  • I dont leave many reviews. In fact, unless the service is outstanding over the top or really really bad and I want to warn someone....I dont review much. In this case, service and repairs were outstanding. It is hard to find a good JS mechanic and I would highly recommend his services. No BS, quotes cost up front, even found a couple of other things wrong on the ski and didnt charge me.

  • I could not have asked for better service. He went over and above by coming back without charge after replacing the bearings on my trailer to evaluate the tires I bought, only to find the tires I bought on my own were defective (not completely round) which created a bumping feeling when I was pulling the trailer.

  • Outstanding Service and Workmanship! We received several estimates to have our 28ft Grady White seats cushions/bolsters recovered, our helm canvas fixed and cleaned, as well as add a bimini to the back for shade.  Seamore Canvas beat all other estimates but more importantly their workmanship was amazing.  Sammy, the owner, is a perfectionist and it showed.  They turned the boat around in 2 weeks which beat my expectations as I knew they had ALOT of work to do.  Additionally, the boat needed some other work that was out of scope for a canvas shop.  But Sammy had a network of people that could do the different things we needed and all of them did a great job as well. I feel like we have a brand new boat. Now my mom is using them to do the exterior awnings on her home.  We will be using them for many years to come.

  • The owner seems like a nice guy but relies on seemingly bad techs that could not figure out what was a matter with my engine.  The actually took the engine out, told me three or four different scenarios of what it might be.  In the end they could not fix it and I had to go somewhere else (Piper Marine down the road on Hillsborough Avenue) who fixed it in a few days (without taking the engine out).  The good news is they did not charge me anything but my boat was out for about 2-3 weeks with Nautical Marine.

  • I have a 17ft center console bay boat.  I've been a loyal customer of Action Marine for more than 2 years.  They've always done good work.  I've used them for multiple repairs some small some big.  I'd say over the past 2 years i dropped about 3k at action marine.  My only complaint is their timeliness and reliability.  On some occasions my boat would sit for weeks before they got to it.  They are off site a lot of the time working on other boats.  Last night was "the straw that broke the camels back".  I had arranged the day before to drop my boat off for some clutch work(again) and we agreed on 5pm.  i texted him 45mins before to verify he would be there.  he asked me if we could push the drop of to 6pm and i agreed.  at 6pm i pulled up there was nobody there which isn't rare.  i waited till 6:30pm and texted him again he said he would be there in half an hour.  at 7pm i texted him again because he hadn't shown up again.  he said he needed another half hour.  at 7:30pm i texted him one last time and he said he was on his way to the shop.  at 8pm after 2 hours of waiting i gave up and left.  i got a text at 9:15pm.  asking where i was.
I understand that a small boat like mine doesn't make these guys a lot of money. They work on HUGE yacht which is where the money is.  But I've ben a loyal customer for years all i ask for is a call or text saying "hey I'm not bona make it back to the shop tonight lets do it tomorrow".

  • Chuck and Patty are wonderful. They spent time over the phone and in person answering our questions on multiple occasions. We finally decided on a Moken 12.5 Angler kayak and are thrilled. They really have the customer's interest in mind and want their customers to be happy. We would highly recommend someone looking for a kayak or supplies visit their shop.

  • I took used boat to Jack's after I bought it for my annual service and to take a quick look over. They were very professional and got the job done on time for a good price. They gave me the special from the previous boat show even though I wasnt there and didnt have a coupon.
They were able to explain the little things that needed to be done and even outlined a few things that would probably need to be done in the future but were not urgent. Great service, i'll be taking my boat there again!

  • My brother, sister and I recently booked a trip with Graham to do the sunset kayak tour. I initially found their company through an online search and contacted the shop- Graham helped me make reservations and was very accommodating since we weren't exactly sure how many guests we would have. On the day of the trip we arrived a few minutes early and Graham was already set for the trip. He gave us detailed instructions on how to get to the marina and even took the time to show us the spot on our phones- just in case we lost each other in traffic. Once we got to the marina Graham gave each of us instructions on how to properly paddle and made sure that all the adjustments were made. Throughout the trip he continuously made sure that we were comfortable and that we were paddling at a good rate. Graham did a great job guiding us throughout the tour- he pointed out different birds, fish, plants, etc. We would definitely take this trip again.

  • The service was very good. He came to pick it up. We had an issue with the wave runner's battery being dead and he was really patient about waiting and helping us get it from point A to point B. He spent a lot of time and he was very good about it because we were wasting his time. He was a very nice man. He owns and operates the business. He will make pick up of the boat or jet ski, which was really important because we didn't have a trailer. He gave us a very good estimate and we appreciated his work.

  • When we had our boat serviced by this company and they did not water test it. When we got it back it was running hot. We hauled it all the way back to the company and they fixed a water pump and admitted that they overlooked it. When we got it back they had failed to water test it. (This may have been due to a misunderstanding on our part). When we called the owner's son, Donnie he was rude and disrepectful. He finally agreed to come to the Marina to save our having to haul the boat back. He replaced a thermstat and blamed us, saying we had gotten sand in the motor. This wasn't possible as we hadn't been able to use the boat. He charged us another 283.00 for the service call. When my husband called to discuss it and ask that an invoice be faxed so we could pay the bill Donnie lost his temper to the point that he was screaming and out of control. It was a very bad experience. They have been great in the past, but we understand the owner of the company, Don has been ill and Donnie is now in charge. Like so many Baby Boomers Don built a great company and now will have to watch his son destroy it. What a shame.
