Recent Review: Went well I had narrowed down the repair from either a door switch or the control board that had failed. I called letzs and they came out and tested to isolate it to the control panel that had shorted out. Very common repair with this type of appliance where the electronics are close to water vapor or steam can escape to. The part took a little time to arrive so the washer was down for about 10 days but once the part arrived they came over and replaced. Then it was discovered a thermal fuse had failed the tech called the shop and the part was delivered with in the hour. I was happy with the overall job and would not hesitate to call them again.

Recent Review: Kevin was very nice and gave me quotes on the spot for all the parts he deemed needed to fix all four appliances. After getting the quotes for parts and ASSUMING his labor charges would be reasonable (don't ever assume, ask) I authorized the ordering of the parts (total $616). Kevin came to my home on 3 separate occasions, once to check my appliances and order parts (less than 1 hr), next to fix my fridge/ice maker (less than 30 min) and finally one last time to fix the handle on my dishwasher (5min) the hinge on my dryer (10 min) and to fix my oven (about an hour). Expecting to receive a bill details parts costs and labor costs I was stunned to receive a very unprofessional "parts and labor" cost for all four appliances at a rate I was able to figure out since I knew the parts costs and I also knew the amount of time spent of $174 per hour..FOR JUST THE LABOR!! I immediately called Appliance Repair to discuss both the outrageous bill, and a few issues I was still having with the dryer (as in it was still the same as before the "fix") and at the time the door to the oven wasn't complete closing. I spoke with Kevin's wife aka secretary and expressed my concerns, she explained that they didn't charge based on a time and materials scale, that they just charged per job?? Upon my disgust she told me she'd relay my concerns about both the billl and the problems with the two appliances, and adjust the "service fee" (they charge to just come diagnose and order parts BEWARE) and have Kevin get back to me since he was the one I dealt with. NEVER HEARD BACK FROM ANYONE. The next month I was sent THE EXACT SAME BIILL....PLUS INTEREST! At that time I had my husband call and he left a message, and then subsequently called several additional times to no avail. In late October my mother who is an avid baker came to visit and bake with my kids, when she burnt her first pan of homemade cinnamon rolls, I immediately went to purchase thermostats to put in my ovens. We discovered that now instead of my oven cooking 50 degrees cooler than the temp setting on the oven which it was BEFORE Kevin came to "fix" it, now it was cooking 50 degrees hotter? Ugh, so we made several more attempts to call and never got a call back. Meanwhile Appliance repair continued to send bills with interest so we decided to withhold any payment until our concerns were acknowledged and addressed. They never were......stay away from this company!!

FWESTERN APPLIANCE & REFRIG
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! Our GE dishwasher broke and was under warranty so GE requested Western Appliance come fix it. The guy that showed up to fix it, who is also the owner, came in looked it, didn't even touch it, and said "I'm sorry but I can't help you so you will have to call someone else." Again not even looking at it. I asked him why and he said "They don't pay me enough to connect it or wait for you to connect the hose." I then explained GE was aware because it was flooding our kitchen. He then said, "put a towel down and call someone else cause I can't help you." All while not even looking under for the leak! I do not recommend this business to anyone as the owner was extremely rude and only cared about getting money not helping the customer. I hate to think what he would charge for the visit if it wasn't a warranty call.
