Reviews in Bellevue to Install Interior Trim & Decorative Molding

AMcCashen Construction Co
Dan responded to my request for a bid the same day I phoned him.  His bid price was fair.  He showed up the next day as promised to install the door.  The job turned out to be a slight bit more because the old door frame was shimmed oddly and needed an extra bit of work. Dan took it stride, completed the job as promised - in less than 5 hours, even adding a bit more to the job by adding some interior trim that he had left over from before.  He even mopped the entry floor!  I definitely would hire him again.

AThe QM Team
I bought an old house in Seattle in March 2013.  I've had a lot of work done to restore it to the way it was way back then, which included putting a small window back on the front of the house that had been boarded up and covered with drywall and siding. My new window needed the interior finishing trim work done and I wanted it to look perfect.  I didn't want a modern look in this house - I wanted the trim to match all of the other, old trim work in the house. Tony and his dad listened to what I wanted, carefully looked at and measured the old trim work and custom built the trim for my new window so that it matches the others exactly! I could not be happier with the job that they did!  This is the second job I've hired them for and I will always hire them for all my future projects.  I highly recommend that you call them for an estimate before giving your project to anyone else.

BSeattle Craftsmen Contruction
We came home to find that the front door had been kicked in- the door itself was intact but the framing around the deadbolt area was not. Our house was built in 1900, and that deadbolt and lock area had been messed with many times over the years leaving that area pretty vulnerable. I looked on Angie's list and called Mr. Handyman. He came out, assessed the damage, and had to cut into the framing and replace a section. I had already removed the interior trim -it is old and basically irreplaceable. The work done was great-- the replacement pieces were put in carefully. When I went to put the interior trim back I decided, since that framing had been pieced, that I would feel better if I put a metal mending strip that went past the replaced piece. It just made me feel more secure.

AClass Act Carpentry
Wonderful. Another contractor had botched some of my work and left abruptly. James Ferguson of Class Act Carpentry stepped in and installed my siding, with a vapor barrier, new windows and trim with exceptional workmanship. Everything was level and straight and well placed. He communicated well with me. He worked quickly and efficiently and was on time every day. He kept my home clean of his materials. He did the interior trim(casement around the windows, trim around the windows and floor trim after flooring had been laid. All was caulked very nice and clean. Everything was straight and level. He explained what he was doing. The blinds measurement guy said how wonderful the casement of the windows job was in that every window was absolutely square and level and there were 10 windows. The building of the deck stairs is ongoing at the moment but I am sure I will equally pleased with that work.

ARon Maack Construction and Handyman
After burglars broke into our home, we were left with a front door falling off its hinges and a door jamb beyond repair. It was July 2nd and we were at a loss -- the impending holiday meant we weren't likely to get a replacement in place anytime soon. Enter Ron Maack, who not only agreed to take the job on short notice, but volunteered to come out on Saturday July 4th (!) to install our new door. Ron went out of his way, from picking up the door for us to taking it back and dealing with the door company when we found out our door's rough opening wasn't quite as tall as a standard one. Once we finally got all the pieces to the site, Ron did the job quickly and cleanly, and our entry now looks as good as new. We'll be working with Ron again next time we have construction/handyman work that's beyond us. Thanks Ron!

CNorthwest Window and Door
Window replacement work was satisfactory although they damaged some bathroom tile in both bathrooms when tearing out the windows. The interior trim out job was very shoddy. I would hire a proper finish carpenter to do this part of the job next time. The mitre joints were very sloppy. They told me just to fill them with wood filler. I had them redo the joints. I had to really keep my eyes on their work quality, to get what I wanted.

Very professional; Cleaned up after themselves; Our only complaint is that some of the miter cuts were not done very precise. We did not notice this unitl after the fact.

CNorthwest Window and Door
Overall a C job. Not great and not horrible. Good points - windows are functional and better than what we had; the interior trim looks nice (but is installed incorrectly). Bad points - exterior trim was not to our specifications (side trim 1" smaller than requested), interior trim is installed incorrectly, windows (Milgard) are ok, but not fantastic quality, nice workers, but they were moody and easily dejected making it difficult to discuss problems as they arose. They told us that it would take them 3 days to put in all the windows. Of course we knew that was absolutely not going to happen - 17 windows and interior and exterior trim in 3 days, get real!! . We didn't really care, but when it took their two guys weeks, they got mad at us. We went with the company because of price and because they were responsive and called back often working with us to put the bid together. I would say that window companies as a category were the most unprofessional and unresponsive group that we dealt with in our remodel. It became clear that no matter who we chose it was not going to be a very pleasant experience.

Jim has a terrific work ethic, you really get your money's worth and he knows what he's doing. He was great to work with. I did part of the work myself with his advice and he was happy to have me as a helper. His approach to some of my issues saved me time and money.

ASANDNESS CONSTRUCTION
I would definitely recommend them. His workmanship is topnotch. He is super creative. He has great communication skills. He is timely. If he says he is going to be on the job at 8:30, he is here at 8:30. He is usually right on with his material costs. I have recommended him to 3 or 4 people already. He is sometimes a little hard to look at because he wears rocker t-shirts and a cigarette.
