Recent Review: We called to request an estimate and received a call back. We met and went over the work we wanted done. Igor with Affordable Kitchens was very friendly and helpful. After getting a quote we decided to wait on the work but this is something we plan to do in the future and will call them back.

Recent Review: The project was to be completed while I was out of town, 95 % of the work was completed, but then it took an additional 2 weeks to complete the final touches. The estimate started out low but kept kept going up with every little thing. I was told "I do some things for free" but I was charged for all items with the final price being 50% more than the original estimate. These were items that were necessary in my opinion, but it sure made the original estimate seem like less of the great deal that I thought it was to begin with.

Recent Review: Curt came promptly to give an estimate and was easy to work with throughout. The painting team was punctual and seemed to work hard. They cleaned up as well as could be expected after each day's work. They were even careful to keep our cats out of the work area. We're very pleased with the paint job, especially the cabinets - they look like new! The only drawback was that they don't have a shop to spray paint cabinet doors, so we had to give up up our dining room for two weeks, but we feel that was appropriately reflected in the price. The job was completed on time. We'll definitely use A Fresh Coat again.

Recent Review: Having never done anything like this before All Wood was very reassuring it would turn out great. Peter made me feel at ease. This team was easy to work with and willing to handle the job as it grew from refinishing to painting. Each member worked hard and very trustworthy to leave my home with them in charge. Our kitchen looks refreshed and this work complimented the rest of our kitchen makeover nicely.

Recent Review: He was really close. I liked that he walked me through the process. He was willing to work in phases. In other words, instead of just the $4860, he could have done everything in phases and it would have ended up costing me more. So, he gave me another option which was to pay everything with a 20% discount plus a senior discount. I liked that too. He seemed to really know his stuff. He looked at my cabinets and there were a lot of changes that he could make. He could customize it which wasn't going to cost me anymore really. He offered me alternatives to what I had.

DAFFORDABLE KITCHENS
Initial contact was great and felt good about my selection. I had a timeline since I had other contractors lined up to do additional things in the kitchen when they were done. I was told the week of March 7th that it would take about 3-4 days, and we finished on April 8th! It started with not getting the stain right even though I got them a sample on their own piece of wood and things went downhill from there. They constantly came with doors that were the wrong color and the installer told me the owner who is color blind did the staining.  Supposedly this was the excuse at first for being behind. Then the installer would come to work just a few hours a day. Or would show up do one little thing then leave. At week three he wanted his third and final payment and gave us a sob story. We said get more work done and we will make a payment towards the final bill. We left for over an hour and came back and he still was standing around doing nothing as he always had been doing. My husband kicked him off the job and we tried to get a hold of the owner (this is the short version of a painful few weeks). It took a long time to the owner Jim to contact us. Then we were told Blane the installer was the only guy he had to come back. We were between a rock and a hard spot so let him come. He finally finished the job but required us to stay there with him until 10pm at night. This guy was a master of excuses. No communication between the sales guy Jim and the installer Blane. The final product is okay. The drawers stick and don't slide smoothly. I wish I had hired someone else. This is a very unprofessional company. I don't think they have much staff and their business runs out of a rented storage space.

DCabinet Cures of Pdx
The experience was terrible. The designer arrived in an attitude of frustration, sat her bag on the counter and audibly sighed. Seemed to have no enthusiasm for the project. Did not offer ideas and when I pulled up my Pinterest board of ideas she exclaimed more than once in utter annoyance 'I hate Pinterest'. Without even asking my budget she said "these are the cabinets in your budget" -- I wanted someone excited and ready to bounce ideas around to ℅-create an awesome kitchen. On top of that the quote was outrageous for non custom cabinets and no new cabinets.

DAll Wood Restoration
Work took longer then specified.  Total amount of time was over 2 month for a weeks worth of work.  Doors and draws weren't aligned.  I need to re-align the doors after the installer completed work. I had requested the inter edge of the cabinets to be covered.  First try on this was sloppy.  When doing the install the interior cabinets were scared causing additional repair to the cabinets.  We made the owner redo the work.  One of the cabinet doors had wrong side swing open.  Instead of getting the correct door.   The installer put the door up, with visable hole on the side of the door that swings out.  The cabinets look good, but the time and re-work caused this to be a bad experince.

BF Linza Cabinets
Everything went very well. However, one has to work closely with Mr. Linza as corrections are sometimes needed to his work. Starting less than 6 months after the work was completed, many of the glued-on laminate pieces started peeling off. I have been re-gluing pieces ever since. Also I have noticed that a lot of the drawer faces were assembled at strange angles with many incorrect holes drilled into the drawers themselves. One set of draws hits the range every time I open them.

ARefinish First LLC
I have a lot of cabinets....42 cabinet pulls in all! Refinish First painted the original cabinets that were installed in the mid 70's. They were wood and stained a dark brown color.  They had no cabinet pulls.  I chose a more bold color, which is a mid blue-grey-green color.  And I LOVE IT!  The crew arrived exactly on schedule.  The first day was prep day, removing the drawer faces and cabinet doors and completely masking and blocking off any part of the kitchen NOT to be painted.  They spray painted cabinet boxes on day 2 and painted the cabinet drawer fronts and doors on day 2-4.  Reinstallation was done on day 5.  They also installed new cabinet and drawer pulls. Everything went according to schedule (crew arrived on time, were pleasant to work with, and cleaned up after themselves) and was done very well.  The cabinets look amazing...I absolutely love them!  Dealing with Claire Luton (one of the owners) on the extent of the job (I had several versions estimated) and the scheduling was great.  Couldn't have asked for better.  I am completely happy with the job.

ASURFACE SOLUTIONS LLC
The transformation was really amazing; I was very impressed.  It was a real pleasure to work with this company beginning with David who came out to give a bid and whom I worked with to choose the style and wood.  The installation process was impeccable thanks to Greg who really knew what he was doing, in additon to being a really nice guy.  Everything went really smoothly and I was really impressed with  not only the overall quality, but the outcome.  It was like walking into a new kitchen.  I would definitely recommend them again.
