One of the worst experiences I've had with a counselor.  Lacks skills.   She has a very difficult time with
criticism.  She's close-minded if you offer a suggestion on how you'd like the session to go.  She?s forgetful and will ask something that was asked the previous week.  Annoying! Definitely a lack of chemistry between us.

Dr Barnes and his staff are very nice and professional. All different personalities that mix well. I've never waited more than 7 or 8 minutes for my appointment. I love Dr Barnes he is extremely caring and listens intently and offers me his views which are always insightful and usually right on target for me. He has helped me thru this past year which was especially rough because it began wit the loss if my son. I have nothing but praise for Dr Barnes and his staff. I also belong to a women's support group which is at the doctors location in Tucson blvd. Dr Barnes recommended I try it, and I have found it quite interesting and comforting. Have made several friends there as well.

Dr. Brunner was wonderful with our son. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He went through various ways of investigating just where the problems were coming from and communicated regularly with us as parents on his progress with our son and things for us to watch for and do to help. Dr Brunner was very patient in dealing with a very non-communicative teen. We were so glad our son had already been seeing Dr Brunner when he hit a real rough patch and became depressed. It helped him to have someone else trustworthy, beside his parents to talk to in confidence. Since seeing Dr Brunner, our son went back to making good grades, not letting others negatively affect him, and growing more confident every day. Dr Brunner also went to the trouble of becoming a provider for our insurance so we could use it instead of paying fully out of pocket.

Went to 4 visits. I did not feel confident in her quick diagnosis, nor did I develop a sense of trust. I felt vulnerable after the last visit and judged harshly for past behavior, which she insisted we talk about. This was not the primary reason I went for counseling, which was depression after the loss of my partner to cancer.

She is very gentle, sympathetic and encouraging. I find her to be a wonderful person to deal with a wounded soul. After two years of therapy with someone else compared to four months with her I have had tremendous progress, I am real fortunate to have found her.

She is an excellent listener, I never hear her pushing her own opinion on you, she will listen to you and reflect back on that. I know she never talks to my wife about me and to me about my wife. She is a very wise women. She has lots of years of experience. She is very active and engaged.

She is incredible. Sadly,. the does a better job of discussing overall body issues and all medical problems than does my primary care doctor.
This is not a 5 minute and quot;pill pusherand quot;. She spends an hour with me and goes over every aspect of my problems and things happening in my life with me each month. ]

She is a very warm and caring person.

Expensive, if she's not in your insurance network.

Therapy went very well. She is one of the best therapists I have seen. She helped me tremendously. I always enjoyed going to see her and was so easy to communicate with. She listens and asks good questions to help you.

I've had several appointments at the Center4 Stress Reduction, and consider it to be my safe haven. I've had nothing but the best experiences with the folks running, and working here. This is not your run-of-the mill place, this is, in my opinion, what most people are hoping for. The Psychiatrist, Dr. Barnes, is a wonderful and compassionate human being, who truly cares. I also work with an amazing life coach, Tamara, and attend her weekly women's group called, "WOW". All of the people at the center are extraordinary. I love them all. Kim

Overall, the visit went very well. I never really wanted to go see a therapist because there is a stigma about going to see one. Also, I had been to see other therapists before and it had never gone well. I felt like they did not know what they were talking about or they were just not very effective. I am good at rationalizing things in my own head. I can usually talk circles around the therapists, and whatever problems I did have, they would not fix it because I would talk in circles and they would just let me. When I started doing that with her though, she immediately called my attention to it. She told me that I was not getting at the root of the problem but was talking in circles around the issue and not facing it. She is more aware of things than the other therapists were. I like that she is very real but also very nice and sweet. She is not a jerk about it or anything. She is gently confrontational. If I need someone to confront me about something, then she is not going to put up with me, but at the same time she will be nice about it. There are a lot of people in my family that have gone to various therapists. Moreover, my mom is a therapist. When one of the parents is a therapist, the child is less likely to think that therapists know what they are talking about or that they can be helpful; it makes the child less trusting of therapists. A friend of mine had referred me to her, and I trusted that the friend would refer me to somebody good. It turned out well, and she has been very helpful and good. Her schedule is full, so the lack of availability is not really her fault. I would continue to use her in the future.
