Recent Review: I had quite a few uneven areas in my driveway that were a trip hazard. I had tripped on them myself. I received a couple of quotes on having a new driveway poured but experienced sticker shock and wasn't thrilled about not being able to drive on my driveway for over a week while it cured. I saw Flat Rock on Angie's List and decided to have them come out to explain what they do and give me an estimate. Britt came out and measured the driveway, explained the areas that need lifting and how it is done, talked about how they fill the expansion joints (which were also a trip hazard), and the care they take in pressure washing. He quoted me the following prices: 1) Pressure wash & seal was $1.25 per square foot of $875. That seamed high to me, but when I researched cost of sealing it was pretty high by itself. 2) Remove the wood expansion joints and replace with gaskets at $7.50 per foot or $832 for my 111' of expansion joints. and 3) Lift and align two sunken areas $800. He and his helper came out and began with the lifting... it was quite cool to watch as they injected a special substance into holes they had drilled in the concrete. When they did so several of the cracks closed in width (not entirely but noticeably). They filled the holes so they were not all that noticeable. They removed the expansion joints and then power washed at a low pressure to minimize surface loss. Before sealing they let the ground dry overnight and came back the next day. Britt came back the next day and sealed the concrete which dried quickly and then he put the new expansion joints in. It was a Sunday and he had his daughter with him because I lived next to a park and she wanted to play afterwards. He put her to work laying some river rock along part of one side of the driveway where he had noticed a drainage issue. His daughter then rewarded me with a story about how some of the rocks were "fairy rocks." LOL I believe the next day his helper came back and brushed sand in around the gaskets to fill any extra space. The driveway looks nice... not as nice as a brand new one but at 1/3 to 1/4 the cost I am very happy. I also like the environmental part of not having to dispose of the old concrete. They also offered a 5% discount for Angie's List members.

Uneven surfaces caused by differences in paint thickness are sanded down before the first coat of paint is applied. Of course we fill all cracks on the sidings and we re-caulk all the gaps that have split or cracked to seal out moisture and drafts. Recent Review: Justin was professional, responsive and he and his team did an excellent job for us. They arrived on time and made sure I was happy with the work done before payment was given. I would definitely use their services again and highly recommend them to anyone needing similar work performed.
Recent Review: We bought a pressure washing deal and added additional square footage. Because we have a lot of trees on our property, we typically do pressure washing on our two driveways every two years or so. This time it was done the best, so we'll be using them again the next time. Prompt and efficient.
Recent Review: John and his assistant did a superb job. This is the second year he has pressure washed for us. We have a very complicated house that has both a metal and composite roof as well as metal and wood siding. The quality of his work is unsurpassed. There is a lot of nice landscaping around the house as well as numerous planters. Each time John has pressure washed for us, he has done an excellent job protecting the landscaping. It is clear that he takes pride in his work. We will continue to use his services in the future and recommend him without hesitation.
Great customer service! John and Sergio traveled way out of their normal operating area to take care of my mother's house!

ACrawford's Pressure Washing & Painting
A friend had referred John Crawford of Crawford's Pressure Washing and Painting to me for replacing gutters. My initial call to him was for an estimate for replacing gutters. I decided to hold off on the gutters, but hired him to do the work described about. He charged $500 to pressure wash the roof, repair a small section, and remove and haul off old gutters. He did the work promptly and well. I didn't get other estimates but this seemed like a good value. I then paid him $150 to pressure wash a small deck. And then he asked if I needed help with anything else, and I ended up paying him $70 to haul off 3 pieces of heavy furniture that I felt I shouldn't be lifting myself. Throughout the whole process his was very prompt to return phone calls, get back to me with an estimate, schedule the work, then follow up to let me know the work had been accomplished. He was polite and not pushy. I would happily hire him again.

FKARE by Kaya
If you double check her or her the subs/friends that she pays to do the work, it's ok.. sorta. But don't go by the hourly rate, go by the project. I actually had her "team" do the yard for me a few times. The last time, very last time they missed a whole section of the yard. I had already sent the check and she PROMISED to refund some of the time due to the lack of quality. That NEVER happen (it's been months). I know how it is to be a small business and how sometimes having to pay people can get tight. In fact the first time I had her do yard work the check took longer than she had hoped to go get processed through my bank's BillPay. She nagged until I agreed to walk cash over to her bank, I had to look the nearest branch and deposit funds into her account. BillPay would have taken 2 weeks and she couldn't wait... I ended up having to leave work to preform this task for her due to the up-coming holiday. She's got some good resources but her lack of character when it comes to her crew gets in the way and money often is needed instantly. I would only recommend her services if you are home and able to keep an eye out on what time her crew arrives and leaves then double check the service (as in walk the yard) before sending money.
