Although this provider was timely with a response to my on-line query, when I returned his call to arrange an estimate, he said, "Well, do you want me to come and fix your fence?"  When I said I wanted to arrange an estimate, he said he would charge me $80. for an estimate.  I'm not sure why he thinks I would contract his services without knowing what the job will entail and the cost.  This does n...

This person came out promptly on our first encounter two months ago, looked over the job, showed me his license and proof of bond and said he would get back to me with a bid.  Two months later (waiting for the snow to melt a reasonable excuse but not used by him) I phoned him again asking for his bid as now the building season was upon us.  He was 'on vacation' as he was 'warn out plowing snow' but would get back to me asap.  A week later he calls to 'come out and see the site again'  He showed up in clothing that looked like he slept in them and rubber thongs.  He then looked over the entry I wanted enlarged, asked if my Husband was home and said he did not come 'prepared' and had no measuring tape or clip board!  I handed him a measuring tape (not good enough, a seamstress tape) and said he would come back.  At that point I told him not to bother. I would not consider calling this company again due to his unprofessionalism and throw back to the 50's!!!  It is, after all, my money and my house, too. Being female doesn't necessarly mean I'm stupid and don't know what I want to build or  even have the authority to do so.

Laborers were fine but did not complete the project. The owner was completely unprofessional and refused to fix and complete the work as well as did not provide an invoice or receipt for the work.
