    Alaska Regional Hospital
They were particularly competent in providing the surgery services and also seemed very thorough and caring in the way they conducted themselves and worked with the patient. I will use them again in the future.

    Providence Hospital
Staff and facilities were first rate. I had the best care. I would recommend there obstetrics, labor and delivery, and Mother Baby unit to everyone who is having a baby in Anchorage.

    Costco
They actually fill our animal's prescriptions there. We get our cat's thyroid medicine from them. They are very quick and efficient. They are very thorough with your medication. They go over everything with. The pharmacist is available if you have any questions.

    MAT-Su Regional Medical Office Building
After being admitted which happened very quickly by about noon. I  had x-rays and a cat scan done within about an hour or so of being admitted. The surgeon came in and told me that I had an intestinal blockage that usually don't self correct. He wanted to perform surgery on my intestines and correct the problem. I was in surgery by 4pm that same afternoon and within hours recovering. I had a prolonged stay due to a nasty virus that they found later that was the probable root cause of the blockage. After 10 days in the hospital I can say they are an excellent hospital. Everyone was very caring and friendly. They attended to my every need. I would definitely use this hospital in the advent I needed it. I felt very comfortable and safe there. They were very professional and knowledgable in their areas of medicine in my opinion.

    Alaska Regional Hospital
Staff on the Orthopedic Unit was consistently kind and caring. I did very well and am back to work 6 weeks later. My call light was answered prompty, the room was quiet and I had very little pain. I plan to have my other knee done by the end of the year and will not go anywhere else.

    Providence Hospital
Thru my in-hospital referrals from the attending physician, Dr.Mandy R Garnett and Pulmonary Rehabilitation technicians and therapists, I have established a patient-doctor relationship with Anchorage Pulmonology Associates, specifically Dr. Marek Martynowiez. These doctors, in collaboration with my Internist, Dr. Michelle Rotolf, have adjusted my maintenance medications for better results based, in part, on prescribed Pulmonary Function tests, participation in regular Pulmonary Rehabilitation sessions, (twice weekly, 18 weeks that includes open lesson education and monitored physical activity, i.e. weights and endurance exercise, stretches) and a very comprehensive intake with Dr. Martynowiez. It remains for me to continue the prescribed regimen. Although I have no interest to repeat the above described crisis intervention and emergent care, should my situation change dangerously I could not get to Providence Hospital quickly enough. At no time during my Providence experiences have I been treated as a lesser person because I have COPD, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. I can also report that throughout this experience I and my family and visiting friends received respect and the comraderie of equals. n

    Providence Hospital
Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage's U-Med District has taken some lumps in past reviews.  That is not my experience whatsoever.  I had obstructive colon cancer. My surgeon used the Providence Alaska Medical Center's high-tech DaVinci surgical robot to remove the tumor and resection my bowel. The advantage of this method is that the incisions are smaller, there is less blood loss, and recovery times are shorter. My surgeon, Dr. Kerrie Bossard, Alaska Colorectal Surgery PC, and her crew did an excellent job on the surgery. On the recovery floor, the nursing staff treated me like a family member who was sick. The RN's, LPN's, and housekeeping staff were magnificent.  Recently Providence was evaluated and upgraded to a Level II Trauma Center. It's one of the finest medical facilities in the State of Alaska.  If you need to go to a hospital in Alaska, Providence is a great choice.  And I have never been treated better from beginning to end of my surgical experience.

    Family Pharmacy
Family Pharmacy is not only great to have as a local business but is often quicker in response, more thorough in research and information and more proactive than any other pharmacy that we have dealt with in Alaska. All of the staff work together, consult each other and we trust their services and support. They know all of our family needs through our business with them and handle any issues with insurance or physician contacts very efficiently. We have never had inaccurate information and have had numerous occasions where the guidance has helped us as well as our physicians.

    Alpine Urgent Care
I had this cyst go bad when I was on vacation and by the time I got home it was huge and painful, and I had a fever. Alpine Urgent Care is open until 9pm every day, which was very helpful because I finally realized I needed to have this thing dealt with on a Sunday evening, kind of late. This was a wound that had to be packed, scraped out, packed again, and checked every few days for several weeks, so I had numerous follow-ups at Alpine. The office is nice, comfy, simple, and modern, and didn't have that icky doctor's office feel so many places have. The office is first come, first serve, so wait times vary, but in my many visits (10-12 maybe?) I was only unhappy with the wait once or twice when they were really busy. I was very happy with both doctors at Alpine -- Dr. Cummings is laid back and easy going, and Dr. Davis is more thorough and conservative. It was a nice combination to have both looking after my wound, because it was like a built in second opinion. Neither one was intrusive or pushy, and they both took care to make sure my wound healed properly. Overall, it was nice to go to a friendly place where you could get in, get fixed, and get out without a hassle, unlike running the gauntlet, answering a thousand questions, and being screened for half a dozen social problems at the hospital, then having to figure out where to go for follow up care.

    beacon occupational health
They are pretty good.  They are closer where I used to live.  They are pretty expensive; they are charging a lot because they are occupational so they work with bigger companies.
