    The unit was not cooling and when I called they set an appointment and arrived as stated. The technician was very friendly and not bothered by someone looking over their shoulder. It was determined that the Freon was practically gone, but leak checks could not find the leak. The technician charged the system and told me to call if anything happened in the near future. This was an approximately $400 service. After 5 days, the unit stopped cooling again. I called and had another service, this time the original technician arrived with assistance. The leak was determined to be in the condenser coil and would require replacement. An estimate of $800 was given, which was the labor charge with no anticipated charge for the Freon. The part was to be ordered and repairs conducted the following week after the parts arrived. On the day repairs were to be done, I called the shop around 10 as I was told this would be an all day job. The shop did not have an appointment for me nor was the part in. I asked to wait for a return call from the parts department with an anticipated date. I was rather disappointed at this time and was formulating this review in my head. The person from the parts department called 2 hours later and informed me that the required part was out at least two weeks, so I was told that the technician was on his way and another would be following with a new complete condenser unit. This unit was installed by the end of the day, meeting the original promised schedule. I was informed that the parts would be covered for the remainder of the 10 years, it would not restart but the original price estimate would be honored. The slip in the professionalism score has nothing to do with the way I was treated as I felt they did all they could to get my issues addressed, I deducted the point as they should have called to let me know of the delay so that the two hours I waited for the return call from the parts department would not have me fuming. All of the people working this job were very professional and did a great job getting us back in cool air once the total problem was know.

    This business doesn't stand behind their work. They were the HVAC contractor on my new home. The condensate pipe broke/came loose inside of the wall. It probably was not glued, which is what other contractors I consulted with have said. But they denied they were capable of an error. They admitted that the pipe is disconnected, they wanted to rip my walls open and "blame someone else" so they didn't have to fix it. Their own words. I had to give them 30 day certified notice of my intent to file a complaint with the contractors board. So - they then called me and demanded that I work with their contractor. They told me that the contractors board sent this person, and that the contractors board wouldn't be contacting me. I had not FILED the complaint yet, the contractors board didn't even know I had sent the notice. This was a blatant LIE! They were attempting to threaten and intimidate me and force me to agree to allow them to work further on my home. They told me this wasn't "their contractor" it was the contractors board representative, another lie. Their suggesting to ripping my interior walls open, was to remove my siding. Options they never suggested, because it would mean they had to take responsibility would have been, run a new line, or put in the condensate pump and put into an existing drain. They refused to even consider these options, because they would rather rip my walls open then come up with a logical solution. I've consulted with four other HVAC advisors on my options, and they all have said ripping walls or siding off is the last resort. Ralph and Nick at their company both had the same story of how the contractors board was making me allow their contractor to come in and open up my walls. I asked how the contractors board new of my complaint, they said that they had received a letter from the contractors board, complete lies, as the contractors board didn't know I existed. As i said, I had NOT filed the complaint yet. Other problems in my home Bruce created.... I have a unit in my ceiling, I was adamant that I didn't want it there,. they refused to put it anywhere else. The filter for the attic unit is over my stair case and I have to have a ladder on the stairs to change the filter. My A/C lines outdoors are not insulated, I have bare pipes and open electrical wiring. The ducting was supposed to be hung in the rafters it's not, and I now have a dropped ceiling in my basement, which I didn't want. My range hood was installed so that every time the wind blows it sounds like gun fire in my home. The vent flaps so badly in the wind it's horrible, I've made several requests for them to resolve this, they refuse. They also cut a huge slice into my kitchen cabinet when installing and didn't make any effort to repair it. My bid included a condensate pump, which had they installed this unit correctly and with the pump, I wouldn't have had a line in my wall break lose or come apart. The drain line that broke also drains ON TO my cement patio. They never installed the condensate pump which I paid for, so when there is an issue with the condensate drain line, the won't even fix it with installing the pump which I have already paid for. Rather than standing behind their own work they want to fight me every step of the way. There is a simple, logical fix for this, they won't take that route, they want to lie, blame, accuse, whatever it takes to deny responsibility for their own actions. If they do it this to one customer they will do it to others.

    They were here when they said they would be and installed my new unit quickly. They had to take down a decorative fence to get the new unit and its footprint in the proper place. They made sure to put it back up again (thank you!). My new unit is much more efficient than my last one. Thanks again, guys!

    They were great. They had to creative when they installed the gas line in this older house. They did it where it didn't impact the house and blended right in. The owner worked with me and got me the best price.

    They got out there and said the heat pump already had a sound filter on it so they didn't need to do anything. They didn't charge me for the service call. They had to order the sound filter special, they didn't charge me for the part or ordering the part either. Yes, I would use them again.

    1st visit they were suppose to be there at 2-5 so husband got off early to be home by 2 just incase. It was only appointment available. At 4:55 I call because office is closing and wanted to make sure someone was still coming. They said someone is still coming but is going to be late. (which I kind of understand, it was the beginning of summer and everyone was hot) Got another call at 8:00 pm saying they wouldn't be there until 9 and asking if that was too late. We had them still come. After adding refrigerant, He said I needed a leak check. So I called a few days later and explained that we needed a leak check and I needed to pay bill from visit. Lady on phone was very unprofessional and acted like she didn't even work there, but we got it handled and scheduled me for the next Thursday 8am-10. At 10:15, I call. They can't even find me on the schedule, but they promised me one of their guys (they put me on hold and called him) would take an earlier shift 6am-7 if that was okay with me. I said yes. So I got up earlier then I usually do and hung out outside to make sure they didn't wake the rest of the house and waited for them. 7am came and went so I called the office, no answer they do not open until 8. So sat around longer hoping they would show up, then at 8 called again. They assured me someone was on their way. He showed up at 9:15. Didn't bother to say anything, didn't knock on the door, nothing. I went out to the garage (which was open) because I thought I heard someone, and sure enough the guy was already up in my attic. When I saw him he did a head nod but was on the phone so didn't say anything....needless to say, they will not be fixing my leak....way better experience prior years.

    A few weeks ago, in June 2017, I was visiting Mom from out of town for three days and her relatively newly purchased condo was clearly not cooling well well with its old AC unit. Bruce Heating and Air Conditioning came in the same day I called them to see about repairing it. Unfortunately, they could not replace the ancient compressor because the machine wasn't even manufactured anymore. Even the AC's serial number was worn off due to weatherization. After the repairman left, I called Bruce right away to schedule an estimate on a new unit with a new gas furnace. Bruce met with us right away to provide an estimate on the entire system. I also called two other providers. One failed to email me a bid, which seemed unprofessional to me. The other was over the Bruce bid by a thousand. I sent Bruce Heating and Air Conditioning a payment and they got Mom on their install schedule in rapid order. In less than two weeks from my initial consult with Bruce's sales person, they had installed the AC and gas furnace on the Monday before July 4th. (This is their busy season! Amazing!) I am so relieved that Mom doesn't have to sweat it anymore, not that she complained once beforehand. But now with the new unit she is so thrilled, I'm glad we could do the right thing for Mom with the help of Bruce Heating and Air Conditioning. They were professional, courteous and great to work with, even for someone like me, who was doing this over a long distance. Thanks, Bruce Heating and A/C!

    I am familiar with the company, they do great service and they are relatively affordable with good products. The cost was about $50, approximately.?We paid the price for three years so it is hard to remember. They do home stuff and also contractor stuff. I was familiar with them from when I worked at another contractor. I was in charge of their contracts so I know them quite well. Their quality definitely meets my expectations. They respond immediately when I call; it is not a problem. Sometimes they even arrive before time, but it all works out good. They installed the heat pump system I have here now and I will continue to use them.

    We had a couple service calls for issues learning our new system that we were not charged for. Great service on top of great quality work. They listened to our heating/air challenges and personalized our air circulator to ensure comfort in all areas of our home. We won't call anyone else.

    We had BOB RHODES HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING come out and I was very disappointed. They quoted me $200 to $250 and charged me a thousand dollars.Very disappointed. They replaced stuff that need not to be replaced without asking if they could do that or should do that or I wanted them to do that so I'm very disappointed with Bob Rhodes Heating and Air. I got upset with the billing so I sent him a check for $400 and put "pay in full." They sent me the check back and turned me over to collections. So I got my attorney write a letter to collections saying this guy fucked me over so I haven't heard from him since and I haven't given him any more money. The collection agency said they were dropping this. All I needed done was a six-foot section of ductwork replaced. He replaced that and then he picked another 12-foot section, replaced that and charged a thousand dollars. He could've asked at any point in time and he didn't. He just replaced it and then he billed it. I was actually coordinating for my girlfriend I live with. She's 77. She's in a walker and has a cripple and he did that to her. I give him a D because the duct work's nice but the asshole that runs the show is just an evil person. They took a long time to get here.
