  • Awful experience. Most unprofessional, untrustworthy business we’ve ever worked with. Showed up late, presented extremely limited design/construction options, extremely poor communication, required half of project cost up front, and finally made a huge mistake (intentionally placed wall in different location than planned) and refused to take any responsibility for it. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and compromise, but was actually yelled at, lied to, and patronized before we were forced to terminate. Waited months for an actual invoice, after calling/texting/emailing on a near weekly basis. Requested a refund for work not performed and damages caused, but was denied. Lost so much sleep over this...still flabbergasted at the complete lack of integrity and respect for their clients.

  • I contacted Dave in late July regarding replacing our exterior stairs and staining our wrap around deck after another contractor we had agreed to hire failed to do the job.  Although Dave was already booked for the summer and early fall he agreed to give us an estimate and see what he could do.  He gave us a quote on repairing the stairs but was unable to stain the deck that late in the season given his prior work commitments.  He gave us the name of another contractor he worked with that was willing to give us a quote on the deck.
Dave did a great job of communicating with us and keeping us informed as to when he could be expected to do the work.  His quote was very reasonable and although he encountered some rot problems on the deck, he and his crew put in the extra time and effort to address the additional work at a very reasonable additional charge.
Also, the person he recommended to stain our deck did an excellent job at a reasonable price.

  • James built me a custom shed to my specifications and requested details. James is very easy to work with, does excellent work, attention to detail, found a way to add a detail that I wanted, and painted it a number of times to make it perfect!
James is Korean and sometimes hard to understand, but we communicated very well. An awesome professional!

  • Jim from Alaskan Barns was very helpful on the phone answering questions regarding custom items like an extra door, windows and a steeper roof that the normal.  He was patient answering questions and making adjustments to the quote.  After we scheduled the installers were on time and they completed the work as planned.  His crew was clean and polite and left everything safe and organized at the end of the work day.
I'm been using the shed for a few weeks now and the quality of the doors and design is excellent.

  • I didn't have to do anything but pay the bill!! Dave ordered the lumber, tools, supplies and he came in and went to work.  It didn't take a lot as he was focused and wanted to get the job done.  I really do like his work as he knows what he is doing and does it efficiently!  I would recommend others to him and I have as his work is professional as well as he does it fast, efficient and is very detail oriented.  He goes beyond the call of duty, when he see's something that needs done he does it to beautify or rectify a situation!!  I like his work!!
Even if it cost a little extra, I don't mind paying as it looks much better!!

  • Hurried project claiming scheduling conflicts. Damage to plumbing fixture during excavation was repaired using parts from local supier. Supplier was never paid by contractor resulting in homeowner being billed and threats of collection. contractor returned as undeliverable

  • Squires was one of four companies we contacted for a bid on the demolition of our current detached garage (which is in poor condition) and the construction of a new one. Their representative was very curtious and seemed knowledgable and forthright. He gave us an honest assesment of the job and a ballpark estimate of the general costs of various job aspects, but could not provide a detailed estimate until they had architects and engineers plans. Their back of the envelope estimate was within the range of the other estimates. All of the estimates were considerably higher than we anticipated (about twice as much), so we opted to postpone this project for another time after securing financing. We have not had any work done at this point.

  • The only time they were on time is when they needed money. A lot of promises a lot of excuses. Partial work left my house a mess. Material that was delivered some of it was stolen back by Morgan construction. The work has been abandoned and me left losing thousands of dollars.
