Vacuum Cleaner reviews in Tampa

    A Sir Vac & Sew
I explained my shop vac had been used without a filter and the motor needed to be cleaned.
The staff was rude and annoyed when I requested an estimate for service.
I paid $75 for them to clean it and  there was still dirt falling out of it when I picked it up!
The man described how meticulously he worked and made excuses for what I saw.
I took it to another place who said that very little if anything had been done. The other place also took pictures of the filth inside the motor to show proof before they cleaned it.
    They charged about $25 less.
This happened  when I lived in Orlando about a year ago but I recently came across the receipt. It still makes me so angry I had to start an account to write a review.

    State Vacuum of Tampa
It is flawless! My wife loves it. They ran many feet of vacuum tube through our attic and down into our walls with three outlets inside the house and an additional hide-away hose in the laundry room. The installation only took a day -which was surprising considering the amount of work that needed to be done. They came right away and gave an on site bid!

    Electrolux (Aerus)
I contacted this service provider based on the "ELECTROLUX" name brand from the Angie's List contact information listing and discovered there were name brand issues with what I bought at SEARS. My unit purchased at SEARS was not serviceable under recent AERUS name rights to the ELECTROLUX name brand. Inquiries to the Angies List (North Dale Mabry listing) are referred to an AERUS area sales representative. Angie's List members will need to know that service to an "ELECTROLUX" vacuum cleaner purchased through discount retail outlets are probably not serviceable through AERUS. If a call is placed you will receive a message/visit stating such and a pitch to puchase another unit (high end price compared to your original purchase).  In summarry, the Caller will need to confirm with the AERUS representative "if" they have an actual/defined ELECTROLUX product (as defined by brand name rights).

    State Vacuum of Tampa
When we moved into our house the central vacuum was not operative. State Vacuum came out to give us a free estimate and suggestions on how to make the vacuum work best for our needs. We ordered the repair. They came out early in the day and installed the new parts of the system and did the repairs in a fast and timely manner. The service tech was polite and even showed me how to use the vacuum since I never was able to use it before.

    Bill & Pam's Vacuum & Small Appliances
The overall experience was pleasant and the owners friendly. My wife and I felt that we had made a good decision in choosing this company. The work was completed when promised. The shop is fairly small with a casual atmosphere. It appeared to be well stocked with supplies. During our two visits, there were a steady stream of customers coming and going.

We would certainly consider using their services again, even it meant a 20 mile drive.

Authorized Rainbow Vacuum Sales & Service
When I was in high school, one of our neighbors had a son who had a terrible allergy, and she had one of these vacuum cleaners to keep her carpet in good condition for her son. I was working for her for a while, and I started using her machine. It was about twelve or fifteen years old at that time and it still was working great, and her carpet which was white and about ten years old, looked brand new. She showed me how to use it, and every time I did, I was just astounded by how well it worked, and I could basically vacuum anything, and there is no dust kick-up because it puts the dust in water. When we first moved here, we went to a home show, and there was a promotion, offering a chance to get a free vacation for a demonstration. They came to my house to do the demo, I recognized the name of the company, and I found out that they don't sell their machines in malls or stores, the only way I could buy one was for them to come to my house and do a demonstration. Our house was the first house we had that was completely carpeted, and I was wondering how we were going to keep the carpeting clean. After they had done the demo, when we found out the price which was $1649, I realized that we couldn't afford it, but the lady who gave the demo told us that we could start doing demonstrations for them and that way we could work off the debt of the vacuum cleaner. So I started doing the demonstrations with a group of people who would go to these different events to get clients. The group was a family consisting of a married couple and their daughter, daughter in law and one other person, and they had other employees. They would screen the listings of the demonstrations which were coming up, and they would keep for themselves all those that were within close driving distance or those in affluent neighborhoods. All those that were in trailer parks, or those that absolutely didn't have the means to purchase these machines, they would give to us. I had to sell at least five machines to just qualify to get my machine. We would drive an hour or an hour and a half to the middle of nowhere, to people who had absolutely no possibility of buying a machine. It practically destroyed our vehicle because we had to go to these places where the roads were terrible, or where there were no roads at all. We had to replace our tires, replace the suspension, and it ended up costing us a little over $2000. They would do this to every new person coming in, because they knew that they would get new recruits every couple of weeks. People would just quit, and pay for the machines themselves somehow, because they didn't want to deal with the abuse. But we had to stick with it because we had no other means to pay for it at the time. My husband had autoimmune disease, and it was really, really hard on him. The people that are living in this area and representing that company are terrible. The other thing that I don't particularly like is that if I have a complaint about somebody that is selling for them, it's impossible to get hold of somebody from the parent company. We tried to get hold of the company to see if there was something we could do to get away from these people, but they were the only reps in the area, and there was no other way of contacting the company. I think they really need to update their service model. We have the complete warranty on the machine, but if I can't find a rep in my area to take it back or to deal with, then what should I do to get hold of the company? But the machine we have had now for the past six years is still working fantastically, and I wouldn't ever trade it in for anything. The only drawback of the machine other than the people that are representing the company, is that any fine grained powder can clog up the machine and it shuts down to protect the motor.

I have a 23 year old vacuum cleaner. They took it apart, cleaned it and it works like new. They were also very polite and prompt. I took it in on Tuesday and it was ready by Wednesday. I think they did a wonderful job. Its like new!

    Carrollwood Vacuums Unlimited
Simplicity is a lesser known vacuum manufacturer that is here in the US. The product is well made and continues to provide impressive performance through the years unlike most vacuums that need to be replaced every couple of years. Ron Levesque at Carrollwood Vacuums Unlimited has a tremendous amount of product knowledge that he shares and he assisted my wife and I in making the right choice. We decided to trade our 13 year old Simplicity in on a new model and we were pretty much already sold on another Simplicity but I was glad we stopped at Carrollwood Vacuums.

I own a cleaning company and for 8 years or so have always bought my used vacuums from them and use them for all my repairs and supplies. I recently bought an Oreck vacuum (like new but used) for $150. Orecks are the best as they only weight 8 lbs and last forever, Sam had several at this price. It is had to find clean used Orecks much less at this price, new they are about $400. For minor repairs they are done on the spot, more complex, over night. Sam is very honest and helpful. If you are looking for great service at the best price or a vacuum without spending a fortune, give Sam a call or drop by 8-5 M-F . You will be pleasantly surprised by old fashion service,& prices.

Jim has a good selection of various brands of used vacuums in very good shape at prices you can't beat. He also stocks many repair parts. HIs repairs are fast, honest, and at a price no store front can touch. I have found him and his wife plesant to do business with.
