Recent Review: Matt was the subcontractor used by Heinemann Construction to do the electrical work required to finish our basement. We had a general vision (lots of light, using highly-efficient recessed lighting) but were very unsure about which kinds and how many fixtures would make most sense. Matt did a superb job of guiding us towards what ended up being great decisions.

Recent Review: It was fantastic and they were really very good. They came in, did their thing, gave us a quote straight off, did all the work thoroughly and cleaned up everything afterwards. They were really really good. They are expensive but you get what you pay for. It cost more than what I expected. I had a another quote that was lot cheaper but I expected this to be similar but Mainstream were very good at what they worked at so it was fair as they did a good job.

Recent Review: We have been incredibly impressed with Valley Electric. We have had them do approximately $3700.00 over 3 periods of work for us. Tim, owner, comes out each time we want work done to provide a bid.  He is very professional, on time, explains work clearly. His workers are polite, on time, professional, get the work done efficiently. I will be calling them in the future for all electrical work. Thank you, guys, for everything. We appreciate it. Sorry so late getting my reviews done. JS

Recent Review: We have waited 25 years to find a contractor as good as Tim Adair.  He is 100% trustworthy (he has keys to our home) and his work is outstanding.  When you first meet, Tim will ask about your project and work with you on materials and finishes.  He knows the best people and places to go for great materials and is quite happy for you to seek them out for yourself (no contractor markups).  His no pressure advice on every aspect of our remodel(s) was invaluable. Tim is completely comfortable with every aspect of remodeling - plumbing, tiling, electrical, cabinet installation, lighting, granite etc.  In our kitchen remodel Tim matched the stains on our cabinets for a new larder and baseboards.  Everything matches, everything lines up and everything works.  Our kitchen designer mismeasured and ordered the wrong cabinets.  Tim was completely unfazed and worked with us and her to find a workaround and the result is fantastic. I recently had a serious accident that stopped my doing some finishing painting and Tim stepped in and worked his weekend so everything would be done.  His son even came and cut my grass!  Yes, he is that good.

Recent Review: Simon Way, the general contractor, was great to work with.  He kept me informed of what needed to be done throughout the project and hired sub-contractors (electrician and plumbers) who did a wonderful job.  They just came in, did what was needed and left.  They didn't leave a big mess for me to clean up either.  The whole project was pretty much handled by Fred Stevens, the finish carpenter.  I can't say enough good things about Fred, except that he knows what he's doing, is a perfectionist with his work and a real craftsman.  All the people I came into contact with were very pleasant and professional, and I highly recommend SCS Contracting. The work went very smoothly considering several problems they encountered:  the wrong type of sub-floor material had been installed, lights in the bathroom weren't a suitable type, trim around kitchen fluorescent light box needed to be made, new doors and frames to replace existing ones were a slightly different size than the cut out space available, plumbing and faucet in one room in the garage present a challenge to use existing materials. There was a lot of work involved with both the remodeling and completing the new construction work that was never finished.  The project took longer than any of us anticipated but the end result is outstanding.

They worked with me to review and revise estimates, performed very efficiently, were timely, friendly, courteous, and returned after I had paid, to fix a plug that didn't work w/o charge. Also, answered questions patiently and clearly.
