    Tolson Irrigation Specialists LLC
My experience with Harlow Gardens Tolson Irrigation was a very satisfying experience. I worked directly with Greg Tolson. My experience with Greg was to improve my existing fixtures and add new fixtures to my exterior low-voltage landscaping lighting. Greg was outstanding with his ingenuity and great professional attitude to make sure that every single detail was what I needed. There were some instances where he had to make multiple lighting adjustments with light bulbs and reconfiguring old fixtures as well as adding some fixtures to my existing system. He showed up at exactly the appointment times agreed to and managed his crew with great detail. He provided a contract explaining exactly what we discussed and agreed to do. I thought his fee was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Tolson Irrigation for landscape lighting. I could not be happier. Regards, Terry Snyder, Tucson AZ

The solutions proposed by the landscape designer were very creative. She was very responsive to our requests and ideas. We are very happy with the environment, smells and wildlife it attracts. However, over the course of the project the workers worked very slowly and the progress showed it (long and frequent breaks). We advised the foreman, but it didn't seem to make any difference. After the project was completed, we experienced some flooding in the back yard during monsoon rains because the drainage grade wasn't done properly. (This had never happened previously.) We called the owner to explain that the water was backing up toward the back entry and she refused to do anything about it, saying "oh, this is just normal after strong rains". Even after showing photos of the flooded area, she would not budge. There was also an issue with an ocotillo they planted that died within a few months. After requesting a replacement she said they never guarantee ocotillos. But there was nothing in our contract regarding that exception. Our rating is a mixed bag. Some of the employees are very responsive and professional. Others, not. The quality of the design and the outcome worked well for us. My advice is make sure the contract is explicit in what you want or be prepared to get stiffed.

Jonathan's design was just what I wanted and I could make adjustments. Installation team was quick and professional. Maintenance crew always asks if there is anything particular that needs attention and does more than just maintenance if I have plants that I need installed.

    Cutler Landscaping Inc.
Overall, we are very pleased with the final outcome. THE BAD: Cost is a little high and scheduling took a while due to very high demand for their services. THE GOOD: 1) Quality is very high 2) Very fast to complete, once work started (~8-9 days) 3) Veteran discount 4) Super helpful (we did our own demo to save money and Paul: loaned us temporary fencing, helped with tools, and loaned us trailers 5) Local family business that treated us with value We will use Owner/Operator Paul Cutler of Cutler Landscaping again. Our backyard looks like it came out of Home and Garden magazine. Everyone, at our annual holiday party, was blown away by our backyard. We competed the business with 5 different companies and Paul's price was roughly in the same ballpark, but the quality and personal attention was head and shoulders above the rest. We have the front yard next and I am not going to waist time competing the business this time. I am just going to Paul right away.

overall went well, and technician worked steadily and seemed to know what he was doing and pleasant. Overall seemed a little longer than anticipated. TechIdentified but did not have small part to fix light. Bill of $300 plus (labor and parts) seemed somewhat hight for job.

    All Terrain Landscape Creations Inc
An outstanding group of professionals, responsive, great listeners, and with a passion for excellence. As Dave, the owner, has told me more than once, "we're not cheap," and he's right, but having used another landscaper in the past with mediocre results, there's no question but that All Terrain consistently exceeds all expectations. I can't say enough good about the leadership team, Glen, Chris, and Gil. Hampered as are most landscapers in the area by the difficulty in finding quality help, they nonetheless dedicated three teams to completely transform our large backyard. They stripped everything out (and when I mentioned to Chris that I wanted to save a half dozen cacti, he immediately agreed and transplanted them to an area outside the fence. Then Gil and his band of magicians came in, sculpting the yard, putting in bricks in two circular areas outside the covered patio (they even brought in a surveyor to make sure it was built to have water run off into the desert behind us!), adding paving stones from the patio to the circular areas, and then adding incredible plants and boulders while rebuilding our irrigation system for the new plants. Somehow, Gil and his team finished in three days but never lost their attention to detail. When adding the paving stones, his worker continually used a level to make sure the stones were even with the patio and the brick circular area. When Gil replanted the cacti, he found the most wonderful areas for them. I had a number of aloes in pots, and they transplanted them into an aloe bed they'd designed under the picture window. No question, no extra cost. I could go on for ever. My wife and I are completely thrilled with the results; there's is ugly money you pour into a house and then there's good money. This was money well spent. The are absolutely our go-to company for landscaping.

He is not licensed, bonded and insured like he advertises. Check with ROC. Left our home in shambles!!! We are or tens of thousands of dollars. 90% of his work had to be torn down and redone. He has handyman skills at best, not qualified for the work he says he is. Beware!!!!!

My wife and I purchased a lovely home in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains just outside of Tucson in the spring of 2015. While the house and the property were exceptional, the landscaping was not. Last year we decided to do a complete makeover of the landscaping. We're natives of Virginia where I have been a multi-family housing developer for the past 35 years. I have extensive experience working with landscape architects and landscapers for large communities. However, at the time of the purchase of our new home I had little knowledge of and no experience with desert plant materials. To remake the landscaping of our new home, we needed both a designer and landscaper who knew plants of the Sonoran desert and xeriscaping. Also, we wanted to see a proven track record. After thoroughly researching both landscape designers and landscapers, we selected Shelley Abbott of Landscape Design West to prepare a landscape plan. We have previously reviewed her firm---highly recommended! Upon completion of the landscape plan, we interviewed and looked at the work of several landscaping firms. We decided that Foothills View Landscaping was best qualified to execute our plan. We could not have been more pleased with our selection. Gustavo Ibarra, owner of Foothills View Landscaping, was a real pleasure to work with. Gustavo is far more than a landscaper---hes truly an artist. He embraced the design for our property and complemented our designer in every respect. Gustavo has a large crew and is capable of doing large or small jobs. He and his crew worked at our property for a month and were totally professional in every respect. Gustavo and his crew leader did more than we ever expected to make sure we were 100% satisfied with the final product. We were ecstatic with the final product. Foothills View continues to maintain the property. Gustavo is an absolute gentleman and a man of his word. We're only in Tucson for five winter months but we can't wait to see how the landscape has matured. We're especially excited about the wildflower meadow that Shelly and Gustavo meticulously sowed by hand themselves. We strongly recommend Gustavo Ibarra and his company, Foothills View Landscaping, for any landscape work you may be considering. You cant do any better!
