Recent Review: Mike Laudicina and his sons, Chris and Tim, and everyone who worked on this job were courteous and highly professional.  They were on time and knew exactly what they were doing.  They took the time to explain what they were going to do and then did it.  All the subcontractors did this as well. They are a Residential & Commercial Construction company

Recent Review: Shower Door King was great to work with thru out the entire process. Tracy in the office was very responsive and followed up often, which was really appreciated. They offered expert advise which was also appreciated. Jaime and Christopher who were the installers were very nice, very professional. I will recommend this company to all of my friends and neighbors.

Recent Review: Not good. If you want attention to details and proper fit and finish with install than stay far away from these guys. He may be attentive to phone calls but the quality control is just not there. My shower doors leak from improper install. Glass doors on shower door hung unevenly. Drain plug for tub doesn't sit level when unplugged. My tub was all dinged up and damaged as his workers set up the saw for the tile in it. Drips of caulk and smears of grout all over tub top. Little spots of the red vapor barrier which is painted on the DuraRock before the tile all over tub. Feels like sandpaper as you rub your hand across it. They also used it for storage for their tools and gouged and dinged it all up. It will have to be refinished or replaced now. Medicine cabinet was not secure to the wall and a large screw was just driven in the top corner searching for a stud which it never found not to mention it wasn't centered on the wall. Tile floor and tile walls in shower were uneven and gaps weren't minded. Chipped tile on side of shampoo box inset. Board on bottom of vanity was flipped around without asking or telling exposing an unfinished surface. Shortcuts were taken with area around valve coming up for toilet. Whole bathroom was never cleaned or wiped down. Metal shavings from drilling when installing shower door were left in my tub. Side splash for vanity top reused but edges not cleaned before reinstall with a clear caulk exposing the seam with the back piece and the uncleaned back edge. Stains on newly installed carpet from grout that I had to pull off of the carpet. Edge protectors on my bed frame were found in pieces. Bottom of door wouldn't even clear the tile floor until they shaved the bottom but they didn't shave it straight. When I sent an email outlining all this he waked away saying he could never please me leaving a whole in my wall and all these things that I now have to fix/repair. A total nightmare. Stay far away from these amateurs if you don't want a mess to resolve afterwards and don;t by any means provide any feedback that borders on criticism or he will simply walk away.

Recent Review: I initially contacted Mr. Handyman in order to have some projects completed in my home. I wanted to have a drywall repair as well as some caulking along with a shower door install and have them frame an opening over my fireplace for my television and have the wires hidden. I was quoted at a day and a half of work for the said projects minus the shower door due to the fact that Mr. Handyman felt it was more of a custom job so they referred me to someone else. In the mean time I scheduled everything else to be done after discussing exactly what was to be done in my home. On April 13th, the handy was scheduled to arrive at my home at approximately 1pm however he did not show up until 130pm.  As the handyman reviewed with me as to what would need to be completed, he told me that he could not do the fireplace because I needed an electrician and he could not be there until the next day, although this was discussed prior to them being hired what the scope of work would be.  He then proceeded to perform the services however he then needed to leave and obtain materials in order to perform the job. According to the contract, if the handyman leaves to obtain materials, he is on the clock and you have to pay. However, I was able to not have to pay due to making it very clear prior to hiring the handyman as to what would be needed in order to perform the task. However, the handyman commenced working and completed caulking of the stairwell and told me he would come back to finish sanding. This job has now cost me 3 hours  not including the hour that it took to go to the hardware store, and the drywall job was still incomplete.  I called the office the next morning to discuss my concerns and I decided that I would no longer use their services due to the fact that it took 3 hours of time just to caulk stairs and still had not completed the drywall. I was told that he would return to finish sanding the drywall repair since it had not been done. I was under the impression that I would not be charged since he did not complete the task the day before nor did he complete the fireplace, however this was all the work left to be done since I would not be hiring for anything else. The Gentlemen returned to my home to complete the sanding and said to me I will caulk your fireplace since I did not do it yesterday, and I said ok fine. Not knowing that at the end of this I would be getting billed, I did. I was to be charged 115.00 for an hour and a quarter of work. The amount was however reduced after stating that the fireplace should have been completed the first day. So I end up paying an additional 69.00 just for sanding. If I knew that I would be charged they would not have come back. I am disappointed with the company due to the fact that I feel as though with the price I paid out, I should have received more work. I called the owner and expressed my concerns however of course he did not feel the same. Mr. Stark was very disrespectful. I did not have any issues with paying out the money for the work I received, however when the man returned today I was under the impression that he was only sanding and that I wouldn't be charged and he offered to perform the other service since he did not complete it on the initial day of hire. Because of all this Mr. Stark stated to me that basically I can only afford a 20.00  handy man and that I was not a good fit for his company and he also had the audacity to call my husband a liar. Of course however I believe this was Mr. Starks way of what you call trying to beat someone to the punch. Needless to say whether or not he felt I would be a good fit for his company  or not did not matter because I wouldn't hire them again anyway and what makes him so unprofessional is the fact that he had call me back to say all of this after I paid the money. How unprofessional and callus of man Mr. Stark is.  Other than not caring for Mr. Starks manners however, the gentleman that did perform the work did an excellent job. I would ask him to do work for me but not Mr. Handyman.

Recent Review: Rich Sowinski of Virginia Bath Company replaced the master bath shower door and controls. All work was expertly done. His professionalism and skill were top-notch. But these qualities are not what impressed me the most. I have been trying to replace the shower door for several months and it has been incredibly frustrating. Neither we nor contractors we contacted were able to find a replacement door. When I contacted Rich Sowinski at Virginia Bath Company, he immediately came out, took measurements, and began looking for a door and fittings. There was no hesitation in his approach to the job. He found the door wiithin a day or two and contacted me to set a day for installation. Weather delayed the work but Rich kept me updated. Schedule changes were communicated quickly.  I would not hesitate to contact Virginia Bath Company (and Rich Sowinski) for additional work and highly recommend both the company and Rich for plumbing work.

After the company came out and looked at our proect he said he would email an estimate that afternoon. Since then, we have had no contact, in spite of repeated emails andd voicemails we have left. Neither the contractor nor the office will respond. I do not recommen this company as theyare totally unresponsive without any explanation. We have asked them to at least let us know if they are not interested in the project but they haven't even had the courtesy to respond. Very puzzling and quite frustrating.

The crew were polite, courteous and professional.  The glass block walls (2) were removed without any damage to the floor.  My concerns and questions during the remodeling were dealt within a reasonable manner.  In the end, my new shower looks and feels like a spa retreat.. We are very satisfied with the work.

ASteve Spratt Improvements
All went well and workmanship and the workmen are top notch. We got three quotes each time but always can back to Spratt. They always showed up on time, made sure the surrounding areas were protected and when they left at night you could not tell that they had been there. They last job they did for us was our bathrooms. They was an issue with the shower door and they stayed with it until we were satisfied. They come highly recommended.

FMr. Handyman of Williamsburg and The Peninsula
I submitted a request on 12/4 (via the mrhandyman.com service request form) to have a shower door frame repaired.  I received a automated reply email shortly thereafter.  It's been 5 days and I still have not heard anything back from the company.  Time to find a different company.  Why do they have an online service request form if no one reads it or follows up on it?
