Recent Review: I called Roto-Rooter because there was a sewer backup into my house on April 9, 2016. I arranged to have a technician come out to clean out the sewer line. The technician arrived on April 10, 2016, cleaned out the sewer line of debris, and used a video camera to make sure the line was clean and found a section of the sewer pipe that was damaged. The technician provided an estimate for the excavation, removal and replacement of the damaged sewer line and details on what to expect. The technician also provided the information for Roto-Rooter to remove and clean that damaged area from the sewer backup. The lead for the cleanup team arrived on April 10, 2016, took pictures, and arranged for a team to remove the damaged portions of the house and clean the affected area. The cleanup team arrived latter and worked to remove the damaged flooring and completed this task and cleaned the floor on April 11, 2016. The excavation team arrived on April 12, 2016, dug the trench to get to the damaged pipe, removed and replaced the damaged section of sewer pipe, arranged for the city engineer to inspect the work to make sure the work was up to city code, added a new sewer clean out access point, and replaced any dirt that was removed. The excavation team placed pieces of plywood on the ground to protect the ground for when they replaced the dirt. Each person was knowledgeable about to expect and how the process works.

Recent Review: I found Dennis through Angie's list and his ratings were excellent. Thank you to other Angie's members for your reviews of this business so I was able to find and use it. Dennis came to my site within a day of me contacting him which I really appreciated because I was getting up to a deadline that the building was to start and it was in jeapardy if I didn't have the pad prepared. Dennis was able to work me into his schedule on short notice and get started right away. Dennis has many years experience in both excavating and concrete so that knowledge is valuable as he does the excavating work. Dennis trucked in the gravel needed with his own truck and was very efficient at it. In short, I would highly recommend Dennis. He's a straight shooter who says it like it is and knows his craft well. If you have excavating work that needs to be done he's the guy you want to have do it!

Bethel Excavating is extremely professional, honest, and is knowledgeable about his line of work. Our overall experience was extremely satisfying in every aspect. I would highly recommend having Bethel Excavating to anyone planning any excavating work to be done. I would not consider anyone else to excavate on my property.

CDELSART EXCAVATING LLC
Took 8 months. Roger refused to provide written or accurate verbal quote for job. Our initial request was to move existing stone in just one section of our property no more than $5k was what we wanted to spend. Roger convinced us we needed drainage around house. He couldn’t provide us with an estimate, so we said stay under $20k. He assured us he would. We were astounded when the job came to over $39k. Buyer beware! If he doesn’t provide in writing an estimate, do not believe what he verbally agrees with you. It took us over a year to get final bill. Also, his billing is not accurate. So track hours as best you can. He billed us for days and hours not worked.

The crew showed up on time and finished when they anticipated. They returned to finish as soon as the concrete crew were ready for back filling. They are a friendly crew and were a great reference source for do it yourselfers, making many pertinent suggestions.

ALAGEMAN LITE EXCAVATING
Ken Lageman does very high-quality work. He arrived slightly early to get all of of his equipment ready, and began work EXACTLY on time both days. He worked from 7 to 4 with only a short lunch break. He worked safely, quickly, and was able to demolish most of the concrete a short distance away from the house (to prevent flying concrete chips from breaking windows and such). He was even able to work around an RV parked on the grass just a short distance from the driveway. After putting down a layer of gravel, he graded it both with his Bobcat and with a hand-held machine. It packed down beautifully. Afterwards, he even swept the sidewalk and lip of the garage. I was very pleased!

Dale and his crew did a GREAT job. Dale came out, we talked through the project, he made a few suggestions and then took measurements for the job. Within a few days I had the quote via e-mail that detailed out the job. The work itself was very well done. Tree's were cleared, good timber was cut and stacked per our instructions, all brush was removed. Other than the pile of logs and the clearing, there were no other signs of the job being just done. Billing was accurate and timely. Professional, responsive great workmanship. Highly recommend.

marty swerkstrom did the excavating work including tree removal for a garage that I had built. He leveled the site and had fill brought in also. He returned after the garage was finished and leveled out the traprock I had delivered for my driveway. I would do business with him again.

He started digging, and left it a mud hole. It was supposed to be a service road that we could drive our trucks down and get to our property. It has been a horrible experience. They never finished the job. He asked for the money up front, and I thought he was a trustworthy person. I have called him numerous times, and he never answered. I called him from another person?s phone to trick him, and it worked. He answered and said he would finish the job and never did.

John excavated for and installed a 2000 gallon holding tank. He also did measurements for the tank relative to flood elevation. He gladly accepted the challenge of putting the tank in a tight spot (between trees) and did a great job not disturbing anything on-site that he did not need to. The job was done quickly and cost effectively. We had a great experience with Richlen, and would gladly use them again in the future.

DTrusty Trucking Inc
**2013** We used Trusty Trucking for putting in a new driveway at a house we are building. They excavated the area with a bulldozer and brought in all the stone and gravel needed for the driveway in just a few hours. They were very affordable and easy to schedule the work to be done and did a good job. **2014** We then hired Trusty Trucking to bring loads of sand out to level the ground and make a base for where the house is to be built. Understandably, due to a wet Spring season, conditions were not favorable and this took much longer than expected. When the area finally dried up and they were finally able to come out to the property, we scheduled 8 days in advance with Pat to have multiple dump trucks shuttling sand and a bulldozer with operator to spread it out. When Trusty Trucking arrived at our property they only had one dump truck to deliver 15 loads of sand (which would take at least all day if not longer) and no bulldozer operator to spread the sand out. My husband ended up having to run the bulldozer himself and was taken by a Trust Trucking employee to another dump truck so that he could help shuttle the sand as well. We need to get this work done because my husband works out of town for weeks at a time which is the only reason my husband is willing to do this himself. ww I am disgusted at the lack of professionalism displayed by this company. Trusty Trucking has been affordable, but I would never recommend their services to anyone in the future.

My husband and I had received several verbal recommendations from friends and neighbors about Joe's Excavating. Joe personally returned our calls, met us to discuss the scope of the project and performed the actual work. He and his team were punctual and very considerate of our neighbors. I was happy to see that they brought equipment that was properly scaled to our project and that they were also very careful, aware and gentle with the surrounding trees and vegetation that were to remain. Everyone on the project was courteous and very easy to work with. They were patient with our questions and were knowledgeable about plant species, topography, soil makeup and other considerations specific to the area. My husband and I are completely satisfied with every aspect of the completed work and will definitely be working with Joe when we break ground for our lake cabin. Highly recommend!
