Recent Review: This involved removing sections of the ceiling to allow for overhead ducting.  Damian and his crew were "EXCELLENT".  They had to perform a number of varied tasks including electrical, sheetrock, granite cutting, gas plumbing and hook up, range installation, ducting, and plumbing fixture installation.  The quality of work was top notch and they were punctual, clean, personable and reasonable on pricing.  I would definitely use them again.

Recent Review: It went well, We were able to cook on our new stove that same evening. It is an old house, but they were able to connect to an existing line and finish on time and within quoted price. This is the second job they did for us. Last year they relined our broken sewer pipes. They did an excellent job. Their estimate was much better then 3 Seattle firms and the work was top notch. Old Seattle homes can create a challenge and his team of workers dealt with those issues but he called those issues out up front so we weren't caught by surprise.

Recent Review: Best possible outcome. Company was able to schedule a great technician in a reasonable amount of time, when Thermador itself had scheduled an appointment 4 weeks out and then called to say their technician had quit and gave me several local references. Luckily, when they told me about the initial appointment delay, I had called Appliance Service Station (I have been a customer for several years previous to this) and they were able to give me an appointment in a week. The technician was professional and thorough, and explained in detail what the repair would entail and the associated cost. And, he apologized when the factory part he brought turned out to be defective. He efficiently cleaned up and told me I'd be contacted again about when the part would be in, and he would be the technician coming back. And, that all happened in a week. The repair was expensive, but then the cooktop was expensive to begin with, and we assumed the parts would be similarly priced. The technician spent all the time needed to do a great job, and answer all our questions.

FDAMIAN JOHN CONSTRUCTION
Exorbitant, unrealistic prices. I was quoted $360 for a repair that would take most handymen 20 minutes. I was initially quoted $225 to remove a broken ceramic cooktop and install a new one (same model / dimensions). The price seemed high but I was willing to pay it because Damian John Construction had been referred to me. After I had scheduled a date and provided my payment info, the employee told me it would be an additional $135 for "parking" because I didn't have on-site parking in my apartment building. I explained that there was a parking lot immediately next to my building on the same block, and another larger lot one block away. I said that that I'd be happy to pay for the parking fee ($5-10) and show the repairman where to park. The scheduler then claimed that the $135 fee was also to cover the effort of carrying heavy tools from the truck into my building. Realizing that I was being scammed, I canceled the appointment and looked into doing it myself. To put this installation into perspective, with no prior experience at all, I only needed ONE tool (a screwdriver) to complete this job on my own. I can't fathom why anyone could in good faith ask $135 to carry a screwdriver to the job. Ultimately, there were only two wires to hook up, and I just hooked up the new one in the manner as the broken cooktop. It's patently ridiculous to charge nearly $400 to remove and install an appliance that cost only $300 to buy in the first place. I ended up doing the job myself, after watching a ten minute YouTube guide, and it took me thirty minutes. It's unconscionable that a company would charge these prices and THEN tack $135 to park their truck and carry one tool a couple hundred feet. If the employee would have been flexible and waived that fee, this company would have had a content customer, but now I have the most low opinion possible of Damian John.

ASno King Appliance Service Co
I have a GE Profile cooktop fan that rises from the counter with the push of a button...but then one day a couple of weeks ago, it didn't! I called Sno-King and they ordered a part. Next day it came in and the day after that, the repairman was in my kitchen. Turned out the wiring was just loose--no new switch needed. The repairman cheerfully sent back the part and charged me appropriately less than the phone estimate (with part) had been. It is fixed and I am happy. Thoroughly pleasant, professional interaction.

APesky Appliance Repair
Called Pesky Appliance to come and give me an estimate on fixing a glass top stove.  1 burner was not working.  We made an appointment where my tenant was available and the repairman could make it.  After the initial bid of $265 for parts and labor I decided to go ahead and get the range repaired.  It seemed a bit high but I needed to get it fixed.  After finding a time with my tenant's availability I called again to make the final repair date.  Pesky appliance was able to be very flexible and made the appointment according to the tenants availability.  The range was repaired in less than an hour and the final cost was about $100 less than expected.
