Recent Review: The service was okay. The install took a little time. I felt that what was advertised, and what I received wasn’t exactly what I ordered. I think I should’ve been given the choice if I wanted that product, or if I wanted something different. They workers were professional, and they worked as long as they could to finish the job. I would recommend them to others
Recent Review: I was searching for a cheaper alternative to home security monitoring. My family and I are on a tight budget, and we could not afford the steep charges from Suddenlink and other local home security providers for their systems. The two things causing the services to be so expensive were: (a) the cost of the monthly phone service we would need, since we don't have home phone service, and (b) the cost of the monitoring itself. We would had to pay about $80 a month, or more with these traditional companies! Thankfully I found NextAlarm after some careful googling. They are a fraction of the price of any of their competitors. Their system appeals to me, because it uses the internet rather than a phone line, saving lots of money. Their monitoring itself (done in the traditional way, with real people in a dispatch office) is also substantially cheaper on top of that. I paid $250 for the home security kit and now I only pay $13.50 per month for the monitoring! Its so cheap that the costs are literally offset entirely by the savings to my homeowner's insurance premium. The support staff at NextAlarm are great. They are so patient, and they will help you with anything related to your system. I have called them numerous times with little questions about this or that, and they are always super nice and knowledgable. They even walk you through how to make changes to your security system, step-by-step, when you want to change delay or change the programs. Please make note of the fact that they do not have a local installer to do the installation. The third-party vendor who offers an and quot;Instal cardand quot; will not be able to install your service in East Texas (they will refund your money once they see where you need the installation). Point being, you will need to hire a local handyman to install the home security system for you. As I already mentioned, I used Stephan du Toit -- (www.facebook.com/professionalhandymanservices). He charged my $60. Besides that little hiccup, NextAlarm is amazing. In summary, I love my service. I hope more people in my area sign up with them. It is such a great deal and they're so great!
Recent Review: Everything went great. I got the system a few days later and started to install it. All the devices were easy to put up all told it took about 45 minutes to get up and running. During the install I set the alarm off and Getsafe called me right away. I like the way it looks in my home and by that I mean I hardly notice it is there. I like being able to control the system from my phone and being able to check on my house with the camera when I am away.
Recent Review: It started with the name Pinnacle. It started going downhill maybe when somebody else bought it. My husband picked them. He had a cold call and then he went with it. I think we had another system at that time.

Issues: After detailing my security concerns, the owner installs a new security system in the house that he had no experience configuring. I have long flat walls on the exterior of my house. He proceeded without asking to install an exposed phone line approximately 4 feet from the ground, against a long flat wall, all while drilling holes in my newly installed brick. When I discovered this long, exposed, easily cut phone line strung across the exterior wall, I had him remove it immediately and just configure the cell phone piece. It took several visits for him to finally get that working properly. Fast-forward...a year passed and I was due a decrease in my monitoring fee based on his program. It took months for him to correct the billing. Fast-forward again...I was in the hospital one day with no cell phone access and at some point came out to make a call and received alerts that someone had triggered the alarm by entering the house. Being 60 miles away at the time, I immediately called the monitoring company and was advised yes the alarm was triggered but the police were not dispatched. WHAT??? So the alarm was triggered and after some seconds a monitoring service rep came over the security system and because someone in the house said they were a police officer the monitoring company did not dispatch the real police. Not knowing what happened I wanted my security code changed and was advised I needed to contact the security company (Secure Elements). I called and left a message and days later I received a call back. The owner took some information and said he was going to pull the transcripts from the monitoring company and get back to me. I received NO response. My house could have been emptied prior to me having to leave the hospital, my child in the NICU, to go home to see about my house that was 60 miles away. My contract expired a while ago and I am on month-to-month billing. I have been trying to cancel my service for well over a month now; calling, emailing, sending multiple letters, having the monitoring service contact him and even a certified letter which he accepted. Yet I still receive an ever increasing bill. The monitoring company says to ignore the bills but that is not good advice. My experience with this company (owner/installer) was and continues to be riddled with incompetence and severely lacking customer service. If this is what you are looking for, Secure Elements of Richmond,VA is for you.

I thought the process of finding a new provider would be tedious, but I decided to sign up for Angie's List and got a great deal on FrontPoint through the site. When I made the initial call, I thought I'd just be tire-kicking, but the sales rep was so knowledgeable and efficient at understanding our needs and clearly explaining pricing and benefits that I signed up on the spot. I especially liked that she was able to customize the package to our needs (e.g. we needed 9 smoke detectors, a carbon monoxide detector and just one camera instead of the package shown online) The product arrived in just a few days. My husband easily installed the new system and we were up and running the same day the package arrived. | |We had one small problem where our control panel was notifying us that one detector wasn't sending a signal, so I called customer service and was wowed for a second time. Again, a super efficient, friendly rep walked me through the troubleshooting and resolved the issue. Why can't more companies be run like this one?! We pay a little more on an annual basis for monitoring than we did with our old company, but we think it's well worth the investment, especially since my husband discovered that nearly half of our old smoke detectors had dead batteries and our old system never notified us! We highly recommend FrontPoint Security.
