SPA SHOP
Recent Review: We had called to get an estimate on moving a hot tub and base 1 block to our new home.  The quote was very high ($425) but we agreed because of time time required to move the base and spa, leveling, etc.  My husband gave specific instructions to call him first so he could meet him at the other house as there are other people living there now.  They did not call.  Instead they showed up at the other house and disturbed the occupants there.  (They later called to say that the driver was insulting and broke a new lawn ornament.)  They showed up with just the spa with no base indicating they never intended to move the base. When my husband and I attempted to discuss this rationally with the driver (who then identified himself as the owner - Jeremy Gill) - he focused on me and began calling me ignorant and stupid.  My husband informed him that he was not to talk to his wife that way but he ignored him and focused his anger on me.  After being repeatedly insulted, I said I was done with this discussion and turned to walk away.  He then yelled at me across the yard, "YOU'RE RETARDED!".  I have worked professionally with people with developmental disabilities for over 20 years and am personally offended on their behalf for the use of the "R" word in any context.  Using this word in order to effectively "curse" another person especially unacceptable.  People with disabilities are deserving of dignity and respect and this shows a lack of both. As for his customer service, clearly, it is non-existant.  Clearly someone in this type of business does not really care about repeat customers.  (They sell hot tubs - it is a one time deal.)  As for the value for the service  - moving just a hot tub 1 block and dumping it in a lawn is absolutely not worth $425.  (I have been told this could have been done for $100.)  He did not even move the cord but simply ripped it out of the hot tub and left it in the other lawn with exposed wires.  If you research this company, you will find that others have also complained about not getting what they expected or paid for.  When the spa shop responds to them, they do nothing to resolve the situation, but instead resort to name calling.  (In one case, he stated that the person filing the complaint was too stupid to own a spa.)  If I could give this company any grade lower than an F, I would.  I strongly recommend that you stay away from this business.

Recent Review: We called to have this company come service our hot tub.  Being told they were a Sundance authorized dealer and trained to work on our hot tub.  when we called, we were told they PRO-RATE the $65.00 per hour.  We thought of this as unusual, but twice, the girl on the phone quoted us "pro-rate."  So we had them come out to our tub.  We first woke up to a guy in the morning hours on our deck, which is off our bedroom that has our glass doors, looking into our bed, with us laying there.  Could he not knock on the front door?  But instead snooped into our back yard.  Strike one.  They he says looking at the tub, it may be a blown mother board.  $900 for the board.  we had snooped motherboards online earlier suspecting the problem, and they were only $400.  in the meantime, we found the website for Sundance and going through their site, found out they were NOT an authorized dealer for Sundance. They lied.  Then we get the bill for the 5 minutes trip-$137.15!!  for one hour.  Not even the $65.  Crooks, complete crooks

G & H ELECTRIC
Recent Review: I could imagine an electrician coming, diagnosing the problem, telling us we needed a new heater, and then not going ahead to actually fix the problem but telling us we needed to contact a spa company for that -- and charging us for that diagnostic visit. Howard, in part perhaps because he knows hot tubs quite well, fixed the problem. I was favorably impressed and wouldn't hesitate using him for future electrical problems or issues at our home.

SPA TEK SERVICE
Recent Review: This job was a disaster and I learned an important lesson about paying for service before the work has been tested to ensure it was done correctly. After I paid for the job and reported that the unit was still not operational, Jim has been totally unresponsive after nearly 20 phones calls over 3 months to the business and cell phone. I would not hire or recommend his service to anyone. Very disappointing.

FHansen's Pool & Spa
Bad, We called Hansen's on January 2,2017. Our hot tub is not working right. It is only 4 years old and we purchased it from Hansen's when they were located by Hillside hardware. Their technician (Casey) came over on Jan.6 and tells us we need to purchase a new pack which costs$ 701.00. They order the new pack and finally install it on January 24 at 10:45a.m. My husband calls him at 3:30p.m the same day because the hot tub is doing the same exact thing it was doing before they installed the$ 701.00 part. Casey says he will be over tomorrow to winterize it free of charge, which we find odd because they are closed on Wednesdays, but think maybe just the store is closed and the technician still works on Wednesdays. Nobody shows up or calls so we give them the benefit of the doubt and wait to see if they show up on Thursday. When I get home on Thursday there is a message from Casey telling us he can order a new pump for$ 450.00. WHAT? We decide we have had enough of their b.s. and call a competitor of theirs. Their technician comes over three days later and installs a $13.00 part in our pump and now our hot tub is working great. We went to Hansen's the next day to try and get some of our money back and Dave (I believe he may be the owner) told us he couldn't do that. We will never step foot in that store again and recommend you don't either!! Nice way to treat people who have been customers for over 10 years!

We purchased a "working" hot tub from this person through his company.  he advertised it as working, in excellent condition.  $2000 MORE later, we find out he lied about the entire thing.  The website and Company name they use and go under do not exist and is VERY fraudulent.  Beware, BEWARE!!!  his name is Douglas M Krueger, and his supposed wife, plays his game right along with him.

FAQUA-FUN POOLS INC
I MOVED TO THIS HOUSE IN SEPT. AND HIRED AQUA-FUN TO DO WORK ON MY HOT TUB SEVERAL TIMES. THEY DID A GREAT JOB. THEN IN FEBRUARY I GOT ON THEIR LIST TO RESTORE MY POOL. IT TOOK 4 MONTHS TO GET SOMEONE OUT HERE TO EVEN LOOK AT THE POOL AND THEY HANDED THE JOB OFF TO THE OWNER AS HE IS THE INGROUND POOL EXPERT. THIS IS WHERE THE REAL NIGHTMARE STARTED. THE OWNER WOULD NOT RETURN CALLS. IT TOOK 4 APPOINTMENTS TO ACTUALLY GET HIM OUT HERE TO LOOK AT THE POOL. WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO PICK OUT A LINER WITH HIM AT THE STORE, A TIME HE SET, AND WHEN WE GOT THERE HE WAS NOT THERE. NOW MONTHS LATER THE POOL MAY BE DONE IN A WEEK. SO FROM FEBRUARY WHEN I CALLED TO GET ON THEIR SCHEDULE UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST TO DO THE JOB, WITH LITTLE OR NO CONTACT FROM THE COMPANY OWNER I FEEL VERY FRUSTRATED. IF YOU NEED SERVICE FOR A HOT TUB THE COMPANY IS VERY GOOD. IF YOU NEED A NEW POOL OR MAJOR POOL WORK DONE, FIND ANOTHER COMPANY.

AG & H ELECTRIC
I really can't say enough good things about Howard's work.  He saw where I placed my TV and chair in the basement and realized that's were I wanted outlets and made it happen.  He was also speedy in diagnosing what the issues were with my previous garage's outlets.  It's hard for me to say what impresses me more -- his ability to quickly diagnose issues or his ability to speedily implement the solution.  Plus, he gave me tips and electrical advice the entire time he worked.   Believe me.  He's seen whatever residential electrical issues you have.  He knocked these jobs out in less than four hours and that included drive-time to Menards and two houses and I was talking to him the whole time.  Get him; you won't be disappointed.  He only asked for $320.00 for all his work.  I paid him $400.00 when the shock wore off.  He shows up on time and is both incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.  Thanks, Howard.
