Recent Review: They arrived promptly to diagnose the problem, and promptly the next day to replace our well pump. Our well is quite deep (1000 feet) which complicated things. The well pump truck they usually use was out of service, so they improvised by using a crane to complete the job quickly, professionally, and with minimal disruption to us. Our well pump was (just) out of warranty by a few months, so on their own initiative, Burgess plumbing asked the well pump company if they would cover the failed pump under warranty. Even though the pump company declined to do so, the bill we received from Burgess plumbing was quite reasonable, considering the depth of the well involved.

Recent Review: Company came out on short notice to look at a large sewage ejector pump that went bad.  They spent about 30-45 minutes working on and realized it was beyond their capability.  I offered to pay for the service call and they refused.  They stated they would not charge me because they could not fix it and gave me the contact info for a company that could.  Rare for such professional and honest service these days.  If I ever have any other plumbing issues I will make sure to call them.  Great company.

Recent Review: Steve was very professional and friendly. He diagnosed the problem. The reason for visit is my alarm sounded. The alarm goes off when something is not working correctly. This happened on a Friday and I put a call in on Saturday. I paid extra (weekend call) because I didn't want sewage to overflow from my downstairs bathroom (from internet search). Steve diagnosed that the pump was not working but my raw sewage tank and effluent tank must be pumped out before new pump replacement. Pumping two 1000 gallon tanks cost $400, the average service price from nearby companies. Steve changed the pump and reassured me about their year labor warranty. I feel I made a great choice in picking Professional Plumbing Solutions.

This inspection was for a home sale. They performed a well inspection and said the pump pressure pressure switch was faulty possibly due to mineral buildup. It was running at 40psi vs 45psi and had to be replaced in order to pass inspection. The well inspection was $125 and to replace the switch and gauge would be $550. Whether readers believe this is a fair price, that will be up to them. I called around and average price for replacing a well pressure switch is $300. Even the information on Angie's list says it should only be around $200. The switch is around $20-$40 and is a fairly easy DIY job. But I needed a licensed plumber to perform the inspection and repairs in order to meet the home sale contract. It's up to the users to take away what they want from this.

Plumber arrived at scheduled time and quickly diagnosed problem as broken float switch on grinder pump. The pump worked fine but it would not turn off due to the faulty float switch.  Since this switch was integral to pump, we had to replace the entire unit. Plumber went to local supply house and quickly acquired new grinder pump.  Upon installing new unit he noted that the replacement pump did not have an integral float switch like it was supposed to.  Plumber returned to supply house to purchase an external float switch which he installed. Since the float could now be positioned anywhere in water column, the plumber set it to allow tank to fill to a much higher level than before.  As a result the pump cycles much less often (pumping more sewage with each cycle).  This should extend the life of the pump.  Also since the tank water level is now higher, even at the end of a pumping cycle, the water hammer associated with the discharge check valve slamming shut at the conclusion of each pump cycle has been eliminated - hurrah!

APlumbing Police LLC
The Plumbing Police (patrol, etc.) were customer oriented from the time I called and spoke with Debbie in the office through the time I paid the bill.  Debbie set a time frame on the following day for their plumbers to come out.  It was not an emergency and the time frame fit my schedule.  She called the next morning to say they were running a bit late and would be here about 30-45 minutes past the initial expectation of around noon.  Mike and Jonas arrived about 12:45 which I considered well within my initial expectations.  I have found many service companies to be far later, don't call, miss the appointment all together, and/or just never show.   Mike and Jonas introduced themselves and were cordial from the time they arrived until they left.  They listened to my issues and requests. They suggested they investigate the clog in the basement before bringing in their snake or any tools not necessary to fix the problem (clog that backed up all facilities in the basement bathroom).  They removed the toilet to investigate (which I had wanted re-seated anyway).  They then opened the basement sewage pump basin and immediately found the problem.  They told me they did not need their snake and other equipment as they would be able to clear clog from the basin pipes.  This saved me significant time, money and mess that I had originally expected.  They showed me what happened, cleared the clog and also showed me how I could do the job myself and avoid another service call for this issue.  They re-set the toilet with new wax ring and anchor bolts.  The toilet anchors had rusted, broken and the seal had failed.   Mike and Jonas were great to have working on the problem.  Great customer service, helpful, cost conscious and never tried to up sell me or do more work than was necessary to complete the job.  They not only saved me money on this service call but also showed me how to avoid another costly service call in the future.   I give them 5 stars. The Plumbing Police and these guys are my go to plumbers for the future.

The service plumber came out to check my sump pump which wasn't working. He pulled the sump pump and determined that it was broken. Then came the con. While he was out getting me a price on a new pump I was online looking for the average price of a new sump pump. He brought me a notebook with a typed out listing of the pumps they sell. The cheapest was 499.95. On line pumps at Home Depot and Lowe's were about 150.00 average. The next day we bought a pump at Home Depot for 130.oo similar to the pump that had worked for us for 19 years and installed it. I'm certain that ASAP has scammed many people with their grossly over-priced pumps so beware.

Charged over $3000 for a new $700 pump and a couple of hours work.  Refused to re-evaluate/reduce charges for pump to a reasonable level even when provided with data confirming the actual retail costs of an identical pump.

AThe Pipe Doctor Plumbing Service
Prompt service. I called Monday am and they were on sight that afternoon. Professional. Wayne got right to work inspecting and assessing the problem and quickly offered a cost estimate to repair. Reasonable rates with Angie's List discount included. I am very happy with Wayne's work and I will definitely call The Pipe Doctor first for any future plumbing issues.

The technician was nice, it took about an hour for him to take out my old sump pump and put a new one in, but I have a few problems First I think the price was very high especially in this economy. Second issue my top to the sump pump does not fit anymore do to how the tech installed the sump pump, Second since he redirected the pipe for the way to go out, it pumps out all over my stairwell. I wanted my sump pump installed, that I had just bought and I was told for alittle more their sump pump would have a 2 year warrenty so I agreeded, Then afterwards I was told that they could not give me a 2 year warrenty because the sump pump area does not have a basin! So to me that was wasted money! I asked the technician if he could install an outlet for the sump pump, and was told I needed to call an electrician. Overall I was not impressed, and would not recommend
