Foothills Dermatology & Facial Plastic Surgery
A friend of my mother's was tired of having people ask her if she felt well. She was in a demanding profession and felt she could benefit from a face lift. Dr. Olsen performed the surgery and she looked fantastic - not over done or 'stretched". She looked like herself, only refreshed. When I began to feel I looked tired all of the time, I consulted with Dr. Olson on a range of options. I chose to have a face lift and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. He described in detail how the surgery would be done, how much downtime would be required to heal properly and how many follow-up visits would be needed. Everything happened exactly as he said and I was thrilled with the results. I looked like myself, but better. There was never any pain involved; only two days I would characterize as slightly uncomfortable. Dr. Olson's office staff is professional, caring and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Olson to every woman who is looking for a great plastic surgeon whose personal aesthetics will help you identify the best procedures that will provide you with optimum results. Dr. Olson will not do anything he believes will detract from your appearance. If you are looking for a plastic surgeon who will grotesquely exaggerate your features, or stretch your face like a queen-sized fitted sheet on a king-sized mattress, you need to go elsewhere. If you looking for your best natural look, call Dr. Olson's office for a consultation. I have also visited Dr. Olson for fillers and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!

    Tracy Jeck MD
I had a questionable mole Dr. Jeck looked at under magnification and determined was non-cancerous. Although I hadn' ben really concerned, I felt relieved afterwards.
Dr. Jeck's has a positive, uplifting, confident demeanor and it was pleasant to talk with her. She was also patient and explained good skin care and protection.

My dermatologist is the best one in town. I have a skin condition and she was the only one who could help me. She's very conservative. I have clear skin and I don't look fake at all from the cosmetic dermatology. She's changed my life from looking awful because of my skin condition to looking good after her treatments. I also get botox for my migraines and it's really helped quite a bit. The office environment took awhile. The receptionists tend to be a little snooty, but I got past that with them. They're wonderful now.

    Specialists in Dermatology
I found the facility, staff and Dr Hu to be well above average. They did a thorough evaluation of the spots in question as well a a full body exam (and found a few more questionable spots). They biopsied several suspect areas. They told me what to expect and got the work completed quickly with a minimum of discomfort. I also receive several good recommendations for commercially available sunscreen. Based on my two visits Specialists in Dermatology and Dr Hu are my future choices for all things relating to Dermatology.

    Pima Dermatology
Dr Beal (young white male doctor) identified the issue immediately, gave me prescriptions and instructions for how to use the ointments and to return if was not better in 3 weeks. The treatment was effective but the issue returned a few weeks later so I thought I should go back for a recheck. Dr. Beal was not immediately available but the scheduler got me in with the nurse practitioner (Jeniifer Allison, young white female) who was great -- gave me a whole daily regime for getting the spots to fully heal along with some samples of non-rx products to use in the healing process. I followed the instructions (more or less) and they were quite effective. Went back for a re-check (with Dr. Beal -- he was initially not available but the schedulers put me on a cancelation list and called when a timely slot opened up). He seemed fully apprised of what Ms Allison had recommended. He gave me good information for dealing with possible recurrences, as well as the issues to keep in mind with the two different medicated ointments he had initially prescribed.

It's fine. I'll be returning there for the next six month's check up. They pay more attention to the aesthetics of what they do. In other words, when they remove something from a visual area on your face or neck, they think of the aesthetics of what they're doing and instead of going the old route in using a scalpel, I've taken a big whack out of the nitrogen and they use it well.

    Golberg, Dr. Gerald
I met with Lyza Byrne, Dr. Goldberg's Physician Assistant. She has been responsible for my 6 month check ups for several years.
She is clearly knowledgeable and skilled; she talks through the appointment, telling what she'll be doing and what she finds. During my recent appointment, she found a spot that could have been a basal cell carcinoma and told me that she would treat it as if it was the basal cell carcinoma and described the quick procedure. She said if the biopsy showed that it was cancer, we'd know it had already been taken care of, if not, no harm done.
Ms. Byrne is direct, friendly and skilled. She listens well, answers questions, makes suggestions and gives information. Because I know I can trust her to take care of any problems that come up, I look forward to my twice-a-year meetings with her.

    Scott Bangert MD
Our appointment ended up being with Dr. Bangert because our regular dermatologist was not available at the time. I have to say, I think Dr. Bangers ended up being a better fit for my son as he is a younger doctor and could relate more with his concerns. I have ended up making our next appointment with Dr. Bangert as well. He listens to my sons as well as my concerns. It really is appreciated to have a doctor listen and understand.

    Norman Levine, MD
I see Dr. Levine once a year, mostly because I have a lot of moles and I want a professional to keep an eye on them. Thus far, he's always agreed that they deserve watching, but none of them have been suspicious. Last year, we discussed a sebbhoreic keratosis that I had, and he advised that it was harmless. This year, I requested that he remove it because it was in an inconvenient spot. He did so via electrosurgery and curettage, which was quick and painless. However, I was not aware that there were other options for removal-- I found that out later, and I would have liked to have had the choice. Additionally, the healing process took considerably longer than he'd indicated, and my later research confirms that my experience is pretty normal. So I'd say that while Dr. Levine is a good dermatologist, his communication sometimes leaves something to be desired.
Other thoughts: This is a very busy office, and the waiting room is small, so it can get a bit crowded. Desk staff tends to be a little taciturn. They usually do an ok job at staying more or less on schedule, though. Also, be aware that this is a teaching environment, so you may see a resident in addition to Dr. Levine. They always ask if you're ok with that, so you have the option to refuse if you're uncomfortable.

    Silvis, Dr. Nancy G.
I was on a waiting list for this doctor who had been highly rated and was surprised to receive a call within a week. The office staff was friendly and very efficient. I had practically no wait. Dr. Silvis did a thorough exam and treated some problem spots, each time taking the time to explain what would happen and apologize in advance if it hurt WHICH IS DID NOT. She was extremely thorough and competent.....I felt very confident she caught everything necessary. Highly recommend.
