Affordable Plumbing & Septic LLC
Recent Review: We cannot say enough about Jacek Wentland and his company, Affordable Plumbing and Septic. We had a dream of building a shower house, concrete block, with just shower and toilet facilities to compliment our camping on property we have in the Town of Fern, Wisconsin. Sounded simple to us but turned out to be more than we bargained for. We knew we wanted concrete block because of it’s durability and low maintenance. We interviewed countless contractors who indicated it would be “no problem” but never got back to us with a quote. Follow-up calls were ignored. Kleiman Pump and Well Drilling, the company that drilled our well, referred us to Jacek Wentland for the plumbing. Jacek came in and saved the project. He gave us invaluable information on all aspects of the building, answered our countless questions patiently and even stepped in with some of the finish carpentry. He was always available by phone and never failed to answer our voicemails. Working with his secretary Dolores was always a pleasant experience. The shower house would have never been completed without his help. His prices were fair and at the end of the project his office put together a folder with all our important papers, including permits, soil and water evaluation reports, owners manual for the pump, explanation of how the septic system works and maintenance information. He was extremely easy to work with, always keeping in mind what our plan was and how to keep costs down. He had good ideas for the layout, making the most of a very small space. We especially appreciated his flexibility - many of the contractors we interviewed tried to get us to change our plans to a conventional (wood) building. Jacek knew what we wanted and worked with us to get exactly that. With the economy so bad and people out of work, we were surprised at the indifference we encountered with some of the trades people we contacted. Apparently this job was not big enough for them. Jacek never made us feel this building was too small to be important. He worked with the excavator, carpenter and electrician and coordinated much of the project on his own, even filing the plans with Florence County. Since we live in the Milwaukee area and could only drive up occasionally, his assistance was invaluable. He kept us abreast of the progress and only charged us for the work he had completed. We are very happy with the results of his efforts and would highly recommend him for any plumbing job.

Whipple Plumbing
Recent Review: Arrived again on time & found a beautiful fixture at a decent price. He installed it and ended up being less than the $250-300 estimate we agreed to. A few days later discovered a light drip under the sink & called Whipple to report it. He came over right away (15-20min) and fixed the problem @ no charge. Been great since! Definitely keeping Whipple Plumbing as our GO TO plumber for any other future Plumbing needs.

As stated above, this was not the first time we hired DRS. Needless to say, I feel that going back to a certain company is the best compliment we can pay them. The two or three times we've hired them, they have been very punctual, courteous, professional and fair priced. And, we will certainly go back to them should we need other work done in the future. I very highly recommend them!!!!

DKenosha Plumbing
Pros: Office staff professional and had good communication. Technicians were punctual. Cons: Did not follow manufacturer instructions, job not completed, after 3 trips, would not work with us to solve the problem Hired to take out old faucet and install new one we purchased ourselves. My husband had installed a similar one in another bathroom but his job got busy and I decided to have the plumber do the other one so he didn’t have to worry about it. Called to schedule, was told that since we bought the faucet “the work would not be guaranteed” if something was wrong with the faucet (Red Flag #1) Faucet installed, a couple of days later I went to get something from under the sink and there was an absolute flood. My husband adjusted the new valves, but said the trap was also leaking and to call them back. Called to ask them to please come back, and before I could finish was told (again) that since we provided the faucet they would not guarantee the work (Red Flag #2) Plumber returned, changed a gasket and left before I could even try the water. Still leaking. Called again, different plumber came and said no plumber’s tape or putty had been used, so he reinstalled with that. Unfortunately it was still leaking in the same place. Trying to help resolve the matter, I called tech support of the manufacturer and described the problem. He said if the instructions were not followed (not using tape and putty) the product may have been damaged during the installation and offered to send us another one free of charge if we returned the other one. Called again, asked for a refund, was told no. Explained the situation, asked them to come back and remove faucet so I could get another one. Next day, got a call saying if they came and de-installed the faucet they would charge us more money (Last Straw). Happy Ending: Husband removed faucet. New faucet arrived and was installed by him (following mfr instructions) with no problems. If this company only wants to only install fixtures that you purchase through them, they should just make that a company policy. Very disappointed, until this we have always had a good experience. A++ to Home Depot and the manufacturer (Symmons) for their outstanding customer service in working with us to solve the problem.
