Recent Review: It went very well, they told us it would be done before July 4th and true to their word it was complete. Very professional, and had a lot of knowledge( they knew what they were doing. All in all I am very pleased with the finished result. Since the install of the Nuflo System I no longer have any issues with my liner floating, it works great, and I'm very pleased with the liner. I would definitely contact them again in the near future if I am in need of their services. $ 2,400 for the Liner Replacement and it included all the next fixtures and light fixture replaced. $ 3,000 for the Nuflo System

Recent Review: Tony did a great job. He got the liner faster than expected and had it installed in less than 2 days. He was much cheaper than other companies that priced the liner replacement and was very professional from start to finish. I would highly recommend American Liners to anyone needing a liner replaced.
The pool deck and pool liner replacement were very good. However, a fountain was to be installed by a provider subcontractor. The fountain didn't work and was removed leaving a pipe sticking out of the cement deck. The concrete replacement on the driveway appeared to be very good but we found a 15 foot crack in the driveway. We contacted the provider, Great Neck Pools and have been promised that the driveway crack in would be fixed by replacing the concrete in March of 2014.

We had a great experience. Brad Perron the owner was our primary contact throughout the entire process. He met with us as we were gathering estimates and as we narrowed down our choices he was patient and very helpful explaining our options. Prior to signing the contract we received many estimates and his estimate was in the middle of the pack. We liked his very honest approach to pros and cons and felt like he genuinely wanted to help us figure out exactly what would suit our family's needs the best. We had to change our layout a bit once our survey was done and he made that process as simple as possible for us. He was available to answer our calls and he kept us on his schedule for the most part. We did have some weather related delays but that was discussed in the beginning. We choose a vinyl liner, salt system, polaris, with colored lights and fountains with stamped concrete around the pool. Contemporary Pools also does all of their concrete which made the timing work out great as there were not any subcontractors. Our pool was finished in early May and we were able to enjoy it all summer. We did not have any problems over the summer and Brad remained available to answer questions about the system as the came up. Our final product is amazing, we love it and only wish we had put it in sooner. I think much of our great attitude about is because Contemporary Pools did such a great job. They really cared about the final product and it really shows in the end result. We received endless positive comments about the pool all summer long! Thanks Contemporary Pools.

FTHE GOOD EARTH LANDSCAPE CO
After agreeing the scope of the work would include only the rebuild of the pond and replacing the skimmer (the waterfall and piping were excluded), we negotiated a price and materials list. The rebuilding of the pond and replacing the skimmer were satisfactory. Everything else was the problem. Patrick began by storing the fish in three 35-gallon trash cans using aquarium bubblers to aerate the water. The work took about three days and each day we had to remove dead fish from the storage cans. Patrick rushed to get the fish back in the pond. When the pond was completed he refilled it with city water even though I showed him where the well pump was located. He then put the fish (about 10 total) back in the rebuilt pond and treated the water with chemicals. The fish died in about two days. Patrick never apologized for the loss of all 67 fish (with a retail value, based on size, of about $700) and never offered to restock the pond. After the fish died, we had the water tested at Animal Jungle. The pH, ammonia, and nitrites were as far out of balance as possible -- the new water was toxic. We were told the pond should have been filled and flushed several times with the well water and then tested before the fish were reintroduced. And, chemicals, if needed, should not have been added until the fish were re-acclimatized. Patrick told us he spoke to an "expert" after the fish died and was told the problem was our fish had been overfed and the water they had lived in for five years was toxic. Patrick also admitted the most fish he had ever stored previously was about 5 or 6. Since the waterfall was turned on there have been problems with leaks. Patrick dismantled the lower step of the waterfall and lengthened it during the rebuild even though the waterfall was not part of the project. (Instead of running the new pond under the existing last step like the original pond was constructed, Patrick extended the waterfall to meet the new pond.) When I came home one day and saw the pond was leaking after 5 previous leaks had been fixed , I was furious. Patrick contended the waterfall was not part of the scope of the work -- even though he rebuilt the lower step -- and we would have to pay him more money to fix it. He claimed again the old pond water was toxic and that was why the fish died. He also said the leaks were caused by the shabby work of the original pond builder -- even though all of the leaks were in the area that Patrick rebuilt. He then sent us a letter saying he had completed the work he was contracted to do and he declined to do any further work. He went on to say we should get someone else to fix the leaks. He finished with, "This letter marks the end of our business relationship." A very disappointing end to a very promising beginning!

Mike came out and took detailed measurements of the pool, sent those to the liner company and had the liner custom made to fit the pool. They removed the remaining water in the pool and removed the old liner and fittings. The pool bottom had settled in an area, so he made sure this was patched correctly. The new liner was installed with all new fittings and everything looks wonderful. Mike was very willing to explain all procedures and took the time to stop what he was doing to answer my questions.

They were prompt (arrived when they said they would). Got right to work removing the old liner. Removed old pool liner, prepared surfaces for new liner and installed new liner. Removed all work related debris. Looks like a new inground swimming pool.

I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Wallace and American Liners and the positive experience I had with my pool liner replacement. His estimate for a 28 ml replacement liner was both complete (with no potential hidden costs) and very reasonable. He honored the Angie’s List coupon without hesitation, which resulted in the cost cited below. My Virginia Beach, VA pool is an 18’x26’x40’ “true L” with an 8’ deep end. He took precise measurements that were provided to his manufacturer Dover Vinyl Products (a Made in the USA company). New liner was delivered in less than 3 weeks. 30,000-gallon pool was dewatered the first day and liner was installed the next day with water going back into the pool by that afternoon. Finish work and inspection were completed as promised the following day. Mr. Wallace and his crew were extremely professional, clearly knowing what they were doing. Mr. Wallace’s decades of experience in pool installation, maintenance and liner replacement were further validated when he was able to work around an issue with the existing well point, with no additional charge. The result is a liner that fits like a glove with no wrinkles. It is beautiful. With his great workmanship and extended warranty, American Liners sets the standard.

FAEGEAN POOLS INC
Recently I visited the Aegean Pools on Battlefield Boulevard after viewing an advertisement in the Best of Tidewater Magazine with the intention of purchasing a 24’ round above ground pool liner. The magazine offered “$200 off a liner replacement”. Upon investigation I found that the ad is false and there wasn’t an above ground pool liner available by the Aegean Pool company with that discount. The Aegean Pool representative presented with an attitude that was quite aggressive upon questioning him about this advertisement and why I wasn’t allowed to purchase the said pool liner. The employee said we had to mention the advertisement prior to conversing about the pool liner and indicated that I did not read the ad correctly that the company was speaking about a pool liner not an above ground pool liner. Not sure how I misunderstood the coupon that shows $200 off a liner replacement without qualification. I advise to check this company out thoroughly prior to purchasing anything!
