GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALIVE AND DOING WELL Do you remember a time when you actually got what you paid for and were pleasantly surprised when you got more than what you expected? AND didn?t get dinged in the process? I?m writing this review to let prospective customers know that I was pleasantly surprised with my Customer Service experience with Jordan Exteriors, and this being my second time using them, I?ve come to realize that great customer service still exists. Let?s start with the quote process. I called for a quote and Chris promptly came out and reviewed our siding options. He promised a quote that evening, and he delivered. We also got another quote and found that Chris was a little more competitive, but more importantly, had a better product (I asked for samples from both quoting companies). While my wife and I discussed our options (tear off cedar siding, leave cedar siding, etc.), we seemed to be a little stuck on color. We have 70?s style red brick on the front of our house and a burnt brown shingle roof, so picking a color that also blended well with the Summer Suede soffits, we had our work cut out for us. Chris was very patient when asked not once, not twice, but three separate times to provide larger color samples, he delivered without question. And when he didn?t have the samples, he called his supplier who delivered them to our house before I even came home from work. Did I mention that great customer service still exists? Well, we finally made a decision on color and to keep the old cedar siding and then promptly called Chris to find out when we could get started. The date was set and we patiently waited for Chris to call and confirm the date and time. Fast forward to the start date of our project and they showed up shortly before 7:30 and started setting up. I was home from work that day and wandered around the project site watching over my investment. Chris? lead siding guy, Arturo, asked me to confirm our decision to keep the cedar siding and to put the new siding over it. I said the only reason was the extra insulation I would gain by siding over the existing cedar. Arturo tore off some cedar pieces and showed me the difference with and without the cedar siding. I have to say that he was right ? it looked better without it, especially considering how it looked against the window frames. Chris sensed that I was concerned about losing the perceived R-value of the cedar siding and did some research after he left our house. He called me later that night to discuss what he?d found. Needless to say, I was gaining significantly more R-value going with the siding I chose and only losing .5 R-value in removing the cedar siding. Chris made the decision easy. Did I mention that great customer service still exists? Now the real work starts. Tear off the old cedar siding, wrap the house, add fan-fold insulation, and then put on the new siding. This was quite a production. We had several people stop in their cars to watch the crew work. It?s really satisfying when you have someone you can trust to carry your ideas through in one of the biggest investments you can make in your lifetime, and I trusted Chris with this task. And he doesn?t take this job lightly. When they got to the front of the house on the pent roof, we noticed that when we removed the cedar siding, there was a gap between the shingles and the wall. We also noticed the shoddy work the previous roofer did when trying to seal the gap. I asked Chris for his advice and he said he was on it. That was 10:30 in the morning. By 11:30 (the same morning), Chris had a roofer there to survey what was needed and shoot him a quote. What we needed was someone to remove the old roofing material, re-do the flashing, and install brand new shingles. Chris called me with the price and I approved the work. By the time I got home (about 1:30), there were two roofers there and they were almost done! By about 2:30, it was done and the work looked great! When it comes to fast, Jimmy Johns has nothing on Chris? Our house is done. And we?re very happy. I purposely left out some of the extra little things that Chris did for us because I don?t want to wrongly set expectations with new clients, but nonetheless, he knows what it takes to get new customers and keep those customers coming back. And, not that I need to mention it again, but great customer service still exists.
