time to diagnos my ankle and was able to treat it in such a timely manner.

    Jansma, Dr. Jennifer R.
I called for an appointment and there was a cancelation and so I was taken the same day. The staff was helpful and very friendly. They explained over the phone I would have to pay the bill up front and they would send the bill into Medicare. I was in the waiting room about 10 minutes filling out paper work as a new patient. I was shown into a treatment room and Dr. Jansma was right in, within 3-5 minutes to see me. She looked at both my big toes and said the left was fine but that she was not sure it is was a fungus or a tramitized nail on the right toe nail. She clipped back the nail as far as she could. It did not hurt in the least. Then she advised to apply Vicks to the nail to soften and kill the fungus if there was an infection. She asked if I had any question and I told here she had covered all the information I had wanted. I was in and out in less than a half hour. I was very please with the dignosis and although it will take several months to see if the treatment works or not, it was good to hear that I had nothing to worry about and if not taken care in a year or gotten worse to come right back in. Also to call if I had any other questions or concerns after I left the office.

It is very tough to get an appointment but they are very good. It is a military facility that is usually manned by active duty military. Emergencies and active duty members come first so the wait can be long.

Dr Jennifer Jansma was so personable, like a big sister. She took plenty of time to answer questions and explain the procedure.

    Swayman, Dr. Kenneth C.
I had never sought a second opinion from a doctor before, but decided that this time it was warranted. I went to Angie's list a picked the doctor at the top of the list - Dr. Swayman. When I called, I was told that he was booked up between then and the time of my scheduled surgery. I asked to be put on his cancellation list. Two days later I got a call and went to see Swayman that afternoon. What a nice experience. He was very professional (and non-judgmental concerning the other doctor). He explained his diagnosis in terms that I could understand. He made it clear that he did not believe that I needed surgery at all and outlined a course of treatment that I could self manage with follow-up appointments to judge progress. He had ideas for other treatments that could augment my efforts if need be. It was a very good experience. Dr. Swayman is now my podiatrist!

I had a complex foot surgery on 12/12 and am still in the healing process. The X-rays taken on 1/10 looked great. The true test will be time, when I start walking. The doctor and staff have been very professional, they have addressed all concerns, and have kept me in the loop with respect to what to expect. I did not address cost as my insurance covered the surgery and I am unsure what the total bill will be. When I was immediate post-op they did an excellent job controlling my pain (best pain control I have ever had after a surgery). If you have to have foot surgery this is the place to go.
