O'Leary Plumbing & Heating Inc
Recent Review: Excellent quality and service. They do what they say and say what they do. We had several estimates and decided to go with O'Leary because of their reputation and how competitive they were in pricing. We had an unfinished basement that we were finishing and O'Leary plumbed the basement for a full bathroom, reconfigured the waterlines to accomodate the remodel and rerouted the water pipes for a mudroom/laundry room remodel. Everyone was responsive to our questions, flexible when we wanted to make changes and they stand by their work! We will always call O'leary for our plumbing needs.

Hurtis Heating & Air
Recent Review: We called every heating place in the area that we could find contact information for at the time. We asked each for an estimate. They all came to our house, looked at our existing equipment and then provided an estimate. Two of the contractors insisted on only installing systems that were not highly energy efficient, which was a feature very important to us. Others took a few days and in one case a week to send us a quote. Most were poorly dressed and unprofessional. Bruce from Hurtis actually sat down with us right away, asked what we wanted and made recommendations, providing us with a few different options. We put off the project for a while due to issues with financing. Bruce kept in contact every few weeks. The boiler we chose was our second choice. It was used for a year as a practice boiler for their repair workers to learn on. The heating element was replaced, so it was like new and offered at discount for 3700. As I understand, this is something they have one or two of once every few years, or whenever a new model they want to test comes out. We chose to get the water maker for 2000 rather than a cheap water heater as they last much longer and are more efficient. Bruce came by while the installation was going on to make sure everything was going as we wanted. He was a little slow to respond after the service, but returned my call immediately. Overall, he was very helpful and knowledgeable. They offered a Wells Fargo Home Improvements card that allowed us to finance 4300 for 15 months with no payments or interest. We were not hassled to pay the balance. We called a few days after the service to pay the rest.

MR HEAT
Recent Review: I was extremely satisfied with my experience with MR Heat. We were referred to them by a co-worker when we purchased our home. Their price was fair, the work was professionally done, and done on-time. We were so happy with our first experience that we used them a year later when we finished our basement. We couldn't be happier with MR Heat, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Experienced HVAC, LLC
Recent Review: We had a partial chimney inside our vacation home, that consisted of 24" X 30" cement blocks stacked about 20 feet high in the center of the house . The chimney was no longer functional and had been patched over on the roof. It sometimes emitted a sooty odor and made a perfect route for new HVAC ductwork to the second floor. Removal of this chimney was a bit above the call for many HVAC contractors, but Experienced Heating readily agreed to tackle it and accomplished the deed in a timely manner to include meticulously cleaning up.  Installation of the new AC unit, and its supporting ductwork went well and is working perfectly after several weeks. They bent over backwards to accomodate our wiishlist for register locations and even rerouted our LP gas lines and converted our new stove from Natural Gas to LP. I have used Experienced Heating for 2 furnace and one Central Air installations over the past 9 years, and have always been satisfied.

Reviews in Mayville to Repair Gas Line

DBelknap Plumbing & Heating & Cooling Co
I received an estimate for $150-$200 to move a gas line less than 10'. To reduce the cost of labor I chiseled away the concrete, removed the ceiling below and completely prepared the area for a quick install. The plumber showed up and immediately started telling hunting stories and trying to show anyone who would look the pictures on his phone. At one point I had to tell him to get to work. After wandering around for a while he told me he had to go to the van and get a couple tools. I noticed the van drive away, only to return 1 hour and 20 minutes later. Upon his return the plumber looked like he was high. When he got back to work he asked if he could use my tools. I told him he should have his own tools, as that is why he went to the van. He got upset and went for his own tools. He finished moving the line and pressure checked it. I informed him that the test must be done in the presence of a city code official per the requirements of my building permit and he said and quot;it doesn't matterand quot;. When I brought this up to the code office they informed me that Belknap plumbing failed to get a building permit and he had to call them to get them to comply. All in all the experience took 2 and a half hours with the plumber doing only 30 minutes worth of work. We didn't receive a bill for nearly four months and we were disappointed to see the total was nearly $600 (three times the estimated amount). When I called and talked to the owner he agreed it was some sort of mistake and our next statement would reflect the ACTUAL amount due. Two months later I get another bill for $600 which prompted me to call and talk to the owner again. Once again he agreed to send another statement reflecting the $200 maximum quote. Two months later I get another bill for $600. This has been repeating for the last year. I call him, explain myself, he never remembers our previous conversation. I have accused him several times of trying to rip me off and he states and quot;we don't do that hereand quot; I don't believe him. He wants me to have them come back and perform the pressure check in the presence of a code official and THEN we can come to an agreement on how much I should pay. I tell him each time we talk, and quot;I will not let you back in my house until I receive a statement that accurately represents the work done for the price agreed.and quot; he agrees to send a new statement each time only to send me one for $600. It is obvious they are trying to get one over on me. Beware of these guys, they are very unprofessional, and they will try and rip you off.
