  • Dr Provider name locked. is very friendly, but doesn't really like to talk about the treatment.  He'd rather talk about the weather, sports, vacations etc.  As such, it is sometimes difficult to get him to focus on issues with the orthodontics.
Nevertheless, the braces worked out OK.  Teeth are not perfectly straight, but I suppose that never happens.  Price was amazingly cheap with my insurance.

  • Competent orthodontist but relies too heavily on very young and inexperienced personnel for routine adjustments and care.   During one appointment the young girl adjusting my braces grabbed the inside of my cheek with pliers - a very painful experience to say the least.  Dr Provider name locked. is sometimes late to arrive for early morning appointments which is very annoying if you are a working person needing to get to work on time.  Additionally during one appointment a screaming toddler was allowed to remain in the treatment room making for a very stressful experience as well as potentially leading to errors due to the choas and noise.  I had to leave without being seen due to all the commotion.  Although the course of treatment was successful I have chosen to get all follow up care with another provider due to many instances of unprofessional behavior.

  • My nighttime retainer finally started deteriorating after 26 years of wearing it. I no longer live where my original orthodontist works, so found Dr. Provider name locked. through Angie's List. I called for an appointment and described my needs. They set me up with an appointment the following week. They have a health history form on their Web site which you can print out and fill out at home, so that your initial checkin is very fast. The checkin is via a little computer screen in the lobby, but there's a friendly person right there to help. I think the computer is for convenience, not because they want to skimp on human interaction. When I showed up for my appointment, everyone was extremely friendly. I had brought a book to read in case I had to wait, but I don't think I ever got through more than half a page at a time. The only waits were while I was being checked in and while Dr. Provider name locked. was walking over from the other side of the building. I showed them my old retainer. They were impressed and said it was probably a record, since those things are only supposed to last a couple of years. The nurse showed me the kinds of retainers I could get, and their price. The clear ones were $175 and she thought she could get my insurance to cover half of the cost. They took a panoramic X-Provider name locked. as part of the new-patient process. This was super easy and fast; I got to see the results immediately. The nurse chatted with me about what she saw on the X-Provider name locked. ("look at how long your roots are on your canines! That's really good.") Then Dr. Provider name locked. came in. He was very friendly and welcoming. I mentioned that I'm going next week to see about getting an appliance for my snoring, and he told me that those often work as retainers. He said to call again after my snore appointment if I still needed a retainer, and he'd make me one. Otherwise, don't worry about it. There was no charge for the visit, everyone was friendly and helpful, there was no pressure, and there was no waiting. Just great overall. If my son ever needs braces, or if I end up needing a replacement retainer after all, I will definitely go back!
