Recent Review: I love my new roof! Jasmin went above and beyond helping me to pick out the right type and color shingles for my house. She personally drove me around the neighborhood and told me what type of shingle and color I was looking at so I could relate to what I was seeing when a shingle was on a roof versus trying to imagine what a small sample on a sample board would look like on a full roof. She even brought over loose shingles for three final types I was trying to decide on and laid them out in blocks on my lawn so I could see how the shingles looked in a large patch. And if that wasn't enough she personally drove with me to a wholesale shingle distributor so I could look at a large supply of shingles. She really understood that it was a big decision for me and I wanted to make sure that I would be happy with the end product. This company offered me the best overall price for my roof job which also included rain gutters and a cricket (which diverts water flow away from the chimney). The crew showed up and helped move things out of my garage so nothing would get broken during the process. They laid down plastic sheeting to collect the debris that would be falling. They cleaned up after the first layer of plywood was laid down.

Recent Review: Perfect. Mr Gibson did exactly what he said he would do, when he said it would be done, and without a single issue. His employees are the best that have done work at our home and the home has been entirely renovated so there have been many difference workers. Mr. Gibson even solved an HVAC issue for me that two HVAC companies had been unable to resolve! We would hire him again without reservation.

Recent Review: I think they did a good job overall. I really liked the sales/estimator, especially compared to the 5 other companies I interviewed. He was extremely knowledgeable and had clearly installed roofs before. He didn't make me endure an hour long bs sales pitch like so many of the other companies and he talked very clearly about their product and the job. It was a welcome relief honestly and just as important a factor as the price in choosing them. The roofers themselves were all nice and responsive to questions and the phone receptionist was very professional. When they were done with the roof, I had a question about an exposed gap/hole between two roof lines that used to be covered. They explained it was because the old roof had multiple layers, but they didn't have any issues putting extra flashing in place to cover it and caulking it. One roofer also put a hole in an old deck board that had probably been cracked to begin with and again, the roofer had no problems with replacing the entire board.  The problem was actually showing up for the job. They were scheduled to show up on Wednesday at 8am. I luckily received a call to let me know they were running late on another job and wouldn't be there until 1pm, so I was able to go to work. They never showed, but they called in the afternoon to apologize and let me know. They came early Thursday and did the tear down with a full crew. But then no one showed up on Friday. I called in the afternoon and they seemed surprised. They said another full crew would be there on Saturday and that they would finish the job in a day. Instead only two people showed up Saturday morning. Now those two people worked extremely hard and did a great job but they worked all day Saturday, Sunday and most of Monday. So a job that was supposed to take 2-3 days took 4 days of work plus 2 days of no show.  If you don't mind the punctuality issue, then I'd definitely recommend them based on the price and the quality of work. I gave them an A because quality, price and professionalism are what matter the most to me. But if punctuality and time management are a big concern for you, you might be less satisfied.

Recent Review: I am totally indebted to them. Jonathan Ramirez was the initial person to do my estimate. He also gave an estimate to my neighbor and on the day he did he noticed my alarm had gone off so he chased down the woman, took pictures of her and called 911. By the time I returned home he had gone out of his way to help the police look for the burglar. He was brave and amazing to be able to do that. It reflects positively on the over all attitude and ethics of his company. He stayed with me through the entire process, called and had his boss and the owner come sit with me. I cannot imagine any other roofing company doing something like that. The fact that they are so honest, dependable, conscientious, brave guys is totally awesome. I will tell everyone about my experience, definitely recommend him and absolutely use them, again.

Recent Review: When looking to replace our roof we really wanted to look at metal roofing because of the longevity and look of the product. Although the initial cost of a metal roof is slightly more, if not comparable to a higher end composite material, the payoff over its lifetime is much less, so it was an easy choice. With composite we would have to replace it twice in our lifetime, now we don’t have to change it ever again and we love the look of our metal shingle roof. We chose to go with Mountaintop Metal Roofing because of the different metal roof style options, competitive pricing when compared to other metal and composite roofing companies, and Glenn being very knowledgeable about the products he offered. Glenn provided clear and consistent communication throughout the whole project and was a pleasure to work with him and his crew. Glenn came to our home in the evening to talk to us about replacing our roof. He was very informative about his products, along with other roofing materials as well. All our questions were answered, and a lot were asked. What we liked about this product is when the time comes to replace it the next owner will not incur any damage from tear off, unlike some of the new composite installs out there. In a world that promotes “reduce, reuse & recycle,” we were excited to choose a product that is made of 95% recycled material and can be recycled at the end of its lifetime, 50+ years from now. Our home is a 1901 farmhouse that has been maintained over the years, and now it’s our turn to show it some love. We take joy knowing we will not have to replace our roof in our lifetime, and the warranty is transferable! An important thing to us when we hire contractors is communication. There is nothing worse than having your house torn apart and not hearing anything for several days. With Mountaintop Metal Roofing this wasn’t the case. There was clear communication every day, start to finish. As with any project there can be delays and that’s why it’s even more imperative to have an open line of communication between the contractor and homeowner. We never once had to call to ask about progress, Glenn always kept us informed! The install process was very smooth, with a great crew that was a delight to work with. They kept the sight clean daily and the final clean-up was much better than expected. We understand it’s impossible to get every single little thing, but they did a much better job at clean up than most contractors we’ve seen. We would absolutely refer Mountaintop Metal Roofing for your next roofing project. The price was great, the service was great, and Glenn and his crew did a superb job.

DPACIFIC WEST ROOFING
After almost 2 years of an excruciatingly painful and frustrating process working with Pacific West Roofing Co including: no shows and numerous pushed out start dates; our roof being completely torn off in the middle of winter and left with only underlayment through 4 snow/ice storms; debris being strewn in our attic like kindling next to our gas furnace; extreme lack of communication or answers to our questions; police called to our house for storage of materials on street without permit, parking heavy duty equipment and cracking our neighbors driveway, not remedying cracked driveway for 8 months; installing gutters on only half of our house; tacking thousands of extras onto our bill after one in a half years of continuous headache without explanation or documentation let alone acknowledgment of the terrible experience they put us through, then fighting us to get every last dime of these “extras” out of us; we feel it is our duty to share our story and warn the public to NEVER hire Pacific West Roofing Co. Detailed Timeline • June 2016- we received bid and agree to proceed with project for a SUMMER installation • Date comes for installation, we rearrange our schedule to move all of our pets out of our house due to the noise and stress of putting on a new roof- no one shows up with no e-mail or phone call to alert us the date has been moved • Date is pushed out 4 times in favor of other presumably more important projects • Materials are not ordered properly continuing to delay the timeline • We communicate with PWRC that we are only comfortable to proceed with installation in the winter if the weather is favorable • November 2016- PWRC performs a complete tear off of our roof, just before 4 of the biggest snow storms to hit Portland • Debris from the complete tear off litters our entire attic including on top of our gas furnace system, we have to call to request that they clean this mess up asap due to fire hazard • Police show up to the project as PWRC is storing materials on the street without a permit • Roof is left exposed to the elements with only 1/2” plywood and underlayment through 4 ice storms, freezing and thawing multiple times • Weeks go by without ice or snow when they could have made an effort to complete this project, rather, we wait months and additional snow storms with no roof on our house • Our heating bill goes up exponentially • We e-mail and call PWRC with our concerns repeatedly with nothing more then a receptionist saying someone will give us a call… no call • Without gutters the walkways around our house are covered in inches of sheer ice, our basement tenants with a new born baby, cannot leave their apartment safely • At this point we realize only half of our house has gutters, and no down spouts • We have to contact and pay another contractor to finish the gutters and down spouts • PWRC parks heavy duty equipment in our neighbors driveway to install the roof cap • Our neighbors inform us this equipment cracked and broke their driveway. • We are now at risk being sued by our neighbors because of PWRC poor decision making • When the project is presumably complete, PWRC leaves a stack of materials against our other neighbors house, we have to contact them to come remove the materials • It takes 8 months of persistent e-mails and phone calls by both us and our neighbors to get PWRC to address and remedy the cracked driveway • Without fixing the damaged caused to our neighbor’s home or sending us anything in writing that they will fix the problem, a bill shows up for thousands higher then our original bid without any documentation • To our dismay, PWRC has the audacity to negotiate with us for every last cent, including all the undocumented changes, without any consideration for the terrible experience • They offer us a couple hundred off the bill for the trouble • After months of phone calls trying to get a hold of the President of the company, he tells us we ended up with a “good roof” and this is just how construction goes… • To be done with this nasty nightmare of a situation we are still paying over $2,000 in addition to the original bid just to be done with them We chose Pacific West Roofing Company because we thought they had a professional reputation, and they were not the least expensive quote we received. We are completely shocked at their treatment and feel incredibly taken advantage of. They did not offer any kind of reasonable financial compensation for their mistakes let alone diminished quality of roofing materials after being exposed to the extreme elements for such a long period of time. We feel gouged by the company after being charged thousands of extra dollars covering their overhead for reluctantly fixing our neighbors driveway. Their service has been extremely unsatisfactory and can be described as unprofessional, incompetent and driven by greed. We strongly urge all considering Pacific West Roofing Co for their roofing projects to reconsider.

AWest Coast Roofing
We were very impressed with West Coast Roofing throughout our job, from the initial estimate all the way to the completion of the job. Our house had an old cedar shake roof that was overdue for a replacement, and now we've got a high-performance metal roof that looks great. West Coast Roofing installed all new plywood, added a cricket at our chimney, insulated in spots, and installed our new metal roof, gutters with covers, and downspouts. (They sub out the gutters and downspouts, understandably.) Lucas T. was our estimator and answered all kinds of questions as we made our decision. He was fantastic to work with and deserves a lot of credit for his customer service! In general, these guys were much more thorough and responsive than other companies we received estimates from, and the pricing was great. To top it all off, the crew worked their butts off to get the roof done before the rainy season, putting in 11-hour days! My wife and I were so impressed and thankful that they made it all happen for us. I've already passed along Lucas's info to family and friends looking for a roofer, and they would be the first company I'd call if we ever moved elsewhere and needed a new roof.

AARROW HOME SVC
We were in need of a new roof and decided that a metal roof made sense for us. We called Arrow for an estimate and John was out within a couple days. He took the measurements and provided the estimate. He had put a metal roof on my mother's mobile home in 2001 and she is still very happy with it so we were comfortable moving forward with John. The cost was high but not out of line with other roofing companies and was largely related to the cost of steel. It's worth every penny we spent. The materials were delivered in just a couple days and his crew was on it immediately. It took about 2 1/2 days to complete the roof. The crew had some nasty weather to deal with but they never complained once and they were all very professional. The roof looks great and I anticipate having a functional, beautiful roof for years to come. I definitely recommend Arrow Home Service to anyone in need of a new roof!

AClear Vision Construction
There were a lot of unknowns about this project. We did not know what we would find under the metal roofing. All possibilities were discussed and addressed in our contract. The work went well, all issues addressed and work completed in a very professional manner. The only issue for me was that I prefer more updates on status of the work than I was getting...I think I am just kind of picky in that respect. they did an amazing job. The new roof looks great and I am confident there will be no issues. I whole heartedly recommend this team. I just wish I had another roof to do, I want them to do it.

It was a job well done, just very late. I was disappointed they didn't get to the job as indicated. However I understand the market is very hot for contractors and the weather plays a big part of roofing projects. The managers were very nice and polite with good intentions.
