  • I definitely recommend Dr. Alan Cross over at FIRST CHIROPRACTIC on Ina in Tucson (cross street is Old Father right next to Nico's Tacos). I am completely cured of an ongoing problem with my sacrum going out of alignment, a horrific pain in my right lower back that I had for 2 years. Dr. Cross gave me a free consultation and on my first appointment informed me my sacrum was rotated. I was surprised my old chiro never found that and Dr. Cross explained most chiros do not know how to adjust the sacrum. So he did a simple adjustment on my sacrum and he also did the ATLAS adjustment (this is the new therapy called "touchless chiropractic adjustment) and by the evening I felt fantastic!

  • I called Dr. Carlson's office prior to making an appointment to see if my Cigna insurance would cover the cost of the visit to lessen out of pocket expenses since I am on a budget. Alecia from Dr. Carlson's office called me back and told me that she provided all the billing codes to Cigna and that they would cover my hearing check and wax removal. I would be responsible for the $45 co-pay for the appointment. When I came in for my appointment I provided my paperwork and the receptionist asked me to pay just $45 for the co-pay, which I did with my credit card. At no point before the appointment or at the appointment was I told that I would be seeing 2 doctors versus one. I did not even know that the man testing my hearing was indeed a doctor. After the hearing test, I was taken to another examination room where I met with Dr. Carlson who explained the results of the test. Passed the test. I then receive a bill from Dr. Carlson's office stating that I owe another $45 dollars for a co-pay for Dr. Engelkes, who turns out was the man who conducted the hearing test. Emily in the billing office would not answer the question, "why was I not charged 2 co-pays at the appointment?" This is classic bait & switch. Dr. Carlson's practice and office is unscrupulous and deceptive. I will never return and will tell family, friends, and co-workers of my unfortunate experience.

  • As a new patient, I was very impressed by the staff, overall cleanliness, and general efficiency of the front office/phlebotomy tech, and care coordinator. However, be extremely cautious of the provider you select. One of the newest male doctors appears to have manic tendencies and rage issues. He makes no eye contact, is twitchy, generally treats patients like adversaries rather than partners in healthcare, and does not believe in answering simple questions without taking offense/irrational ranting and raving/hollering, and verbal accosting . I kid you not. I am the most laid-back person ever. I've dealt with dozens of medical professionals in my 60 years as an advocate for loved ones. We all have bad days, but this situation was far from a bad day. Initials are B.S.D. (The "D" for effectiveness of treatment is solely for this provider. I have no diseases or significant medical issues.)

  • BEWARE: In May 20017, he performed cataract surgery on my left eye. My first question at the next day follow up was: When will I get my sight back? Had no vision for over 3 weeks, so no longer trusted him. I got 2 consults from other surgeons to find the implanted lens was not correctly placed. They advised a PRK procedure, to laser my cornea (scary) to better fit the lens and was not covered by insurance (m/care or my supplemental), so I had to self pay. DON'T USE FOR CATARACT SURGERY.

  • Nurse practitioner Christopher Taylor prescribed a blood pressure medication that is **** ** the kidneys. When I developed signs of kidney problems, he refused to see me for an appointment and refused to perform the standard safety lab tests needed to check my kidney function. I had to go elsewhere and pay out of pocket. The lab results were abnormal, and the new doctor had to immediately stop the medication and manage my condition. NP Christopher Taylor also wrote a completely inaccurate prescription for compression stockings. The medical stockings are made in certain standard compressions (i.e. 30-40 mmHg). Taylor refused to order the standard compression and wrote the prescription for 35 mmHg stockings. Once again, I had to pay out of pocket for a different doctor to write the correct compression prescription.

  • I routinely see Dr. Taylor for my annual checkup and a 6 month follow-up between physicals. It is hard to imagine a better PCP. She is highly pro-active and attentive to the details of her patient's history and needs. She listens and explains carefully and truly makes you feel like you are on a "Wellness" team with her as your expert coach. Her staff is excellent and her referrals to specialists are top quality.

  • He comes in, and spends a lot of time with me. He asks me how I am doing, and lets me know how I have progressed. He is not your average doctor, and spends time with you. He shows that he cares. The staff is very happy, and on time as well. I have some limited mobility, and they are always there to get the door. He has been my Doctor ever since I have been in Tuscon (4 years now). I used to be a nurse in the past, and can be pretty critical towards doctors but I have always had a good experience here.

  • He performed arthroscopic surgery on my right knee and trimmed a complete meniscus tear, as well as evened out the edges around a 13 mm hole in the back of my knee cap. I can walk without pain, and have already done 4 hikes since the surgery. I would highly recommend him. He is a joy!

  • Dr. Lemcke is a great doctor. She listened to your questions and concerns. She answers your questions honestly. She is available for urgent care appointments as well as annual visits. Her nurse returns messages from the triage desk in a timely manner.

  • I had complications from my procedure, including pain and some bleeding. The doctor (Favazza) was unavailable. Staff were rude and unhelpful. I could not schedule an emergency appointment. I could not see another doctor at their practice. He was not available by phone. They didi let me see a nurse, who was not helpful. I finally saw the doctor 3 weeks later, and he was very unhelpful. He said there's no problem, even though there is visible damage to my groin area, as well as lots of pain, and urgency in urinating. I still have pain 2 months later; I'm looking for another doctor to assess the situation. I would not recommend that anyone use Dr Favazza, or Urological Associates, under any circumstance.
