    Dr. Eric Unruh
Eric is extraordinarily knowledgeable.  I have had varying levels of satisfaction with LCSW in the past, Eric is definitely a cut above the rest in his field!  My relationship with my daughter is so awesome now and it's all thanks to Eric.  I thought I knew what ADHD was before having sessions with Eric, but looking back all I really recognized was my daughters symptoms.  I now understand how my daughter processes information, her intentions and the reason for her frustration.  I can now help my daughter avoid most melt down, because I can easily see them coming.  Instead of being upset with her for what I used to think was an over reaction, I can now recognize situations that are overwhelming for her and help guide her easily through them.  I am my daughters best and biggest advocate.  I am now the one she immediately turns to when she feels herself getting upset, she knows I won't judge her and that I will calmly get her through the storm (and boy is that a good feeling).  Eric is very helpful when it come to dealing with schools and the people in them.  He lets you know what to expect, how to handle it, what to you don't lose your cool and get exact what you need from them (mainly understanding and cooperation!).  If I remember correctly Eric used to work for the public school system (as a social worker), before opening his own practice, so he is intimately familiar with public school issues.  Eric could seriously run seminars on how to deal with schools...IEP's...504's, general policies, difficult teachers, spec ed staff and principals with their stubborness.  He will go to school with you and be your child's expert advocate...he is so smart,  quick and professional, the schools don't know what hit them!  If you live in Eagle River, you are fortunate to have him in your backyard, if you live in Anchorage or the Valley...he is worth the drive!

It's hard to get people to see children under 13. He's excellent. He's very child focused and has a vision. He's really trying to do something different for children so that they don't have to be hospitalized. He really tries to put together comprehensive care. I only give him a B for availability because there have been some change in staffing.

They have a good mental health program. It's one-on-one. They do have marriage counselors. They help you get to the bottom of everything. They also have a great alcohol outpatient program. I've been going on 6 years of sobriety. I have recommended a lot of my friends, especially those who are Native American.

My overall experience with this provider is always good. I called to set an appt to see someone about a strange rash. I was able to get in to see someone the next day. Since my regular dr was busy, I saw their osteopath who was able to explain the type of rash as well as give me good treatment directions. She answered all my questions and I was very satisfied.

    Fuller Diagnostics, LLC
To begin, I scored Fuller Diagnostics slightly lower for availability because it can take quite a long time to get an appointment, particularly in the case of seeking a possible autism diagnosis. But if you're heading in that direction, then you're probably already aware of this. It takes as long as it takes. With that said, Kristi Fuller is one of those people that you just like immediately. She's petite and smiles easily, which makes her a hit with children. During my parts of the diagnostic process, however - I found her to be extremely knowledgeable, and thorough. She seemingly leaves no stone unturned with her lines of questioning, analyses, etc. My son's evaluation was actually completed over the course of three appointments - so while it may take you a while to get in, you can be sure that your child will receive a great deal of thought and attention. Their office is very nice, too! I preferred the downtown location with its wonderful views - but they brought all of their Dr. Seuss artwork to the new location. :)

    Providence Behavioral Medicine
The appointment started promptly after I arrived. I only sat in the waiting room for short time before being shown back to the Nurse's office. The nurse was compassionate and listened to my issues without being contrary. She listened to my needs and suggested alternative medications than those I was requesting. Her office was unstuffy and appropriately lit. I will definitely be going back.

I really like that he has a family oriented office; everything is for the children. He goes well beyond to make that the children have what they like. The office is very well organized, kept together and sanitized. He is wonderful and will stay with the children and get them talk to him. He is more of a friend to them to earn their trust. That is absolutely very hard. I have four kids that go see him. My children are extremely hard to get along with. My kids have fun whenever they go there and they ask to go visit him. His entire staff is wonderful and friendly. We never have to wait; the longest time that I have waited in the waiting room was like 10 minutes. It is not difficult to wait because they have so many toys to play with.

    Ellenson, Dr. Franklin E.
The check up went very fine and I'd say he is very personable and he seems to be concern about you and your health. He takes time to talk to you and the only problem I had with him is that, it just very hard to get an appointment with him but everything went well.

    Wolf, Dr. Aron
My experiences with Dr. Aron Wolf have been very good. He is very pleasant to deal with, very laid back and helpful. It is very comfortable for me to speak with him regarding personal issues. It can be hard to get an appointment do to availability of office hours he works but he does communicate that issue well if needs arise.
