Recent Review: Although they had to return twice to finish the original job, they stood by their work.  Since the original install, we had service from them on two occasions.  The most recent time, it appeared that one of the SaniDrys was malfunctioning.  They originally scheduled a service call for May 12 between 12-2 with a technician named Alex out of the Manassas office.  When he was a no show, I called and was told that they did not have us on the schedule.  They were very apologetic and re-scheduled for the following Saturday, May 17.  In fact, the manager, Tom, called to personally apologize for the mix up and they offered free filter replacements for my trouble.  On the 17th, the technician, Miguel, arrived on time and was professional.  JES replaced the SaniDry, even though it was recently out of warranty.

Recent Review: Mark came to our house and made a recommendation that was pretty similar to his competitors. Seal-Tite's bid came in significantly lower. All bidders were highly-rated and professional. We had some concerns about the terms of the contract, which Seal-Tite addressed to our satisfaction. The crew was great. Gus, the foreman, was terrific. He asked about every part of the job where he thought we might have a concern. It turns out our footer was several feet lower than anticipated, but Seal-Tite did the extra digging without question. They were careful about debris and the placement of excavated fill. The encapsulation was done first and by the time the rest of the project was done, the musty smell we had previously experienced was mostly gone. We could not have been more pleased with Seal-Tite's performance.

Recent Review: When my wife and I arrived at the appointment time, Greg had already been onsite for some time and completed most of the exterior inspection. We didn't fell rushed through the process and Greg went above to explain the findings and took time to answer all our questions. The use of the thermograph camera to identify missing insulation and disconnected air ducts helped to identify heating/cooling efficiencies that weren't immediately noticeable during the first walk throughs. At the conclusion of the test, Greg provided a thumb drive with the photos taken during the inspection, and the full report and summary was provided the same day in an easy-to-follow format for us future homeowners. Greg also set in place the "radon test" and will provide results within 48-hrs of test completion.

Recent Review: Outstanding Service, I recommend PT Home Inspections, LLC without hesitation! "...To begin, you’re willingness to accommodate my home inspection needs into your schedule on such short notice was greatly appreciated! The fact that it was cold, rainy and miserable on both occasions…well; all I can say is what a trooper and showed complete professionalism and commitment to the job… The first inspection you conducted for me revealed significant factors; property needed a new roof, multiple electrical, as well as, ventilation issues. These had not been apparent on my own visual examination of the property. And as a result of your inspection, I decided not to proceed with the purchase, avoiding thousands of dollars in repairs. Taking into consideration some of the things I learned from the first inspection, I continued my search and eventually found another property. The second inspection you conducted for me was just as thorough and I’m happy to announce turned out to be “the one!” The inspection identified a range of minor repairs and maintenance items but revealed a solid base and gave me confidence in purchasing the property. Based on your findings, I was also successful in presenting and reaching an agreement with the seller to undertake repairs addressing a few of those items noted in the reports. Your reports on both occasions were thorough, comprehensive and extremely helpful to me in making my final decisions. The reports included detailed photographs of each phase of the property, as well as, videos with comments/notes to identify each item with the condition and recommendations. Not only was this helpful in the overall decision to buy this property, it will also be a useful guide for addressing minor repairs that I can make myself, as well as, basic maintenance that I can reference going forward in my new home. In sum, I was extremely pleased with your services and would be happy to recommend PT Home Inspections, LLC to others looking for thorough and comprehensive home inspection services..." With Best Regards and Big Thanks!! Connie, Culpeper, VA, March 2014.

Fred R , the home inspector, arrived promptly, and worked efficiently examining all areas of the home for a real estate transaction. He then took the time to walk us through the house and explain every part of the inspection. He encouraged questions and was thorough. He also had a great sense of humor and immediately put us at our ease. He delivered the report quickly and communicated well. I highly recommend Fred Reid and Accurate Home Inspections .

AClatterbuck Home Inspections, LLC
Greg Clatterbuck provided a home inspection service for a home that I intend to purchase. Mr. Clatterbuck was professional, prompt and provided a very thorough inspection of the home. After his inspection I was left with a thorough explanation and well documented report of his findings. The effort that was put forth has left me with details about the home that were necessary to know prior to purchasing the properties. I am confident that I will be able to make an informed decision about the property I intend to purchase because of employing Mr. Clatterbucks services. I would recommend to anyone interested in buying a home to spend the money on a home inspector and to contact Greg Clatterbuck for his exceptional service.

TJ Home Inspection was by far the best home inspectors I've had during the past 35 years of hiring inspectors. It is only because of Tony's knowledge, keen insight, professionalism and caring attitude that repairs were made by the builder that otherwise would have gone unnoticed. Because of Tony's knowledge, my builder made several major repairs that otherwise would have been costly to me over the years. Tony answered questions and explained his findings. Thank you Tony.

First ever home inspection for us. Fred was patient in answering all of our probably silly questions and helping us understand how to care for our first home. He arrived before us and was ready to go and very professional through the entire inspection. He used an iPad to efficiently take and fill out our information and take photos for our reference. The report was completed and ready for us to review at the end of the inspection and was sent to our email immediately. Will definitely be using his services again whenever we need help.

AAmerican Home Inspection Service
I wanted to have a home inspection on my house that I've owned since 1996, for various reasons (having the roof checked after last winter's blizzards, for one). The house was built in 1930. I wanted a professional to tell me the condition of the roof, chimney, attic, cracks in some walls, foundation, etc. I did not need any mechanical systems looked at since I have a company who checks them twice a year. So the inspection did not take as long as an inspection for a home being newly purchased. Danny is a very friendly, professional, knowledgable guy. He will jump up on the roof lightning quick (wait 'til you see his cool ladder) and he also climbed thru a small square hatch to get to the attic, with no problem. I learned a lot from Danny and he confirmed what I already knew which was that I needed to have a better foundation for my front porch. I've already hired a company to have a proper foundation put in. The job was completed and, Danny, if you are reading this....the cost of the foundation work was exactly in the middle of the range you estimated. My chimney had been leaking every time it rained. Danny examined the chimney and asked me who did the masonry work. He said they didn't do it properly and that the water was channeling inbetween the flues, causing the leaking. I called the masonry/chimney company, the next day, to complain. I told them I had their receipt (from 6 yrs ago) and a report from a home inspector. Well, they came over within a week and fixed it! No charge, either. Soon after that, we had several inches of rain. My chimney no longer leaks! Danny also fixed something for me, but I won't say what because then everyone will ask him to do the same thing if they have that problem! Danny gave me an incredibly fair price on the inspection. I definitely recommend him. I didn't list the cost of the inspection because it varies from house to house.

FAccurate Home Inspections
Fred missed way to many things despite us asking him to check items and pointing things out to him that were glaringly obvious to us. He laughed them off and insisted there were no problems. Items he missed have cost us a lot of time and money not to mention stress and discomfort, and we are not even close to being done. Very unprofessional and the follow up was disgraceful taking 5 weeks to reply to every email for months and not returning phone calls even after promising to fix items he missed. Some items like washer and dryer not working are understandable but structural issues, air conditioning and long term animal infestations are not. He just hoped we would get tired of calling him and go away. We want to let people who are trying to avoid problems by using a thorough inspector know This is the wrong company to use. Here is just some of what he missed. - Multi year bat infestation - Leaking widows in the basement wet the carpets constantly - Ant infestation that took over 4 months to fix - outside air handler broken - Two air condensation pumps were broken causing huge water leaks - furnace did not work - Two gas fireplace have never worked because the fans in both are broken (revealed from 2 other inspections) - electrics on the thermostat did not work - oven did not work - microwave did not work - garbage disposal did not work - Kitchen faucet leaked - doorbell did not work - Multiple faucets in the basement did not work - Upstairs shower did not work and the shower was not even sealed - All of the window seals have to be replaced - gutters and chimneys are homes to many birds Fred promised he would send people out to fix things but he did not for 2 months and when they came it was just to look around. He never got back to us about fixing things and we have written and called asking for him to make good on his promises for over 6 months. Now we realize he is just a terrible inspector and not even willing to take responsibility for his failings. He just gets by on very basic inspections and telling jokes. If you want a superficial inspection he would be perfect, but if you want an accurate inspection Stay Away! Other dissatisfied customers I have spoken to have said “Do not get involved with them. Fred Reid and his people should be stripped of their license”. I wish I had found their actual reviews before I hired Fred so I hope my review will save you lots of pain and heartache.
