Home Inspection reviews in Tucson

Because I lived out of state at the time, I put my entire trust in this company to make sure the home I wanted to purchase was safe, what repairs needed, etc. When I moved in, I couldn't figure out why the lights on one electrical circuit were flickering. I wondered why didn't the inspector catch this?
I had a friend come visit me in Provider name locked. to finally try to figure this out. He has extensive electrical experience. When he tested the light socket, the power went down 20%! He went to the electrical panel, which had been inspected by Provider name locked. Inspection and was said to be in good condition, and found one wire CHARRED!! When he stripped and cut the wire and put it back in the panel, no more flickering. You can even see in the inspection picture which wire was charred. I was not told about this. In fact, the report said the panel was in good shape.
Also, I had my friend replace all smoke detector batteries since I am physically unable to climb ladders and found that several of the smoke detectors were UNPLUGGED! Some even had the original batteries in them! Why weren't these tested at the inspection? That should be standard. How did my friend know the batteries were original? He was the superintendent with the builder of this home and they put in the batteries.
Also the GFCI plug in the garage was busted so that had to be replaced. Were these not tested either?
Basic things that should have been caught in the inspection were not. I am highly disappointed I spent so much money for a sub-par inspection.

Provider name locked. is great…this is our second year she has been monitoring our home. She is extremely efficient and responsible and her prices are very reasonable. We can rest easy when we are away from home knowing Provider name locked. is keeping a careful eye on everything.
She has a set fee for house checks and then bills for any additional services that are needed.

OMG It took him two hours because he was that thorough! He arrived right on time and after taking care of the preliminary paperwork he went right to work. My husband followed him around for most of the inspection while he pointed out things that he felt needed to be addressed and while he took pictures of everything. Provider name locked. didn't go up on the roof or down in the crawlspace with Provider name locked. because he said old guys just don't do young guy things like that if they are smart. I think he just didn't want to meet any creepy crawlies in the crawlspace. Provider name locked. told us what things needed to be taken care of right away and said that he would email us the results by the next day. True to his word by noon the next day we had an email copy of the results (all 42 pages!) including 25 colored photos showing where things were damaged and needed repairing.
We showed the report to the lady that takes care of the RV park where we have been renting this home and she was very impressed with the inspection report as were we. The owner is now in the process of fixing the roof, the air conditioner and the water main, which were the three major items that Provider name locked. had mentioned that needed repairing before we purchased. Provider name locked. has done some of the minor items and will do some other things that need fixing later in the fall.
What we really like is how Provider name locked. prioritizes the items that he thinks need to be addressed immediately and the items that he thinks can be done at a later time.
Once the repairs have been done we will ask Provider name locked. to come back and re-inspect the roof and air conditioner to make sure everything has been done to his satisfaction before we end up closing on the house.
Provider name locked. and I both couldn't be happier with the results that we received from Provider name locked. and feel confident that we will enjoy many years in our new home knowing that it received a good inspection and report from Provider name locked. .
