One of the worst experiences I've had with a counselor.  Lacks skills.   She has a very difficult time with
criticism.  She's close-minded if you offer a suggestion on how you'd like the session to go.  She?s forgetful and will ask something that was asked the previous week.  Annoying! Definitely a lack of chemistry between us.

I went to the emergency room since I didn't have a primary care physician at the time. They determined it was a significant allergic reaction to the insect venom but nothing more dangerous and to treat it topically with over-the-counter medications. The doctor and other personnel were kind, respectful, and helpful even though it turned out to be much less than I feared.

All seemed fine.  The Dr. had a multiple page form he asked questions from that he hsaid was mandated by law.  While discussing my personal needs and current deep depression, I made it clear that I was spending hours per day crying and that I thought about suicide on a daily basis.  I said that a certain anti-depressant had worked in the past (and prescription had run out as I had moved to Tucson from out of state).  I also told him what hadn't worked for me.  After a painful hour, he said that he had the right to offer or refuse services to any patient and that he would NOT take me on as a patient - this after expressing suicidal thoughts.  He had no other doctor recommendations and suggested I show up to Southern AZ Mental Health ay 8 am (where homeless people get services).
I was stunned.  I thought and continue to think that his refusal to even take me on temporarily was unethical and dangerous to my health.  I ended up having to get my former PCP in my former state to fill one months of the proper anti-depressant and then flew to my former home state to see my psychiatrist there.  How clear does a person have to be that they are suicidal and in need of proper care from a good psychiatrist?

Dr Barnes and his staff are very nice and professional. All different personalities that mix well. I've never waited more than 7 or 8 minutes for my appointment. I love Dr Barnes he is extremely caring and listens intently and offers me his views which are always insightful and usually right on target for me. He has helped me thru this past year which was especially rough because it began wit the loss if my son. I have nothing but praise for Dr Barnes and his staff. I also belong to a women's support group which is at the doctors location in Tucson blvd. Dr Barnes recommended I try it, and I have found it quite interesting and comforting. Have made several friends there as well.

After years of almost daily migraines, many of doctors and neurologists, and numerous medications that were not working I was referred to see Dr. Sherman (through the VA) for a consultation for Botox to help with the migraines. I can't say enough about how wonderful he really is. He is very intelligent, very nice and has a great bedside manner. He has been working with me for about 2 years now and I can't tell you how much he has changed my life. The first round of injections I didn't get any relief. I had seen my regular resident neurologist in the meantime and she told me not to bother following back up with him since it didn't work. However, I did follow up with him and told him I didn't get any relief at all and he said that there was still hope :) He tweaked the dosage of the injections and within about 2 weeks I was migraine free. I went from 25 days or more of migraines and headaches to 1 or 2 a month. I couldn't believe it. I see him every 3 months and I can tell when it's time. He is so caring and compassionate. I never feel like I'm just another patient when I see him. He listens and takes the time to answer my questions and explain things to me. He addresses all of my concerns and never rushes me out of the office. I feel like he really does care, which I can't say about a lot of doctors. I completely trust him and feel that he really goes above and beyond when it comes to my care. I can honestly say he is one of a kind. He has changed my life and I hope that he never retires.

Fabulous.  She is marvelous.  After seeing two other neurologists who either chalked up the symptoms to psych or simply gave up, Dr. Henricks refuses to do either.   We are so lucky we found her.

Dr. Brunner was wonderful with our son. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He went through various ways of investigating just where the problems were coming from and communicated regularly with us as parents on his progress with our son and things for us to watch for and do to help. Dr Brunner was very patient in dealing with a very non-communicative teen. We were so glad our son had already been seeing Dr Brunner when he hit a real rough patch and became depressed. It helped him to have someone else trustworthy, beside his parents to talk to in confidence. Since seeing Dr Brunner, our son went back to making good grades, not letting others negatively affect him, and growing more confident every day. Dr Brunner also went to the trouble of becoming a provider for our insurance so we could use it instead of paying fully out of pocket.

Provider is very professional detail oriented. Goes over treatment plan in detail and is prompt with follow up. Takes the time to get pt history and tries a variety of health care options . Listens to patient concerns and engages patient in treatment plans.

Dr. Norton is a miracle worker. He explains things thoroughly and has been wonderful throughout my mother's treatment. She had to have one tumor removed, and it was much more difficult than anticipated. His expertise allowed her to come through the surgery with very few related issues.

I have been seeing Dr. Fox for almost a year now in group sessions. I also go to his monthly summer time retreats in which he gives seminars on different topics that we all have to deal with in our lives.
He is amazing. He is calm and clear in speech and treats everyone he encounters with the utmost respect and compassion. He is up to date on using the most effective and efficient methods of helping people deal with mental health issues without using medications.
Arizona has always been low on the totem pole of mental health care and psychologists like Dr. Fox are changing that. It is all about changing the way you think about things and applying daily practices to your life that will make you happy and whole again.
I have never talked with anyone who did not think that Dr. Fox is the BEST!
