Lebron did a great job on installing the front door viewer for me with a very decent price. He was able to schedule the service with me pretty quick so I did not need to wait for long. And I was very surprised that he went to the hardware shop to get the right drill for my viewer and performed the service on the same day. The service was professional and he cleaned up after the service, which is very nice. I would recommend Lebron as your go-to guy for small project/work.

ABergman's Lock & Key
Kevin was on time, polite, and professional. Three trips were needed to complete the work, but Kevin stuck to his original estimate and did not charge for the extra trips. On the first trip, Kevin noticed that one of the new knobs had a defective spring mechanism. On the second trip he brought another new knob, but had trouble drilling into the foundation wall to install brackets in the basement. All work was completed on the third trip. Payment was requested only after the completion of all work. Again, Kevin was pleasant and very professional.

He said he could do some railing for our cement steps but he could not. He was punctual and on time. You just have to make sure he can actually do it.

Mr. Metford came out to repair our doors. The problem was a draft that was coming from under the doors, not to mention a visible gap. They arrived promptly; they were very professional and courteous gentlemen. We were very impressed by the quality of the work that was done, and we were happy that they were able to do it in under four hours and stick to the quote. They also installed a various cornucopia of safety features which included a security chain, deadbolt, and a larger peep hole. They were conscientious of my cats and they kept the work area neat. In fact, they even cleaned the outside of the doors when they finished. More importantly, although I couldn't get them to wash my windows, the doors work well and the draft is gone. It was money well spent. I would recommend them to anybody who needs door repair or replacement.

AJack of All Trades
I bought new hardwood doors for my pantry and kitchen/garage entry. The first handyman came up with personal problems after installing the pantry door and never returned my calls thereafter. I contacted another handyman from Angies List, who accepted the job over the phone, only to show up on the appointed day to realize he couldn't handle the job after seeing it. Jack Goltiani of Jack of All Trades was recommended to me by the salesman at the hardware store where I bought the doors. He responded to my call quickly and stopped by the next day after I got home from work to take a look. There were complications, due to the way the original doors were installed in 1954 when the house was built, but Jack's motto is "There's always a way." I felt very relieved and confident when he assured me he could do the work and we tentatively scheduled the work for a week when I was planning to be home from work. He stopped by on Tuesday of that week to explain another job was taking longer than planned and to make a final plan for Wednesday. He also took a second look at the work to make sure he was prepared and took note of a few other things I wanted taken care of. He arrived on time the next morning and went straight to work. I was impressed with his careful and thoughtful approach to doing things. He asked about my preferences on different things and went the extra distance to do things right and make them look nice. I didn't have to remind him of anything on the list and he did them in an order that made the most sense. He had good advice for me on the work that I will do later in staining and painting. He is extremely pleasant to have around, even thinking to warn me in plenty of time before using the nail gun after he learned my dog is sensitive to loud noises. (A man who loves dogs is okay in my book any day.) He swept out the whole garage afterward and his bill was right in line with his estimate. I definitely would recommend Jack to anyone for handyman tasks. I'm not even sure what all he does, but I know I'll check with him first when I have anything that needs doing in my home.

The installation of the outside light ran over time and they ran out of daylight, requiring a return visit to finish, 10 days later. The quality of the work was professional and they were very personable I would, and have, recommend them to others.

He's great! I just keep a list and call him every once and a while. I just started with him recently, and I have been very pleased to find a handyman who knew what he was doing and had good ideas and suggestions as well. He charges 35 dollars an hour.

BL G Handyworks
Lots of jobs from patching a ceiling, putting in a peephole, putting in new sinks and faucets, new electrical sockets, hook into ceiling coat rack, medicine chest hung, installed a porch light. I took careful notes about time when he came and went and the lunch breaks. He tried to charge me several hours more labor than I logged. Make sure that you agree on the hours being written down. He tried to charge a fully hour for partial hours work and for lunch breaks. If he says that he won't charge only $80 for the first hour, then $40 thereafter, get that in writing if you have him coming back more than one day. He'll try to charge you 80 for first hour on the next day too. So besides the billing issue, he was a great repair man and a really nice guy.
Recent Review: In Feb. 2014 our garage door completely stopped working and we assumed the Liftmaster motor was dead even though it was less than 5 years old. We contacted Liftmaster and they referred us to Anderson Door. Anderson was able to come out the next day. They were prompt and able to quickly diagnose the problem and they had a replacement board on their truck. So they were able to fix the garage door that day. The price was reasonable and they did not try to take advantage of us. In March 2014, Anderson installed a Key Release mechanism in our garage door. Again they were prompt, professional and reasonable. A Key Release was necessary because we have no other access to our garage except through the garage door itself (exterior detached garage). We used Door Pro through Costco to install the door originally and it's amazing that they didn't suggest a Key Release for our door. We used Door Pro once for maintenance (just to grease the rails was $150.00 - what a rip off). We also called them on this occasion when the door stopped working. They were less than helpful and thank God Liftmaster recommended Anderson Door. I will never go through Door Pro again.

Recent Review: Initial miscommunication about who was to send measurements to Frank Lumber. Wrong material ordered but door was installed because old door was taken out before the new one arrived. Subsequent problems with the door. McCashen re-did the work but it took some time to get it all figured out and was a stressful and time consuming process along the way. Quality of final work is overall fine and new door works well.
Recent Review: John was very knowledgeable and showed up on time. He got my garage door to work well again, help get my door openers working, too. Discussed all repairs to door components with me. Very professional.Would use again when needed.
Recent Review: We are living in a home new to us. The garage door squealed and made terrible noises. The technician who came to work on the door was prompt, friendly, informative, and efficient. He gave us advice for cleaning the mold off the door and also suggested that we recode the outside opener. The door now works smoothly and only makes normal garage door noises when it goes up and down.
Recent Review: It was highly professional. The work done was great from starting to finish. Right from the beginning they took the measurements very meticulously. One of the tiles was not finished when they came for initial measurement, my bad. But they came again, the next day for measurement. Once the glass was ready, they came and fit it. Everything was transparent starting from what hardware to use to what type of glass to use. I would definitely recommend them.
